"Yeah." Larry didn't deny it. He puffed out his chest and said, "Sue's Imperial Residence? That's mine. I can go there whenever I want. And Helen? I got her into the Epoch Group. Sue does whatever I say."
Chloe rolled her eyes at Larry. "Such a blowhard."
The Lewis Family members all looked at him with disdain. Larry was so full of himself.
Oscar suddenly chimed in, "So, according to you, Sue from the Epoch Group is your lackey, and the Free King who showed up at the Imperial Residence today was your guest?"
"Absolutely," Larry replied, looking Oscar in the eye.
"Such a blowhard," Oscar scoffed.
The rest of the Lewis Family looked displeased, too.
They didn't need to suck up to Larry anymore because it wasn't Larry who saved the Lewis Family from their crisis.
Helen was from the Martin Family and had nothing to do with Larry.
Larry was telling the truth, but the Lewis Family didn't buy it, and there was nothing he could do about it.
It wasn't that they didn't want to believe him. They just couldn't.
A son-in-law who came back from the military, a nobody in the Lewis Family, couldn't possibly have such connections.
If Larry had those kinds of connections, the Lewis Family would have been thriving long ago.
"Chloe, we really owe you this time. Handing over the family to you is the smartest move. I know you can lead us to greatness," Victor said, looking at Chloe. "But I have one more question."
"Go ahead, Grandpa."
Victor asked, "Ten years ago, who exactly did you save from the Bennett family?"

Victor knew it was because of the person Chloe saved ten years ago. That was why these big shots respected Chloe so much. But Victor didn't know the full story.

Larry stayed home for a few hours.
The door opened, and the family walked in, chatting and laughing.
"Helen, I didn't expect Miss Cox to be so forgiving. She let us off with just a meal, waiving thirty billion."
"Helen, how did you get a job at the Epoch Group so quickly? And you know someone as important as Miss Cox. You really make the Martin Family proud."
The family walked in, accompanied by Helen.
Because Helen stepped in and brought Sue, the Lewis Family's crisis was resolved. Now, the whole family was flattering Helen.
Helen smiled and said, "I came to Sunset City to look for a job. It just so happened that the Epoch Group was newly established and hiring a lot of people. I tried and met Miss Cox on the way.
