Chapter 85 Sebastian Actually Overslept Today!
Isabella gently removed his hand and muttered to herself, "But what should we do about Director Watson and Chief Nick..."
Sebastian's tone was casual, as if it wasn't a big deal. "If we offend them, so be it."
"It's all because of me..."
“Feeling guilty?”
She nodded slightly, "Yes."
A glint of interest suddenly appeared in Sebastian's eyes, "In that case... just compensate me properly."
"Compensate? What do you...uh..."
He grabbed the covers with his large hand and forcefully pulled them, enveloping both of them completely inside.
The moon blushed and hid behind the clouds.
When Isabella woke up, it was already bright outside. She glanced at the window, closed her eyes again, rolled over, and her hair fell, covering half of her face.
She rubbed her head against the pillow and let out a satisfied sigh.
A bony hand reached over and pushed away her hair. "Awake?" he asked.
"Ah!" Isabella was startled and abruptly opened her eyes, staring at the man who was now close to her, dumbfounded.
"Are you still half-asleep or sleepwalking?" Sebastian asked. "Looking at me like this... I'm afraid I won't be able to control myself."
His voice was magnetic, with a touch of drowsiness from waking early, making it almost seductive to the ears.
"You... you... you... you..." Isabella stared at him in shock. "You're Sebastian?"
The handsome man furrowed his brows and tapped her forehead with his hand. "Didn't you even recognize me?"
"It's not... It's not that," Isabella stammered.
"If it's not me, then who do you think it is? Who else did you see after waking up this morning, hmm?"
Isabella held her forehead. "Stop hitting me. I... I was wrong!"
Only then did Sebastian retract his hand. "It's to wake you up."
He was still wearing his pajamas, his hair messy, revealing a well-toned chest, with a few scratches left by Isabella from yesterday.
Isabella rarely saw him like this. Whenever Sebastian appeared, he was always dressed neatly, in a tailored suit, even his shoes were shining and immaculate.
"I just didn't expect it..." she pouted. "Before, every time I woke up, you had already gone to the company. I got used to waking up alone."
Who would have thought that Sebastian would be late today?
She didn't anticipate it and was stunned for a while.
He reached out and pulled her back into his arms. "Just wanted you to sleep a bit longer."
"When you usually wake up early, I never get woken up..." Isabella quickly hugged him, embracing his strong waist. "Why aren't you going to the company today? What time is it?"
"A little after nine."
"Well, that's not early," she said. "Is work not busy today?"
"It's Saturday."
Isabella paused for a moment before realizing, "Oh, it's Saturday... I completely forgot."
Since she had been following Sebastian at the company for so long, occasionally attending dinner parties on weekends, her life had become somewhat blurry.
So, it turns out she didn't have to go to the company today.
Therefore, Sebastian was late, not because he wanted to sleep in and spend more time with her, but simply because it was the weekend.
The little joy that had just risen in Isabella's heart vanished completely.
What was she even fantasizing about?
How could Sebastian make an exception for her? He had always prioritized work and rarely came late or skipped work.
And it was also because of his commitment to his work that he had built the Lawrence Group up and was able to achieve its current development through regulations and hard work.
"Every day, I have so much on my mind," Sebastian ruffled her hair and asked, "Have you had enough sleep? Do you want to get up?"
"...If I want to laze around a bit longer, would you accompany me?"
He frowned, "What's so good about sleeping?"
“Have you never experienced the pleasure of staying in bed?”
Sebastian thought for a moment, "I don't have a great need for sleep. Sleeping with you until after nine today made my bones stiff."
"But I'm tired," Isabella responded confidently. "Do you think everyone is as energetic and vigorous as you are?"
“Is that so?”
"Yes! It's backache and soreness..."
As soon as she said that, Sebastian's hand moved to her back.
As soon as he touched her, her whole body trembled, “What...what are you doing?”
"Isn't it sore?" Sebastian replied, "Let me massage it for you."
"No...there's no need."
He was suddenly being so nice, and she wasn't quite used to it.
“What’s there to be afraid of?” he asked, “Are you afraid that I’ll eat you again?”
Isabella quickly covered his mouth, and he kissed her hand in response, "Get up."
In the dining room, a sumptuous and nutritious breakfast was spread out on the table.
Isabella took a sip of oatmeal, which was fragrant, sweet, and soft, sweeping away all the frustrations and unhappiness from yesterday.
The butler stood nearby, occasionally looking up at Sebastian, then lowering his head as if he had something to say.
Sebastian, however, ignored him completely and placed a peeled egg in Isabella's bowl, saying, "Eat it."
He rarely took care of others.
"Mr. Lawrence." After hesitating for a while, the butler spoke, "There are guests outside, they said they want to see you."
“If they are from the Watson family, ask them to leave. ”
"But...they have been waiting outside all night."
Upon hearing this, Isabella was secretly shocked. The Watson family has been waiting since last night?
She looked at Sebastian.
His eyes and expression were indifferent, as if he didn't care at all, "If they like waiting, let them continue."
The butler wanted to say something else, but Sebastian gave him a glance, and he could only close his mouth.
"Have Kaine contact the lawyer," he instructed, "and tell him that if we can't win this lawsuit, the entire legal department will cease to exist."
“Yes, Mr. Lawrence.”
Isabella took a bite of the egg and asked, "Are you planning to sue him?"
"Yes."
“Then, where is he now?”
Sebastian looked up at her, "Do you want to know?"
“I’m just curious...” she said, “Did you lock him up?”
"I didn't lock him up, he voluntarily reflects and seeks redemption," Sebastian casually replied, "Do you understand?"
Isabella swallowed what was in her mouth and nodded, remaining silent.
If we were to sue him for harassment, he might be sentenced to a couple of years, which would teach Bob a lesson and make him behave more cautiously in the future.
"The weather is nice," Sebastian sipped his coffee and looked out the window. "Do you have any plans for today?"
Isabella pondered for a moment, "If you don't have anything scheduled, I'd like to visit my grandmother."
"I'll accompany you."
"Okay."
Just as they were about to leave, Anthony hurriedly rushed over, looking extremely anxious.
