Chapter 460 Trinity is Missing

Chloe really didn't want to let Larry go.

Larry had always been so good to her, but she hadn't appreciated it until it was too late.

She didn't blame Larry; she blamed herself. This was all her own doing.

Now, she was trying hard to make him stay.

Larry was silent.

Facing Chloe's plea, he really wanted to stay, but he had promised Trinity, and he couldn't break his word.

"Since you know everything, you should know about Trinity."

"Yeah, I know."

Chloe let go of Larry and said, "You should go."

Larry didn't say anything more and turned to leave.

Chloe's face showed sadness and helplessness, but also determination. Watching Larry leave, she whispered softly, "I won't give up. Even if I have to chase you to the ends of the earth, I will get you back."

A strong sense of resolve rose in Chloe's heart.

She believed that as long as she worked hard and became excellent enough, she would eventually win Larry back.

Larry walked down the stairs.

Everyone's eyes were on him.

He didn't say anything more and turned to leave.

After he left, the Lewis family and the Martin family began to discuss quietly.

Not long after, Chloe came downstairs.

Victor asked, "Chloe, what's going on? Why did you let him go?"

Chloe said softly, "Let him go, but I will get him back sooner or later."

After leaving the Lewis Villa, Larry couldn't help but turn around and look at the brightly lit mansion.

He hadn't spent much time with the Lewis family or with Chloe, just a few months, but Chloe had already left a deep impression on his mind. Even though they were apart, he still thought about her and missed her.

Fate was playing tricks on him.

Maybe all of this was his own doing.

So much had happened.

Between love and responsibility, he chose the latter.

When you make a mistake, you have to take responsibility.

Besides, Trinity was also a very nice and kind girl.

"Chloe, I'm sorry."

Larry stood outside the Lewis Villa, looking at the brightly lit mansion, his face full of guilt. "I'm not a good husband. I didn't fulfill my duties. I had no choice but to let you down."

Larry stood at the door for several minutes before turning to leave.

Chloe had no interest in attending any birthday party.

She returned to her room, stood on the balcony, and stared at the night sky outside.

Larry left the Lewis Villa and went straight to Esmeralda's house. When he arrived, Abigail was already there.

"Larry, why are you back?" As soon as he walked in, Trinity asked.

Even Paisley and Abigail looked at Larry with puzzled expressions.

They all thought Larry would stay at the Lewis Villa, but they didn't expect him to come back so soon.

Larry said, "I divorced Chloe a long time ago. After thinking it over, staying at the Lewis Villa isn't appropriate. Esmeralda, can I stay here for a while? Do you mind?"

Esmeralda, wrapped in a blanket and shivering from the cold, said through chattering teeth, "Stay, stay as long as you want. There are plenty of empty rooms on the second floor."

"Okay, I'll go upstairs to read." Larry went upstairs.

Esmeralda said, "Trinity, you, you take Larry upstairs."

Trinity nodded immediately and walked over, saying, "Larry, let me show you the way."

Larry didn't refuse.

Trinity led Larry to the second floor, opened a door, and said, "Larry, you can stay in this room. The sheets are new."

"Alright." Larry nodded.

He walked in.

Seeing Trinity follow him in, looking like she wanted to say something but hesitated, he couldn't help but ask, "Do you have something to say?"

Trinity felt a bit embarrassed, her face slightly red. "Larry, you and Chloe..."

She paused, then mustered the courage to ask, "Did you come back because of me? I told you, I won't force you, and I sincerely wish you and Chloe the best. I hope you two can be happy."

"There's nothing like that. Don't overthink it. You should go now; I need to read."

"Oh." Trinity responded softly and then left.

Downstairs.

The women were sitting together.

Seeing Trinity come down, Abigail asked curiously, "Did you ask Larry why he didn't stay at the Lewis Villa?"

Trinity looked at her and asked, "Abigail, should I not have come to Sunset City? Is my presence making things difficult for Larry? If that's the case, I'll leave tomorrow."

"Leave? No way."

Abigail frowned and scolded, "Larry and Chloe's issues have nothing to do with you. They had no emotional foundation. Their divorce was inevitable. Even without you, they would have divorced."

"But my presence has caused trouble for Larry, made things difficult for him," Trinity said tearfully. "I didn't want this. I didn't want to come looking for him, but I couldn't control myself."

"If you like him, go after him. Love between a man and a woman is normal. Be bold," Abigail teased with a smile.

Esmeralda, wrapped in a blanket, couldn't help but add, "Abigail, you like him too, but you haven't been very proactive."

"Me?" Abigail smiled bitterly. "Larry rejected me a long time ago. There's no chance for us."

Listening to their conversation, Paisley became interested and said with a smile, "I haven't interacted much with Larry, but I can tell he's a complex person. He doesn't want to hurt Chloe, doesn't want to let Trinity down, and doesn't want to disappoint Abigail. Maybe he cares too much about the people around him, which is why he's in such a difficult position. But give him some time, and he should be able to figure out who he wants to spend his life with."

Downstairs, they were discussing who Larry really liked.

Meanwhile, Larry locked himself in his room, sitting cross-legged on the bed, starting to meditate.

He relaxed his mind and body, not thinking about complicated issues.

After calming down, he took out the second volume of the medical book.

He opened it and began to read seriously.

The second volume mainly recorded how to use the Against Heaven 81 Needles. Larry was just beginning to understand it.

He read carefully, the ancient characters transforming into modern text in his mind.

In his mind, he visualized a small figure, marked with many meridian points, covered with silver needles.

He continuously tried to understand and comprehend.

He wanted to figure out how to guide the Qi from someone else's body into his own and absorb it without harming himself.

That night, he didn't even eat dinner.

He was engrossed in reading.

The night passed quietly.

The next morning.

Larry put down the thick medical book, took a deep breath, and murmured, "After a whole night of research, I finally found a way. I just don't know if it will work."

Larry had spent the night figuring out how to draw the cold from Esmeralda's body into his own and absorb it.

However, there was a prerequisite.

He had to cultivate Qi again.

And this was just a theoretical method. Whether it would work needed to be tested.

"Knock, knock, knock."

There was a hurried knock on the door.

Larry got up, walked over, and opened the door.

Abigail, wearing a nightgown and with messy hair, stood at the door, looking anxious. "Trinity is missing."
