Chapter 427 Take Execution Sword
People can be driven to madness.
Especially those who desperately want to live. When faced with a life-threatening situation, they can become even more unhinged, capable of doing anything.
Alistair was one such person.
He knew he was going to die, but he wanted to live.
He led his troops to surround the Golden Sun Palace and planted bombs all around it.
Standing up, he nearly roared, "I just want to live. If anyone wants my life, I'll die, no matter the cost."
The highest official of the Summer Nation, the King of the Summer Nation, sat on the couch, unmoved.
The Shadow stood silently by his side.
The King said, "Mr. Strother has gone too far, trying to revive a plan from a hundred years ago that was never completed. No one will allow it. Now that it's been exposed and you're the executor, he won't come out to protect you. Don't be delusional."
"Fine, very well."
Alistair sneered, "In that case, let's all die together. Blow up the Golden Sun Palace, blow up Aurora Citadel, and let millions in Aurora Citadel be buried with me."
At this moment, Alistair was like a demon.
He was the Supreme Commander of the Legion of Flame Surge, which controlled powerful weapons.
Although these weapons were banned internationally and wouldn't be used lightly even in war, Alistair didn't care anymore.
He glared coldly at the King.
"Call Mr. Nelson. I want to speak with Mr. Nelson."
Even now, he hadn't given up.
"Mr. Nelson is not in Aurora Citadel."
"Impossible." Alistair roared, "Don't lie to me. I know whether he's here or not."
The King chose to ignore him, not answering Alistair's question. He glanced at his watch and murmured softly, "They should be here by now."
At that moment, a group of people walked in.
Leading them was an elderly man, looking to be in his eighties, leaning on a cane.
Behind him were four young women, around twenty years old, dressed in white gowns.
These four women looked identical.
Seeing the elderly man, Alistair's face lit up with joy, and he called out urgently, "Mr. Powell, why are you here?"
The elderly man was none other than a member of the Powell family, a highly respected elder, second only to the family head.
Even among influential figures, this elder was significant and had a voice in Aurora Citadel.
"Withdraw your troops."
The elder walked over, glanced at the King, then looked at Alistair and commanded, "Come back to the family with me."
"Yes." Alistair was overjoyed.
The family had been alerted, and now that the elder was here, he was saved.
With the Powell family stepping in, even Mr. Nelson behind the King would have to think twice before killing him.
The elder turned and left without speaking to the King.
The King also remained silent, watching the Powell family take Alistair away.
After Alistair was taken away, the King asked, "When will Larry arrive?"
The Shadow checked the time and said, "He should be here soon."
The King nodded, "The Powell family has stepped in, and things are heading in a bad direction. But this is what Mr. Nelson wanted. He wanted to draw these families in. Otherwise, he would have killed Alistair long ago, without waiting for Larry to rise."
The King stood up and stretched, "Tonight, Aurora Citadel is destined to be restless. Let's see if Larry can kill Alistair under the Powell family's protection."
The Shadow said, "The enmity between them remains, and Larry has evidence of Alistair's crimes. With Larry's character, he won't leave this threat alive."
The King nodded, "That would be for the best."
Aurora Citadel, a military division.
A helicopter landed.
The Black Dragon Army, dressed in black combat uniforms, quickly disembarked and stood in formation.
Larry and Frank also got off the helicopter.
After disembarking, Frank asked, "Dragon King, what's the plan? Do we go straight to Alistair's estate to arrest him, or?"
Larry waved his hand slightly, "First, we go to the Hall of Judgment to retrieve the Execution Sword. Alistair holds a high position as the head of the Five Great Marshals. Arresting him will cause a stir, and his network is terrifying. If we put him on trial, he might exploit legal loopholes. We take the Execution Sword, execute him first, then hold the trial."
"Got it," Frank nodded and ordered, "Move out, to the Hall of Judgment."
Military vehicles were ready.
A thousand Black Dragon Army soldiers boarded the vehicles and headed to the Hall of Judgment.
The Hall of Judgment was where high-ranking officials of the Summer Nation were tried.
Not long ago, Larry himself was tried there.
Returning to the Hall of Judgment, Larry felt a sense of déjà vu.
He stood in the Hall of Judgment, looking at the Execution Sword ahead.
Behind him was a man in his forties, the head of the Hall of Judgment, a significant figure.
Larry presented the King's secret order, and the head of the Hall of Judgment dared not refuse.
Larry walked step by step towards the Execution Sword, a sword that had been passed down for thousands of years, representing the highest punishment in the Summer Nation. He said softly, "I said I would come back for the Execution Sword one day."
He picked up the Execution Sword.
Frank said, "Congrats, Dragon King, on reclaiming the Execution Sword."
Larry's face was resolute as he commanded, "Move out, to Alistair's estate to arrest him."
Larry took the Execution Sword and left.
The head of the Hall of Judgment trembled at his words.
Arrest Alistair?
What was happening? Was Aurora Citadel about to descend into chaos?
Recalling the recent city lockdown by the Legion of Flame Surge, he couldn't help but shiver.
After retrieving the Execution Sword, Larry led his troops to Alistair's estate.
A thousand Black Dragon Army soldiers surrounded Alistair's estate, leaving no gaps.
But the Black Dragon Army found the estate empty; Alistair was not there.
In the guest hall of Alistair's estate.
Larry sat quietly.
Frank approached with his men and reported, "We've searched everywhere, but there's no sign of Alistair. The servants don't know where he is either."
Hearing this, Larry frowned.
"No one?"
At that moment, a middle-aged man in a black coat appeared.
Larry stood up, looking at the approaching Shadow.
The Shadow walked over and said, "Alistair isn't here. He's been taken back to the Powell family."
Larry frowned and asked, "The Powell family, one of the Four Ancient Families?"
The Shadow nodded, "Yes. The King's secret order to kill Alistair was leaked. Alistair found out and, half an hour ago, led troops to lock down Aurora Citadel, threatening to blow up the Golden Sun Palace. The Powell family intervened and took him away."
Larry hadn't expected the Four Ancient Families to get involved.
He looked at the Shadow and asked, "So, should we still kill him?"
The Shadow looked at Larry and asked, "What do you think?"
Larry replied firmly, "By all means, he should be killed."
"If you think he should be killed, then kill him. But Alistair is now with the Powell family, and they clearly intend to protect him. Whether you can kill him depends on your ability."
The Shadow turned to leave.
As he turned, he tossed a piece of paper.
Larry reached out to catch it, but the force behind it made him stagger back a few steps.
His expression grew serious.
"This is the Powell family's address."
The Shadow's words echoed as he slowly disappeared from Larry's sight.
"So strong." After the Shadow left, Larry couldn't help but marvel.
He opened the paper, memorized the Powell family's address, then tore it up and issued the order, "Head to the Powell family to arrest him."
