Chapter 259 There Are Always People Who Don't Know Their Place
Larry finally got home. Victor and the gang had cleared out.
Chloe had slipped into a snug dress, put on some light makeup, and styled her hair just right. She was rocking a white dress with a sparkly necklace, looking super stunning.
Larry couldn't help but ask, "Babe, you heading out?"
Chloe nodded, "Yeah, Helen's taking me out for dinner. She did a lot for the Lewis Family, so I gotta thank her in person."
Larry grinned, "Mind if I tag along?"
Chloe shrugged, "Sure, if you want."
"Cool."
Without even sitting down, Larry was out the door again. They both left together, with Larry driving out of the neighborhood.
"Babe, where are we going?"
Chloe replied, "Sparkling Star Hotel."
Larry punched it into the GPS and drove there. Sparkling Star Hotel was pretty famous in Sunset City. It wasn't as fancy as Pavilion Restaurant, but it was more affordable and had better business.
At the entrance of Sparkling Star Hotel, a tall woman was waiting.
It was Helen, about six feet tall, dressed casually, giving off a youthful vibe.
Soon, Larry and Chloe showed up. Helen jogged over and grabbed Chloe's hand, "Chloe, Larry, you made it!"
Larry smiled, "Hope you don't mind."
"Not at all. I'm thrilled," Helen said with a grin.
She took Chloe's hand and led her inside, "Come on, I've got a table reserved. It's in the main hall since there were no private rooms left."
"Whatever, anywhere works for me." Larry said, shrugging.
The three of them walked into the restaurant together. A waiter led them to the table Helen had reserved.
Helen picked up the menu and handed it to Larry, "Larry, what do you want to eat?"
Larry casually passed it to Chloe, "Babe, you pick."
Chloe took it and randomly ordered a few dishes before handing it back to Helen.
After ordering, Chloe looked grateful, "Helen, thanks a lot. If it weren't for you, the Lewis Family would've lost their home."
Helen already knew about this and smiled, "It was just a small favor."
Larry sat quietly, listening to the two women chat.
Soon, the food arrived. Larry was starving and started eating like there was no tomorrow, not caring about his image.
Halfway through the meal, a few stylishly dressed guys walked in. Among them was someone Helen recognized—her suitor, Robert.
Robert had been bugging her for a while. It seemed he knew she was dining here, as he walked straight to Helen after entering the restaurant.
He had his friends sit at the table next to Helen's. Then he got up and walked over to Helen, grinning, "Helen, what a coincidence. You're eating here too."
Helen frowned, "Why do I keep running into you, Robert? Are you having me followed?"
"No way," Robert retorted, "I swear I'm not. This must be a coincidence, or fate."
"Robert, who's this beautiful lady? Aren't you going to introduce us?" One of the guys stood up, looking at Helen with a charming smile. He introduced himself, "Hey, I'm Fabian Williams. The Lirena Group is our family business."
Fabian introduced himself. Helen was unimpressed.
Robert smiled and introduced, "Fabian, this is Helen, my girlfriend."
Helen's face instantly darkened, "Who's your girlfriend?"
"Maybe not now, but you will be," Robert said, totally unfazed. "You'll be my girlfriend sooner or later."
"Isn't that Chloe?" Fabian's eyes lit up when he saw her. Chloe had become quite the celebrity in Sunset City.
She was first voted the most beautiful woman in Sunset City, then she had a so-called useless husband, and later she got engaged to Justin from the Carter Family. However, she broke off the engagement, causing serious backlash for the Lewis Family.
Fabian's gaze lingered on Chloe, checking her out from head to toe with a satisfied smirk.
"Chloe, I heard the Lewis Family went bankrupt. How about you have a few drinks with me, and I'll throw a few million dollars your way?"
His buddies couldn't help but laugh.
"Fabian, Chloe isn't worth a few million now. Maybe a few hundred bucks tops."
"Even if she sleeps with you, it wouldn't cost much."
"Chloe, I'll give you thirty grand to spend the night with me. How about it?"
Chloe's face darkened. Helen glared at Robert and his crew, "Get lost."
Larry put down his utensils, wiped his mouth with a napkin, and stood up calmly.
"Babe, what are you doing?" Chloe quickly grabbed his arm, "Just ignore them. Don't hit anyone."
Chloe knew Larry's temper. He'd been in quite a few fights recently, causing a lot of trouble for the Lewis Family.
Larry stood up, looked at them, and walked over. He grabbed Robert by the collar, lifted him, and tossed him several feet away. Robert hit the ground with a painful scream.
Next, he grabbed Fabian's hair and slammed his head against the wall, leaving Fabian's head bleeding and dizzy.
After dropping Fabian, he kicked him. The other guys were all kicked away too.
In an instant, they were all down. Larry clapped his hands, sat back down, and smiled at the stern-faced Chloe, "It's much quieter now."
"Larry, what are you doing? I told you not to cause trouble," Chloe said, a bit angry.
These guys all had status, especially Fabian, who was Tom's son. Tom's Lirena Group was second only to Legion Lord, the Everlife Group, and other major players in Sunset City.
At that moment, the restaurant's security guards rushed over. Then a cold voice echoed, "Who's causing trouble at Sparkling Star Hotel?"
As the security guards arrived, a man in a suit walked over. Robert, Fabian, and the others had already gotten up.
Fabian clutched his bleeding head, his hands covered in blood. With a grimace of rage, he shouted, "Mr. Blaze, break his legs for me."
Sparkling Star Hotel's manager, Daxton Blaze, immediately ordered, "Get him."
A dozen security guards, armed with electric batons, rushed at Larry.
Larry slammed the table, using it to propel himself, and instantly jumped out. The first two guards who rushed at him were kicked to the ground, screaming in pain.
Then he quickly made his move. These security guards were no match for him.
In less than a minute, a dozen security guards were lying on the ground, groaning.
Larry was helpless. He just wanted to have a meal, but so many people kept bothering Chloe.
"Larry, you useless piece of trash, you're finished," Fabian cursed viciously, holding some napkins to his bleeding head and pointing at Larry.
