Chapter 420 Breakup, Larry You Will Regret It

If Larry could choose his life, if he had a chance, he would choose to go back ten years.

Back to before the Bennett family was burned down.

That way, his life would take a different turn.

That way, he would most likely end up with Abigail, spending the rest of his life with her.

"Larry, you should head back to Southwild and handle things there. I've got professional caregivers here at the hospital," Trinity said, aware that Larry had been reinstated.

He was now not only the commander of Southwild's Black Dragon Army but also the Dragon King.

Larry nodded.

Returning to Southwild to lead the Black Dragon Army was indeed more important than personal matters.

"I'll call Abigail, then I'll leave right away." Larry took out his phone and called Abigail.

Abigail had just finished work and was leaving the office to go out for dinner when she received Larry's call. She couldn't help but ask, "What's up? Is Trinity okay?"

"No, she's fine. I'm heading back to Southwild."

"What? Why?"

Larry explained, "A lot happened last night, and it got the King's attention. He sent someone over with evidence of Alistair's crimes and a secret order. I'm going back to Southwild to lead the Black Dragon Army again, to be the Dragon King, to go to Aurora Citadel, retrieve the Execution Sword, and take down Alistair."

"Reinstated?" Abigail was slightly stunned, then she exclaimed with joy, "That's awesome! Congrats!"

"I'm leaving right away. If you have time, please visit Trinity more often."

"Sure, don't worry. I'll keep an eye on things for you," Abigail joked.

"Alright, that's it for now. I'll hang up."

Larry hung up the phone.

Then he looked at Trinity and said, "Rest and recover. I've informed Abigail, and she'll come to visit you more often."

"Alright, stop nagging and go," Trinity replied.

Larry didn't say much more and turned to leave.

Just as he turned, the door was pushed open.

A tall, stunning woman walked in, wearing a sexy, low-cut dress and sporting chestnut-colored, wavy hair with sunglasses.

She was Chloe.

Chloe took off her sunglasses, glanced at Trinity lying on the bed, then looked at Larry with a hint of resentment on her beautiful face. "Where are you rushing off to?"

Larry frowned and asked, "Why are you here?"

"Abigail told me."

Chloe walked in and sat on the sofa in the room, crossing her legs, revealing her long, sexy legs.

"What happened last night?"

Larry hadn't expected Chloe to come. He paused slightly and said, "It's none of your business."

Chloe's emotions instantly flared up. She stood up and shouted, "Larry, I'm your wife. How can it not be my business?"

She pointed at Trinity, who was lying on the bed wrapped in bandages, and asked, "What's wrong with her? How did she get hurt?"

Larry took a deep breath.

He was about to return to Southwild, and he should explain things to Chloe, make things clear, and end it once and for all.

He sat down and lit a cigarette.

"You know Alistair has always been targeting me. I've made it this far because of his schemes. After returning to Sunset City, I investigated Alistair's activities. Last night, Trinity went to gather intelligence and was captured by Alistair's men. I went to rescue her, but Alistair escaped."

Larry briefly explained the situation.

"So, you've been pretending to be sick all this time?" Chloe asked.

Larry shook his head. "Not exactly. I've just temporarily suppressed the Gu."

"Why?" Chloe demanded. "I'm your wife. Even an outsider knows what you're doing, but I know nothing. She can do things for you, but I can't? Are you worried I'll mess things up?"

"We're divorced. I've repaid what I owed you," Larry said, taking a deep breath. "Since we're divorced, let's not disturb each other, okay?"

"Repaid?" Chloe stood up and sneered. "Can you really repay me? Do you know how much I've suffered? How many decades does a person have? Because of you, I've endured ten years of hardship and scorn. You think saying you've repaid me is enough?"

"What do you want?" Larry asked, looking at her.

Chloe stared coldly at Larry and said, "Larry, you'll never be able to repay me."

"Chloe, can you not do this?" Larry said helplessly. "When we divorced, you said we should part amicably. Do we have to make things difficult for each other?"

"Are you determined to leave?"

Chloe's face darkened.

Her attitude had completely changed.

"If we're not suitable, why force it?"

"Fine, very well." Chloe's eyes were icy as she stared at Larry. "Larry, you'll regret this."

She turned and left.

The room fell silent.

Trinity hadn't spoken the entire time.

After Chloe left, she anxiously said, "Larry, what are you doing? Go after her!"

Larry shook his head slightly.

Since things were clear, there was no need to chase after her.

As long as Chloe didn't do anything out of line, he was relieved.

"Focus on recovering. I'll return to Southwild and come back to see you once I'm done."

Larry stood up and left the room.

He went straight to the military district to find Free.

Meanwhile, Chloe left the hospital.

After leaving, she cried.

She cried bitterly.

Chloe knew she had hurt Larry before, but she had realized her mistake and was trying to make amends.

She was working hard to win Larry back, but all she got in return was a statement that he had repaid her.

Chloe leaned on the steering wheel, sobbing.

"Do you need a tissue?"

A voice suddenly came.

The unexpected voice startled Chloe.

She turned and saw someone sitting in the passenger seat.

It was an elderly man, wearing a brown coat with white hair.

"Who are you?" Chloe asked, her face wary.

"Don't you remember?" The old man smiled brightly at Chloe.

Chloe stared at the old man. She had no memory of him.

She shook her head. "I don't remember."

The old man nodded and said, "It's normal not to remember. Ten years ago, you were unconscious."

"Who are you?"

The old man smiled and said, "Ten years ago, you saved Larry from the fire, but you were also burned and unconscious. You thought no one saved you, but did you really think you could survive?"

Chloe frowned.

Could it be that this man saved her ten years ago?

"Who are you?"

The old man smiled faintly and said, "My name is Richard."

"Richard, Larry's grandfather?" Chloe exclaimed.

"That's right," Richard chuckled.

Chloe took a deep breath, looking at the old man. During that fire, the Bennett family was burned to death.

She hadn't expected Richard to be alive, let alone that he had hidden for ten years and now appeared, seeking her out.

"Mr. Bennett, what do you want from me?"

"You said you wanted Larry to regret. I'm here to give you that chance. Do you know why the Gu in your body hasn't acted up?"

Chloe had been puzzled about this.

Back at Heavenly Mountain Pass, she had indeed ingested the Gu, but it hadn't acted up all this time.

Richard's mention of it made her eyes light up. "Did you secretly help me, Mr. Bennett?"

"Well, you're not entirely clueless. If you want Larry to regret, you'll need great power because Larry has now cultivated Qi and is a master of martial arts!"

Richard casually turned the ring on his thumb and said, "From now on, you are the heir to the Cabinet Room."
