Chapter 191 Preparing in Advance
After dealing with the Everlife Group and Kelly, Larry and Frank headed over to the Legion Group.
They rolled up to the base of Legion Tower in no time.
Frank parked the car, and they both hopped out, strolling side by side towards the tower.
No security stopped them, so they made their way straight to the top floor.
As soon as the elevator doors slid open, they spotted a bunch of security guards hanging out, laughing and chatting.
The guards noticed them and immediately moved in.
One of them pointed a baton at Larry and Frank, barking, "What are you doing here? This is the chairman's private floor! Get out now."
Frank didn't waste a second, lunging forward to snatch the baton and whack the guard.
The guard let out a scream, then felt dizzy and hit the floor. The other guards rushed in, but Frank took them down in no time.
Larry and Frank headed straight for the chairman's office, busting in without a second thought.
On the office sofa, Leo was making out with a sexy secretary, both halfway out of their clothes.
The door flew open, and Leo spun around, spotting Larry and Frank. His face turned dark as he scrambled to get dressed. He glared at Larry, shouting, "Larry, what the hell are you doing? You got a death wish?"
If Larry hadn't quit, Leo wouldn't be acting so cocky.
But now, Larry was no longer Black Dragon, no longer one of the Five Great Marshals. He was just the chairman of The Serpent Group, which was small potatoes compared to Legion Lord. Leo didn't give a damn about him.
Remembering how Larry used to boss him around, Leo felt a surge of anger. He sneered, "Kneel down now, and maybe I'll let you go."
Larry sauntered over and plopped down on the sofa. The sexy secretary quickly fixed her clothes and bolted out of the office.
Larry looked at Leo with a smirk, "Leo, you think you're hot stuff now 'cause I quit?"
Leo laughed, "I'm from the Evans family of Aurora Citadel. Who the hell are you?"
He looked at Larry like he was an idiot.
"You're no longer Black Dragon, one of the Five Great Marshals, and you still have the guts to mess with Legion Lord? Don't you know you're in deep trouble? Don't you know everyone in power in Aurora Citadel wants you dead?"
"Kneel down, now." As Leo spoke, he pulled out his phone and made a call. "Get to my office, now."
He hung up and glared at Larry with pure hatred.
When Larry was Black Dragon, he always made Leo's life hell.
Now that Larry wasn't Black Dragon anymore, he still had the nerve to challenge him.
Soon, the office door swung open, and seven or eight huge guys walked in.
These dudes were built like tanks, their arms thicker than Larry's waist, ready to unleash some serious power.
Leo crossed his arms and laughed, "Larry, I heard you're pretty tough. Let's see how you get out of my office today."
Larry glanced at Frank, who got the message and stood up.
As he did, the seven or eight muscle-bound guys pulled out their guns, aiming them at Larry and Frank.
Seeing this, Frank froze, not making any sudden moves.
Leo laughed, his face full of arrogance. "No matter how tough you are, you better kneel down."
Larry smirked and said, "Or else what?" Larry's cool confidence made Leo squirm.
Leo shot back, "Or die."
Larry moved like lightning. He flicked his wrist, and a bunch of silver needles flew out.
Before the muscle-bound guys could even react, they hit the floor, totally wiped out.
Leo's face went pale. He'd heard all the stories about Black Dragon's insane skills, but he always thought they were just that—stories. Seeing Larry in action was a whole different ball game.
Larry stood up. Leo took a step back, sweat beading on his forehead.
"Leo, you got some nerve."
Leo's face changed in an instant, sensing the deadly vibe.
He forced a smile, "Larry, I was just messing with you. I've heard you're a badass, but never saw it myself. Now I have. Let me get you some tea."
He walked over, trying to play nice with Larry and Frank.
Larry sat back down, looking chill, "Leo, my wife's coming here tomorrow to cancel her contract. You better not give her any trouble, got it?"
"Sure, no problem at all." Leo nodded so fast he looked like a bobblehead.
Larry stood up. As Leo flinched, shaking in his boots, Larry just gave him a look and then walked out.
Frank was right behind him.
As soon as they left, Leo collapsed onto the sofa.
He grabbed a tissue to wipe the sweat off his forehead.
His face twisted with anger, "Larry, you think you're still hot stuff even though you're not Black Dragon anymore? Just wait, you'll be pushing up daisies in no time."
Being a big shot in the Evans family of Aurora Citadel, Leo knew the score.
The bigwigs there hated Larry's guts.
When Larry was Black Dragon, he messed with their plans and cost them big time.
Now that he wasn't Black Dragon anymore, they all wanted payback.
"Hurry up." He yelled. Someone rushed into the office.
Leo pointed at the guys on the floor, "Get them to the hospital."
Frank drove them back to Mortal Clinic.
Larry was quiet. Frank didn't say anything either.
After a long silence, Frank finally spoke up, "Larry, looks like people aren't scared of you anymore."
Larry chuckled, "I get it. When I was in charge, I pissed off a lot of people. They couldn't touch me then, but now that I've stepped down, they all want a piece of me."
Frank said, "Kelly and Leo aren't on your side anymore. Grim Reaper probably isn't either. Things are gonna get rough in Sunset City."
"Yeah." Larry sighed. When he was Black Dragon, he made a lot of enemies.
After moving to Sunset City, he ticked off a bunch of rich and powerful folks—the Four Great Families, the Prosperity Business Alliance, the Harmony Alliance Circle, and all the local gangs.
Now that he was out of the game, they all wanted revenge.
After a deep sigh, Larry gave orders,"Frank, head back to Southwild right away and bring a thousand warriors to Sunset City. Keep it on the down-low, don't draw any attention. And start making some money on the side. We need to be ready, or we're toast."
