Chapter 430 Do Not Want Anyone to Break the Game
                    Alistair was dead.
Larry didn't give him a chance, using his Execution Sword to take him out on the spot.
He knew that if he captured Alistair and put him on trial, Alistair would likely escape punishment.
Because Alistair held a high position and had powerful connections.
Plus, he was a member of the Powell family.
Tonight's mission to kill Alistair faced many obstacles.
Larry hadn't expected the Powell family to be so bold, daring to obstruct his law enforcement and even attacking the Black Dragon Army. This was a serious crime.
Alistair's body was taken away.
Aurora Citadel, a military division.
The Black Dragon Army returned.
Larry personally checked the injuries of the wounded soldiers.
He found that they only had minor bruises and would recover with some rest, with no threat to their lives.
After checking the injuries, Larry didn't linger and headed straight to the Golden Sun Palace.
Golden Sun Palace.
The King hadn't slept tonight; he was waiting for good news from Larry.
Shadow stood by his side.
"Just got word, Larry killed Alistair and brought his body back."
"Oh?" The King's eyes lit up. "Alistair was under the Powell family's protection. How did Larry manage to kill him?"
Shadow shook his head. "We don't know the details yet. We'll have to wait for Larry to arrive. He should be here soon."
"Then we'll wait."
Half an hour later, Larry arrived at the Golden Sun Palace, standing before the King.
He didn't stand on ceremony and sat down directly.
The King offered him a special cigarette.
Larry took it and lit it with the lighter on the table.
The King asked, "Did everything go smoothly tonight?"
Larry replied, "The Powell family had experts protecting Alistair. If it weren't for Your Majesty's secret intervention, it would have been difficult to kill Alistair."
The King was taken aback.
His secret intervention?
He hadn't provided any help to Larry tonight.
Seeing the King's expression, Larry was also puzzled. "What? Isn't the Cabinet Room under Your Majesty's control?"
The King glanced at Shadow.
Shadow frowned and asked, "Cabinet Room? What's that?"
Larry recounted the events of the night.
The King and Shadow's expressions grew serious.
Cabinet Room?
When did Summer Nation gain such a force, capable of confronting Logan's four female bodyguards?
They were all Level 2 experts. To injure them, one must be above Level 2, and these four could even face Logan, indicating their strength surpassed Level 2.
And the person who appeared last could injure Logan.
The King and Shadow were deeply shocked.
Larry saw their expressions and realized they didn't know about the Cabinet Room. He asked, "So, it really wasn't you who sent people to help?"
The King shook his head. "I have no idea what the Cabinet Room is. I've never heard of such a force within Summer Nation or globally."
Larry was puzzled.
If it wasn't the King secretly intervening, why did the Cabinet Room assist him in killing Alistair?
The King looked at Shadow and asked, "You have extensive knowledge. Do you know anything about the Cabinet Room?"
Shadow shook his head. "Never heard of it."
Larry couldn't help but take a deep breath.
He came to see the King to learn about the Cabinet Room, but even the King didn't know.
Which side did the Cabinet Room belong to?
The King didn't dwell on it. "Alistair's dead. There's a lot to handle next. You should get some rest. Tomorrow morning, announce tonight's events and Alistair's crimes to the public. Also, the position of the Legion of Flame Surge's commander is vacant. You should take over."
Larry quickly declined. "No thanks. I don't want to be the commander of the Black Dragon Army or the Dragon King. I prefer an unrestrained, life. Once the country is truly stable, I'll retire."
The King said, "It's a great position. A lot of people are eyeing it."
"Being in that position means taking on its responsibilities. I don't have the energy for it." Larry shook his head. He genuinely didn't want the Legion of Flame Surge role.
"Alright, but be careful. You killed Alistair in front of Logan. The Powell family won't let this go," the King reminded him.
"Oh, right," Larry remembered something. "Tonight, the Powell family obstructed my law enforcement. Can I arrest them?"
The King and Shadow were stunned.
Arrest the Powell family?
After a few seconds of silence, the King laughed. "Larry, you're probably the only one in the world who dares to say that. The Powell family not holding you accountable is already a stroke of luck. Now you want to arrest them? Just hope they don't escalate things."
Larry shrugged.
The Powell family disregarded the law. He really wanted to arrest them and teach them a lesson, but since the King said so, he had to let it go.
Besides, he didn't have the power to arrest the Powell family now.
"After a busy night, I'm heading back."
Larry stood up to leave.
As he got up, he glanced at the special cigarettes on the table and picked them up, smiling. "Nice cigarettes. I'll take them."
The King laughed. "If you like them, I'll send you a few boxes."
"I'll be waiting." Larry smiled and turned to leave.
After he left, the King's expression grew serious.
"Cabinet Room, what kind of force is it? Could it be the Bennett family playing tricks?"
Shadow didn't know what the Cabinet Room was either, so he remained silent.
Soon, Mr. Nelson arrived.
The King recounted the night's events and asked, "Mr. Nelson, did you arrange the Cabinet Room?"
He shook his head. "No, I've never heard of it. It seems that besides the Four Ancient Families and some known individuals, there are others watching Aurora Citadel, trying to stir things up."
The King asked, "What's the Cabinet Room's goal?"
Mr. Nelson thought for a moment. "The Cabinet Room helped Larry kill Alistair. Larry is from the Bennett family, and Alistair was from the Powell family. Both families are part of the Four Ancient Families. If the Cabinet Room isn't from the Bennett family, then their goal is to sow discord. If they are from the Bennett family, then the Bennett family is making moves to eliminate the other three families."
The King was puzzled. "Why would the Bennett family do that?"
Shadow interjected, "Maybe it's because of the four treasure maps left by Victor Veil. It's rumored that the maps contain secrets to reaching Level 9, which is a huge temptation for the Four Ancient Families."
He took a deep breath. "Regardless, Aurora Citadel is now in turmoil. With Alistair's death, the Powell family will be the first to react. We'll see the Bennett family's stance. Greg abandoned Alistair, hoping to complicate the situation and fish in troubled waters."
The King asked, "What should we do next?"
Mr. Nelson glanced at Shadow and instructed, "Investigate the Cabinet Room's origins. Find out as much as you can. I don't want anyone secretly disrupting things."
"Understood." Shadow nodded.
