Chapter 401 Trinity Comes to Visit

After talking all morning, Larry was completely wiped out.

He gave a small nod and said, "I'm gonna crash for a bit."

Esmeralda jumped up and said, "Larry, let me take you upstairs to rest."

With Esmeralda leading the way, Larry headed to a room on the second floor.

She left the room, gently closing the door behind her, and went back downstairs to sit on the couch. She glanced at Abigail with a teasing smile, "So, Abigail, what's the deal with you and Larry?"

Abigail rolled her eyes and said, "Cut it out, nothing is going on."

"Oh, please. It's written all over Larry's face," Esmeralda said, pouting.

Abigail sighed softly.

She hadn't given much thought to her relationship with Larry because she knew that as long as Chloe was in the picture, there was no chance for her and Larry.

Esmeralda noticed Abigail's expression and seemed to catch on. She asked, "Is Larry back with Chloe again?"

Abigail nodded slightly.

Esmeralda pouted, "Chloe might be pretty, but I don't like her. Larry treats her so well, yet she makes him miserable. If I were Larry, I'd pick you over her any day."

Abigail chuckled and said, "Alright, I see you have plenty of staff here. Do you have a chef?"

"Yeah, we do."

Esmeralda nodded.

Abigail said, "Tell the chef to whip up some food. Larry gets hungry fast and eats a lot."

"Got it."

Esmeralda immediately went to instruct the chef to start cooking.

After giving the instructions, she sat back on the couch and continued chatting with Abigail.

The Vale family's butler, Yorick, walked over and said, "Ms. Vale, there's someone at the door who's been standing there for a while. She won't say anything when I ask her."

Esmeralda frowned and asked, "Who is it?"

Yorick shook his head, "I have no idea."

"Let's go check it out."

Esmeralda stood up and headed outside.

Abigail followed her.

Outside the villa's iron gate stood a young woman.

She looked to be in her twenties, wearing a casual outfit with a short skirt, black stockings, and knee-high boots.

She had delicate features and long, dark brown hair.

The weather wasn't great today; it was drizzling.

She had been standing there for quite a while, and her hair was wet.

"It's her?" Abigail walked out and frowned when she saw the woman at the gate.

Esmeralda asked, "Abigail, who is she?"

Abigail whispered, "At the last medical conference, someone drugged Larry, and he was knocked out and taken to a hotel. This woman was also drugged, and they ended up sleeping together."

"It's her?" Esmeralda was shocked.

She knew about the incident but didn't know who the woman was. She only knew she was the daughter of some artist.

Abigail walked over and asked, "Trinity, how did you find this place?"

Trinity stood aside and said, "I saw the news. A reporter mentioned Larry got into a car and came here, so I followed."

"Are you looking for Larry?" Abigail frowned.

Trinity nodded and said, "He promised me that if he survived the battle at Southwild and returned to Sunset City, he would marry me."

Trinity had always remembered Larry's promise.

She had gone to the public trial at Aurora Citadel, but there were too many people, and she couldn't meet Larry. She knew Larry would return to Sunset City, so she came here.

Abigail looked troubled and thought for a moment before saying, "It's raining out here. Come on in."

Trinity shook her head.

Esmeralda walked over, took her hand, and said, "Come inside. Larry's not feeling well and is resting. He'll see you when he wakes up."

Trinity finally nodded.

Once inside the villa, a servant handed her a cup of hot coffee.

Trinity took it and sipped gently.

Esmeralda glanced at Abigail and pulled her aside, whispering, "Abigail, what should we do?"

Abigail shrugged, "You ask me, who should I ask? Let's wait for Larry to wake up and deal with this himself."

Abigail didn't know when Larry had promised to marry Trinity, but she didn't want to get involved in such matters.

Abigail sighed.

Larry's love life was indeed complicated. He hadn't sorted things out with Chloe, and now Trinity had appeared.

Soon, the food was ready.

Esmeralda looked at Abigail and Trinity, who were sitting silently on the couch, and asked, "Should I go get Larry?"

"Go ahead," Abigail waved her hand slightly.

Trinity became nervous.

She had imagined meeting Larry countless times, but she hadn't expected it to be under these circumstances.

She nervously twisted the hem of her clothes.

Esmeralda glanced at Trinity and then went upstairs.

"Larry, it's time to eat."

Larry woke up. He had slept for over an hour and felt much better.

"Okay." He got up, rubbed his eyes, and nodded.

He dressed and went downstairs.

As soon as he entered the living room, he froze.

He stood there, staring at Trinity, who looked lost and unsure on the couch. After a few seconds, he walked over and asked, "Why are you here?"

Trinity looked up.

Seeing Larry made her heart tremble.

At first, she didn't know Larry's identity or the cause of the incident. She hated Larry, hated the man who had taken her body.

But later, she learned about Larry's identity and the cause of the incident. Her hatred turned into love.

"I heard you were here, so I came," Trinity said, her voice sweet and melodic, with a smile that revealed two shallow dimples.

Larry sat down and lit a cigarette.

Seeing Trinity made him feel troubled.

They had been intimate, and he had promised her that if he survived Southwild, he would marry her.

Seeing Larry's troubled expression, Trinity quickly explained, "Larry, I'm not here to force you to marry me. I just wanted to know if you're doing well and to see you."

Abigail and Esmeralda watched them silently, not saying a word.

"Trinity," Larry spoke but didn't know what to say.

Trinity lowered her head and said softly, "I know you still like Chloe. I won't force you. But Larry, you're sick now. I want to stay by your side and take care of you."

Larry didn't know what to do. He looked at Abigail for help.

Abigail shrugged helplessly.

"Trinity, my situation..."

Trinity quickly said, "Larry, I know everything. I can be your mistress!"

Abigail laughed out loud, then realized her mistake and stood up, saying, "It's too stuffy inside. I'm going for a walk."

Esmeralda also stood up, saying, "I'll go tell the kitchen to serve the food."

They both left.

The living room was left with just Larry and Trinity.
