Chapter 461 Richard Reappears

"Gone?" Larry was stunned for a moment. "How could she just leave?"

Abigail sighed. "She was acting weird last night, asking all these strange questions."

"Like what?"

"She felt like she was causing you trouble by being here, making things hard for you. She thought you were staying at Esmeralda's because of her and not at the Lewis family home. This morning, she was gone, and she took all her stuff with her."

Larry's face grew serious.

"Why are you just standing there? Go find her!"

"But... where do I even start?" Larry was at a loss.

Abigail said, "She must've gone back to Aurora Citadel. She probably hasn't reached the airport yet. With your skills, you can definitely catch up to her."

Larry nodded and quickly headed downstairs.

Paisley was already up, using Qi to expel the excess cold from Esmeralda's body.

Seeing Larry come down, Paisley stopped what she was doing.

Larry asked, "How is she?"

Paisley replied, "She's stable for now. Don't worry about Esmeralda right now. Go find Trinity. Even though I haven't known her long, I can tell she's a good person who cares about you. Don't let a girl like that slip away."

"I'll go look for her." Larry headed for the door.

Before he could leave, Abigail called out, "I'm heading to the office. Let me know if you find her."

"Got it." Larry shouted back as he walked out the door.

Once outside the villa, he took out his phone and called Trinity.

Larry tried calling, but Trinity's phone was off, and he couldn't get through.

He thought for a moment and then called Free.

The call connected quickly, and Free's voice came through, "Larry, you're back?"

Larry said, "Free, I need a favor. Contact the airport, train station, and bus station immediately. I need you to intercept someone for me."

"Who?" Free asked.

"Trinity," Larry replied.

Free frowned and said, "Larry, if this were business, I'd help you without question. But using my authority for your personal matters... if word gets out..."

"Free, this is the last time. The situation is very unclear right now. I don't know how many people are watching me or those around me. If Trinity leaves and gets into danger or is captured by enemies, what then?"

"The last time."

Free hung up the phone.

He then issued an order to notify the airport, train station, bus station, and docks to intercept Trinity if she tried to leave.

Larry took a cab to the airport.

Although he didn't know which mode of transportation Trinity would choose, flying seemed the most likely. He hoped to catch her at the airport.

Last night, Trinity had thought long and hard.

She felt that her presence had put Larry in a difficult position.

Trinity knew Larry was a hero, a warrior who had given up the woman he loved, Chloe, because of a promise.

She wanted to pursue her own happiness but didn't want to ruin someone else's.

Trinity decided she should leave.

If she left, Larry wouldn't be troubled.

So, before dawn, she packed her bags and left alone.

Trinity bought a ticket back to Aurora Citadel.

She had just gotten out of the car and hadn't reached the airport yet.

"Trinity, where are you headed?"

A voice called out.

Trinity looked around, confused.

She saw an elderly man standing not far away.

The man looked about sixty, wearing loose white clothes, with a buzz cut and almost entirely white hair. He was smiling brightly at her.

She frowned slightly.

The man walked over and stood in front of her.

"Sir, are you talking to me?" Trinity asked.

"Of course, I am."

The man was Richard.

Richard leaned in and whispered something in Trinity's ear.

"Really?" Trinity's face lit up with joy.

"Of course," Richard said with a smile. "Come with me. I promise I won't lie to you."

Trinity thought for a moment and nodded, "Okay."

She followed Richard, leaving the airport and getting into a black sedan.

Meanwhile, Larry arrived at the airport.

He called Free.

Free told him that Trinity had indeed booked a ticket but hadn't boarded the plane.

"She didn't board?" Larry frowned.

"Yeah, her flight's already taken off, but she wasn't on it."

"Okay, I understand."

Larry hung up.

He sat on the steps outside the airport, smoking a cigarette, deep in thought. "She didn't board. Where could she have gone?"

"Could something have happened to her?"

He suddenly felt anxious and called Free again, "Free, activate the intelligence network. I have a bad feeling. Trinity might be in trouble."

"Got it."

This time, Free didn't hesitate.

He immediately activated the military intelligence network.

He even pulled up surveillance footage from the airport and nearby areas.

Soon, he found something.

Larry waited patiently outside the airport.

About ten minutes later, he received a surveillance video.

The video showed Richard talking to Trinity, and then Trinity getting into a car with him.

Larry's phone rang.

"I've sent you the video. Trinity left with the man in the video. We haven't identified him yet, and we haven't tracked the black sedan."

"I understand."

Larry hung up.

He stared at the video, enlarging it.

The image was a bit blurry, and he couldn't clearly see Richard's face, but the man looked familiar.

"Who is this? What did he say to Trinity? Why did she go with him?"

Larry muttered to himself.

Suddenly, his heart skipped a beat.

"Grandpa..."

He recognized the old man in the video.

It was his grandfather, who had been framed, turned against his father, and supposedly burned to death ten years ago.

"Impossible?"

Larry shook his head.

This couldn't be his grandfather. His grandfather had died ten years ago. It couldn't be him.

But the man in the video looked so much like him, almost identical. If it wasn't his grandfather, who could it be?

Larry was in a daze.

After a while, he snapped out of his shock and sent the video to Matthew, instructing, "Use your underground intelligence network to find out who this man is. I need all his information, immediately."

"Larry, gathering information takes time. I'll get back to you within three days."

"No, I need it by tonight," Larry ordered.

Matthew sighed. He had been helping Larry with intelligence gathering a lot lately.

"Alright, I'll do my best."

Matthew hung up.
