Chapter 448 Pseudo Five Realms
At first, Cody had no clue how Larry was healing himself.
But being a tough fighter and a doctor, he started to piece it together.
Healing was just a front; the real aim was to open up special meridians in the body.
Larry was using him, sticking silver needles into his meridians and acupoints. The needles were protecting his heart.
No matter what his body went through, he wouldn't die.
And given the state his body was in, it couldn't get much worse.

The silver needles couldn't hold on any longer and started to shoot out.
Paisley was ready with a handful of silver needles, quickly replacing the ones that were dislodged.
But the force from the acupoints was so strong that it made her arms go numb.
After replacing a few needles, her hands were injured by Cody's Qi.
"Break through!"
Cody shouted, using all his strength.
All his Qi surged into Larry's body.
Boom!
It sounded like an explosion inside Larry.
Cody was thrown back.
All the silver needles on Larry's body were instantly ejected.
Paisley dodged just in time.
But she was still slightly injured by the flying needles.
Larry collapsed onto the bed.
Cody, drenched in sweat, wiped his face and looked at the unconscious Larry with a satisfied smile. "This kid has guts, coming up with such a method."
"Grandpa, how is he?"
Paisley, ignoring her own injuries, looked at the blood-covered Larry and couldn't help but ask, "Grandpa, how is he?"
Cody stroked his white beard and smiled, "He did it. Theoretically, he's now at the fifth level."
"Really?" Paisley was shocked. "Does that mean we can continuously create fifth-level masters?"
Cody, looking weak, shook his head. "It's not that easy. Larry's meridians were already damaged, and he was on the brink of death. He used silver needles to protect his heart and took a huge risk. Anyone else wouldn't be able to endure the pain. Plus, to break through all the meridians, you need Qi above the fifth level. This Qi infusion would instantly rupture all the meridians. "Larry, you're still smiling. Do you know how dangerous that was?"
"What's the danger?" Larry weakly smiled. "My body was already in bad shape. No matter what, it couldn't kill me. Plus, I protected my heart. Even if I failed, I wouldn't die. Luckily, it worked."
"Yes." Paisley nodded. "Grandpa said your meridians are now open. Theoretically, you're at the fifth level. The only difference between you and a fifth-level master is the amount of Qi. But now that your meridians are open, your Qi will increase rapidly, and you'll soon reach the fifth level."
"Enough, stop talking. I can't hold on any longer. Quickly, use the needles. If you don't, I'll die soon."
