Chapter 400 You're Just a Baby-Making Machine

Isabella was in an unusually upbeat and cheerful mood.

Her heart felt light and buoyant, as if it were floating in the air, making her feel like she was walking on clouds.

She looked down, rubbing her belly, and couldn't help but hum a tune.

At this moment, she didn't notice the person ahead, wrapped up tightly and sneaking towards her.

Grace didn't expect that after waking up and coming out to eat due to hunger, she would run into Isabella.

Her mind immediately became active.

She wanted to kidnap Isabella and threaten Sebastian to let her go.

Then, she would tell Isabella that Lynda was the culprit and Sebastian was protecting Lynda!

She wanted to make sure all three of them would never have peace!

Grace slowed her steps, pulled up her mask, and approached Isabella step by step.

As she contemplated the upcoming days, free from the confines of the dark basement, excitement surged within her, causing her heart to race with intensity.

Behind her sunglasses, Grace's excited and fervent eyes were fixed on Isabella without blinking.

Her gaze was venomous and sinister.

The large sunglasses couldn't hide these emotions from leaking out.

Grace's gaze was too intense for Isabella to ignore.

She stopped, halted her steps, and looked up at the mysterious person a few steps away.

Through the sunglasses, Isabella couldn't see the face clearly, but she could tell that this mysterious person was threatening.

Isabella roughly scanned the disguised person from head to toe.

A familiar feeling came over her.

It was Grace!

It was actually her, and she dared to come out!

Isabella's eyes widened, her pupils narrowing as a wave of intense hatred swirled within her blue eyes.

She wished she could grind Grace's bones to dust.

But Isabella protected her belly.

She was pregnant and couldn't confront Grace head-on.

The current Grace, at the end of her rope, was no different from a madwoman who could do anything.

Grace saw Isabella's panic and felt a surge of excitement.

She took off her sunglasses and removed her mask, revealing a sullen face.

"Isabella, long time no see. Are you afraid of me? What are you afraid of? Haven't you always been unafraid of me?" Grace grinned.

She was now so thin that her cheekbones protruded, making her smile look even more sinister.

Isabella met Grace's eyes and felt a suffocating sensation as if a venomous snake was wrapped around her neck.

Grace let out a creepy laugh, leaning her neck forward, hunching her back, and rubbing her rough, tree-bark-like hands together for warmth.

Then, she walked towards Isabella step by step.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I just need to use you to threaten Sebastian to let me go."

Her voice was very low, almost coaxing, "Do you know what kind of life I've been living? Yesterday, I was scared unconscious by the rats in the basement. When I woke up in the morning, my hair was full of rat droppings. How pitiful I am!"

Initially, Isabella had considered turning around and avoiding the presence of this deranged woman. However, upon noticing Mario approaching from behind Grace, she swiftly dismissed the thought and decided to stay put.

She looked Grace in the eye, took a step back, and responded, "You are quite pitiful."

Isabella followed Grace's words, trying to buy time for Mario.

Grace's eyes were bloodshot, and upon hearing Isabella say she was pitiful, her eyes became even redder, and her eyeballs bulged out.

"Pitiful?" she shouted excitedly, "Isabella, what nonsense are you talking about! I'm the mayor's daughter, how could I be pitiful!"

Grace's emotions were unstable. She stopped walking, her hands hanging by her sides clenched tightly.

She shouted, trembling, "Isabella, clearly. You are the most pitiful! You are pitiful, you are pitiful!"

Isabella watched Mario's approaching steps, and the huge stone hanging in her heart settled down.

She then looked away, briefly cold-faced, and glanced at Grace.

"How dare you look at me like that!" Grace was provoked by Isabella's contemptuous look.

She gritted her teeth, making a crisp sound between her teeth, and the muscles on her face bulged clearly.

She trembled uncontrollably, pointing her finger at Isabella's belly. "How dare you look down on me! So what if you have a child? It's useless, you're just a tool for having children!"

"Do you think Sebastian really cares about you?" Grace sneered, "It's fake, you've been deceived. Isabella, you're so stupid. You've been deceived by Sebastian!"

Isabella couldn't be bothered to argue with such a madwoman.

She knew best what kind of person Sebastian was.

She didn't need others to point fingers in front of her.

Isabella remained silent, not saying a word.

No matter how fiercely Grace shouted, in Isabella's eyes, it was just the anger of someone at the end of their rope, the last bit of excitement.

"You don't believe me?" Grace hated Isabella's calm and detached demeanor the most.

She opened her mouth, her chest heaving, breathing heavily, her face flushed red, and she made a move to rush towards Isabella.

Unexpectedly, an iron-like hand clamped onto her wrist.

Grace immediately couldn't move.

She held her breath, biting her lip, and looked to the side.

A tall and indifferent Mario stood beside her.

The color quickly drained from Grace's face, turning as pale as a sheet of paper.

She had forgotten that Isabella wouldn't come out without bodyguards!

Moreover, Sebastian's people had been hunting her down.

"Who are you?" Grace pretended to be ignorant, angrily shaking her hand. "In broad daylight, don't touch me!"

Mario remained unyielding, his lips tightly compressed into a thin line, exuding a coldness that seemed more mechanical than human.

Grace's wrist was about to be crushed, and she grimaced in pain.

Enduring the pain, Grace looked over at Isabella.

Isabella was calm and indifferent, with only a hint of mockery at the corner of her mouth.

Grace's mind was in chaos. Now, she could no longer deceive herself; the Mario beside her was indeed from the Lawrence family.

She had been caught.

She was about to return to the dark and sunless prison.

Grace shook her head frantically and thought, 'No, she couldn't!'

"I'm the mayor's daughter. Let go of me, how dare you, let go of me!" Grace screamed sharply, "Isabella, tell him to let go of me!"

Isabella didn't even want to look at Grace.

People like her, just like Lynda, should spend their entire lives in prison.

"Temporarily lock her in the basement of Willowbrook Estate. The specific handling plan will be decided by Sebastian," Isabella said to Mario.

Mario respectfully replied, "Yes, ma'am."

With that, Mario clamped Grace's wrist and pressed her away.

Grace shuddered in fear, even the mere mention of the word "basement" was enough to send chills down her spine, let alone the thought of Sebastian's punishment.

The afternoon sun radiated warmth, but Grace felt cold all over.

"Isabella, you can't do this!" Grace turned her head and shouted at Isabella's departing figure, "You can't do this to me, the real culprit is Lynda!"
