Chapter 332 Swearing by the Heart, for this Lifetime
Soon after, his Adam's apple rolled, and he spoke with a deep magnetism, "Let's not dwell on the past; from now on, I will treat you well."
"Isabella, from now on... wherever I am, is your home."
Sebastian gazed unwaveringly at Isabella, holding her hand close to his chest, "I swear by the heart, for this lifetime."
Isabella's tears glistened, her eyes grew warm, her cheeks flushed with warmth, and heat spread to her ears and neck. Her heart felt warm and fuzzy.
While she cried, a smile dawned on her lips. "Shall we spend our lives together?"
Sebastian's lips curved in a smile, "Indeed, Mrs. Lawrence, you can interpret it as being my wife for a lifetime."
"You are so good at sweet talking." Isabella was momentarily at a loss for words. She cleared her throat and gently touched Sebastian's forehead. "No fever?"
Sebastian's pupils deepened, a smile lurking in his eyes, "No, no fever."
"In that case... I must take it seriously." In the lamplight, Isabella's eyes shimmered with a glossy sheen.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow in response, "Why not?"
Blushing cheeks, Isabella blinked playfully with her bright eyes.
"Let's take a shower." A shadow flickered in Sebastian's eyes as he bent over suddenly, lifting Isabella in his arms.
"Shower? You and me... together?!"
"Is there a problem?"
Isabella's cheeks reddened, the flush spreading to her ears.
She pushed at Sebastian, feeling uncomfortable all over, using both legs and feet. "I can manage on my own. You go attend to your business."
Sebastian disagreed, "No."
With an unwavering gaze ahead, he spoke earnestly and boldly. "I wish to take a couple's bath with my wife. What's wrong with that?"
"I haven't touched her in over a month. I'll rub against her with a certain part..."
Oh no, how could he speak like that!!
Isabella's face was red, quickly reaching out to cover Sebastian's mouth.
Her eyes widened, sternly warning, "You clearly vented a few days ago. Keep quiet, you can wash with me if you want, but don't touch me, and don't force me!"
"Otherwise! I'll get angry," Isabella asserted now with a commanding tone, "If I get angry, you'll have to sleep in the guest room tonight!"
"Do you hear me!" Isabella lifted her chin, "If you agree, then just blink."
Sebastian found Isabella's lively demeanor before him enthralling, his throat tightening, a stirring feeling within.
So, this was the brightness and vivacity of her when she truly loved him.
He smiled to Isabella, swallowing hard, then lightly lowered his head to kiss the palm of Isabella's hand.
Isabella's palm felt itchy and tingling, her arm going stiff.
She bit her lower lip lightly, quickly withdrawing her hand, unsure where to look. "Since you agree, don't tease me like that."
A sexy and magnetic chuckle escaped Sebastian's throat.
He then pushed open the bathroom door. "Thank you, Mrs. Lawrence, for inviting me to bathe together. I promise I won't do anything inappropriate, I swear to god."
Isabella snapped back to reality. Initially, she intended to refuse to shower with Sebastian, but his suggestive hints compelled her to agree as long as he didn't force her to satisfy him..
It was a calculated move; he never intended otherwise. He just wanted a couple's bath in the first place.
"Deceitful capitalist," Isabella teased, "Using negotiations for a bath together, shameless of you."
Sebastian locked the door, sat Isabella down, and started the water, casually saying, "It would be a waste not to use a valuable skill."
Isabella wanted to kick Sebastian's backside, making him lose face, but whether it was the steam or the perfect atmosphere, she didn't find the heart to do it. Instead, she took a few steps forward and embraced Sebastian from behind, innocently rubbing his back.
"Sebastian, you have such a great physique," she cooed in a sweet, endearing tone.
Sebastian's water-running action paused, his head heating up.
He turned around abruptly, startling Isabella, pushing her against the wall, and gritting his teeth. "You seduced me," he said.
"Don't... don't move... hey, you're sleeping in the guest room tonight... um..."
The misty steam veiled a very enchanting scene.
After over half an hour, Sebastian emerged from the bathroom carrying Isabella.
Isabella's arms felt too sore to move, so she let Sebastian handle her.
Sebastian felt refreshed, a smile playing on his lips as he tucked Isabella into bed and covered her with a thin blanket. He kissed her forehead. "Sleep tight, I have a meeting. I'll take you out for dinner tonight."
"You're being fickle; your words are unreliable." Isabella grumbled, blushing, shooting Sebastian a glare, turning away from him, "I don't wanna eat!"
Sebastian leisurely fixed his tie, slipped on his coat, and quickly reverted to his usual composed self, exuding a formal demeanor.
"I refuse to take the blame. It was my dear Mrs. Lawrence who extended the invitation; how could I disappoint her?"
"Shut up!" Isabella suddenly stood up, swiftly got off the bed, and pushed Sebastian out the door.
With an extended arm, she opened the living room door, shoving him out with annoyance.
Then, she swiftly closed the door, leaving just a crack open, poking her head out. "Sly fox!"
"Bang!" Isabella slammed the door shut firmly.
Sebastian's demeanor became more gentle all over.
He sat calmly in his chair, a content smile on his face. His gaze softened as he looked towards the living room.
The office door was rapped.
Sebastian's expression turned serious. "Come in."
Kaine had heard from the secretaries at the secretary's office about Mr. Lawrence's argument with Isabella.
When he heard the invitation to enter, his legs trembled slightly, but steeling himself, he went inside.
Upon entering the office and seeing the boss leisurely flipping through documents with a casual demeanor, he was stunned.
No argument? In a good mood?
"The meeting at three-thirty will proceed as scheduled," Sebastian said in a serious tone.
"Yes, sir," Kaine replied promptly.
Sebastian frowned, dropping his pen and giving Kaine a displeased look.
Clearing his throat, Kaine stood up straight, "Mr. Lawrence, do you have any further instructions?"
"Lower your voice," Sebastian lowered his tone, "She's sleeping."
Kaine was utterly confused.
Why did their relationship suddenly improve?
"Yes, Mr. Lawrence."
After affirming, Kaine decided not to mention the exceptional soundproofing in the rest area. Even the noise from dancing and singing wouldn't reach here.
Sebastian nodded, calmly issuing further orders.
"By the way," Sebastian raised a point, "Keep a close eye on the activities of the Wallace Group in the coming days."
"Yes." Kaine noted each instruction.
