Chapter 407 Trinity in Trouble
Larry knew he was being watched, so he had to rely on Trinity to handle any outside interactions.
He was worried something might happen to her.
"Be extra careful out there," he told her.
Trinity flashed a sweet smile. "Don't worry. If they wanted to come after me, they would've done it by now. I'm just someone you hired; they have no reason to target me."
"Still, be cautious. The research institute's data was stolen, and Alistair will definitely make a move. He'll be watching me closely, and maybe even you."
"Got it. If anything happens, I'll call you. Now go, don't get in my way."
"Alright." Larry turned and walked out.
He didn't go upstairs; he stayed in the living room downstairs.
After cleaning up the kitchen, Trinity came out with the trash.
"Larry, I'm heading out."
"Go ahead, but remember, be careful."
"Don't worry, I'll be fine."
Trinity smiled sweetly and left with the trash.
After she left, Larry finally went upstairs.
Chloe was sitting in her room in front of the computer, reviewing some reports from the Everjoy Company.
Larry walked over and saw she was still busy. He reminded her, "You have Gu in your system too, don't overwork yourself."
"I know." Chloe turned and smiled at Larry.
Larry didn't say more. He walked to the bed, sat cross-legged, and began to meditate.
Trinity left the house with the trash. After disposing of it, she hailed a cab and headed to Medical Street, going to Pillar Pharmacy.
In an office at Pillar Pharmacy.
Dr. Rogers greeted her, "You're here, have a seat."
Trinity sat down and asked, "Do you have the results?"
"Yes." Matthew nodded.
His intelligence network spanned the entire country, making it easy to gather this information.
He handed a file to Trinity and said, "Everything Larry needs is in this file. Take it to him."
"Thanks."
Trinity took the file, stood up, and left the office without lingering. She bought some medicine on her way out.
She had been with Larry for a while now, and under his guidance, her counter-surveillance and anti-tracking skills had improved.
She knew she was likely being watched, so she bought some medicine to throw off any potential followers.
Outside Pillar Pharmacy, on the street.
A black sedan was parked there.
Five men were inside the car.
One of them spoke, "Yancy, we've been watching Larry, that useless guy, every day. Now we're watching this woman too. Is it really necessary?"
"The boss ordered it. What can we do? Just keep watching."
"If you ask me, we should just grab her and interrogate her. She'll spill everything. Why go through all this trouble?"
"You're right. Let's just grab her."
"Yancy, let's grab her and interrogate her. If we get any information, we'll be heroes. Plus, she's pretty good-looking. We might have some fun."
The men in the car chatted and laughed.
Yancy had been feeling frustrated lately.
While other guys were enjoying themselves at clubs, he had been stuck watching Larry with his team. He was about to lose it.
"Grab her." Yancy thought for a moment and gave the order.
At that moment, Trinity came out.
She was carrying the medicine she bought, with the file from Matthew, in the bag.
She stood by the roadside and hailed a cab.
As soon as the cab left, the black sedan followed.
When the cab left Medical Street and reached a corner, the black sedan accelerated and crashed into it.
The impact was strong, deforming the cab's rear bumper.
The cab stopped immediately, and the driver got out, walked to the black sedan, and started banging on the window, cursing, "How do you drive?!"
Several men got out of the black sedan and beat up the driver.
The driver fell to the ground, crying out in pain.
Trinity, sitting in the back seat, hit her head on the front seat, causing a cut on her forehead and some bleeding.
Trinity was disoriented for a bit before she regained her senses.
She opened the door to get out and see what was happening.
As soon as she stepped out, a man rushed over, covered her mouth, and dragged her into the black sedan.
The cab driver realized what was happening, but the black sedan had already sped away. He immediately called the police.
The black sedan quickly headed towards the outskirts.
Inside the car, Trinity's mouth was covered, and she was pinned down in the back seat. She struggled, but she didn't have the strength to break free.
Yancy took the medicine bag from her and casually looked through it.
He found the file and opened it. Seeing the contents, his face changed. He ordered, "Quick, head to the base and find the boss."
Back at the Lewis family home, Larry was meditating on the bed.
He checked the time; it was already 10 PM.
Trinity had been out for almost two hours.
Going to Medical Street to find Matthew should only take about an hour round trip, but it had been two hours, and she hadn't returned.
He frowned and immediately called Trinity.
"Sorry, the number you dialed is currently unavailable."
Her phone was off, and he couldn't reach her.
Larry had a bad feeling that something had happened to Trinity.
He hurriedly stood up.
Chloe had been organizing files for hours and finally finished. She stretched and stood up, seeing Larry rushing out. She called out, "Honey, where are you going?"
"Downstairs to check."
Larry said and went downstairs.
Once downstairs, he picked up the landline and called Free.
The call was quickly answered.
"Who is this?"
"It's me, Larry."
"Larry, we haven't found any results yet."
"I'm not asking about that. Use the military's satellite tracking system to locate Trinity's phone and see where she is."
Free was stunned and asked, "What happened? Is she in trouble?"
"Possibly, but I'm not sure yet."
"Alright, I'll check right away and call you back."
Free hung up and quickly used his privileges to track Trinity's phone number, finding her day's movements. But two hours ago, her phone signal disappeared, and the trail went cold.
Free immediately checked where Trinity's phone signal had disappeared.
He quickly learned that tonight, at that corner, someone had been kidnapped, and the police were already investigating.
With this information, he called Larry back.
"Larry, something did happen. About half an hour ago, there was a car accident at a corner outside Medical Street, and a young woman was kidnapped. The driver called the police, and the investigation shows the woman was Trinity."
Larry's face darkened instantly.
"Free, I've never asked you for anything. This time, I'm asking you to find Trinity, no matter what."
"Don't worry, I'll do my best."
Free hung up.
He then called the police, "The military is taking over the case of the kidnapped woman outside Medical Street tonight. Send all the information to the military immediately."
"Track the black sedan's whereabouts. I need to know where it is within five minutes."
"The troops are on standby, ready to act."
Free issued a series of orders.
After calling the military, Larry was still worried and called Matthew.
"Something happened. Trinity was kidnapped. Use your underground intelligence network to find out who did it and see if you can locate Trinity."
"Alright, I'll check right away."
Matthew hung up and quickly started investigating.
Larry sat on the couch, holding a cigarette, looking worried.
He couldn't do anything now, just wait anxiously.
He could guess that Alistair's people had kidnapped Trinity.
But he didn't know where they had taken her.
These people were ruthless, and he was worried about Trinity's safety.
"If anything happens to her, I won't let you off." Larry clenched his fists, veins bulging on his arms, his face dark and terrifying, exuding a chilling, murderous intent.
