Chapter 333 A Hero Saves the Damsel in Distress
Larry left Alistair's house.
As soon as he left, he took out his phone and called Valerian.
"Find out Chloe's whereabouts immediately. I'm heading back right now."
After giving the order, he hung up the phone and took Xerxes' private jet back to Sunset City.
He returned quickly, in less than two hours, and it wasn't even dark yet when he arrived in Sunset City.
As soon as he got off the plane, he called Valerian, "Have you found out where Chloe is?"
Valerian's voice came through the phone, "Larry, not yet. Give me a little more time."
"Hurry up." Larry took a deep breath.
Beside him, Esmeralda tugged on Larry's hand and whispered, "Larry, don't worry. She should be fine."
"Let's hope so."
Larry's expression was dark and terrifying as he said coldly, "If anything happens to her, I'll make Sirius pay with his life."
Larry knew that being anxious wouldn't help now; he had to wait patiently.
Time ticked by, minute by minute.
An hour passed in the blink of an eye.
That hour felt incredibly long to him.
At that moment, the phone rang.
He quickly answered it and couldn't help but ask, "How is it?"
"Larry, we found her. Chloe was just taken to the hospital."
"What happened?" Larry was stunned.
Taken to the hospital?
Chloe had fallen into Sirius' hands; who took her to the hospital?
"I don't know."
"Which hospital?"
"The city hospital."
Larry hung up the phone and headed straight to the city hospital.
He arrived at the city hospital quickly.
At the city hospital, outside the operating room.
A young man stood in front of the door.
He was wearing a white shirt, leaning against the wall, and when he saw Larry rushing over, he smiled faintly, "Larry, you're really slow, aren't you?"
"Sirius?"
Larry walked over, grabbed him, and said coldly, "What are you playing at?"
"Larry, what are you doing? Let go of me. I'm not playing any tricks. I just thought Chloe was very pretty, so I came to Sunset City to save her."
Larry was shaking with anger.
As the leader of the Black Dragon Army, he had been played by Sirius.
"I'm warning you, stay away from her."
Sirius smiled faintly, "Larry, you're already divorced. She's not your wife anymore. But you really are useless. You've been married and living together for so long, and she's still a virgin."
Larry took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down.
He let go of Sirius and then sat on a chair outside the operating room.
Sirius straightened his rumpled clothes, smiling faintly.
Esmeralda sat beside Larry, gently holding his hand.
Soon, Chloe was wheeled out of the operating room.
She didn't have many injuries.
Just a scar on her face that had been treated with a simple surgery.
As soon as she was wheeled out, Larry stood up and walked over, his face full of concern, "Chloe, are you okay?"
Seeing it was Larry, Chloe's face darkened, "Larry, why are you here? Where's the handsome guy who saved me?"
Chloe had been captured, and her face had been slashed.
Her eyes were covered, and she felt helpless in the darkness.
In her moment of despair and helplessness, the bandage over her eyes was removed.
She saw a handsome face.
And heard a caring voice, "It's okay now. I'm taking you to the hospital."
"Beautiful, I'm right here."
Sirius walked over, glancing at Larry, "Who is this guy? He seems very hostile towards me. I just happened to be in the suburbs and saw some people acting suspiciously, so I saved you."
"Thank you."
Chloe tried to get up, but the wound on her face hurt, and she cried out in pain.
The doctor quickly said, "The wound was just bandaged. Don't move."
Chloe stopped moving.
"Since you're okay now, I'll be leaving." Sirius turned to leave.
"Wait, handsome." Chloe called out.
Larry said coldly, "Chloe, he's the one who captured you."
"Shut up." Chloe scolded, "Larry, we have nothing to do with each other anymore. You don't need to worry about me. I don't know who captured me, but I know who saved me."
Sirius stopped and looked at Chloe with a smile, "What is it? Do you need something?"
"Can you leave your phone number? I'd like to thank you properly once I'm better."
Sirius glanced at Larry, looking troubled, "I'd love to. You're so beautiful, I'm tempted. But this guy is scary. He said he'd kill me. What if he hits me if I give you my number?"
"He wouldn't dare."
Chloe said coldly, "Larry, I'm warning you. If he loses a single hair, I won't let you off."
Sirius chuckled, "With your assurance, I'm relieved. I've already arranged for your hospital stay in a special ward, and I have some nursing training. If you don't mind, I'd like to take care of you for a few days."
Chloe's face lit up with joy, "How could I impose?"
"I don't have much to do anyway, and serving a beautiful woman is my honor."
"Thank you so much."
Larry stood aside, his eyes bloodshot with rage.
The doctor wheeled Chloe away to her room.
Sirius glanced at Larry, smiled, and whispered, "Larry, don't worry. I'll take good care of Chloe. I'll make her fall in love with me willingly, sleep with me willingly, and then I'll dump her and tell her the truth."
He laughed as he left.
Larry clenched his fists tightly.
Esmeralda noticed that Larry was on the verge of losing control and quickly pulled him back, advising, "Larry, you can't act rashly. The Bennett family's influence is too strong. Offending them won't do you any good."
Larry took a deep breath, suppressing his anger.
He followed them inside.
In the special ward, Chloe lay on the bed.
Sirius sat beside her, looking at her.
Chloe blushed and asked, "Why are you staring at me like that?"
Sirius smiled, "You're beautiful. It makes me happy to look at you."
"I'm like this now. How can I still be beautiful?" Chloe felt a bit embarrassed.
Larry walked in just in time to see this.
He said coldly, "Sirius, I've already given you what you wanted. What more do you want?"
Before Sirius could speak, Chloe said coldly, "Larry, why are you here? Get out. I don't want to see you."
"Chloe, are you an idiot?" Larry shouted angrily.
Chloe trembled with anger, pointing to the door, "Get out."
Sirius quickly comforted her, "Beautiful, don't get angry. The wound was just bandaged. If it opens up, it'll be troublesome."
