Chapter 232 Abigail's Accident

Xavier thought it was Chloe, but nope, it was Larry.

“Larry, what the heck are you doing here?”

Xavier was caught off guard but quickly played it cool and let Larry in.

Larry strolled in. Xavier hollered, “Elodie, whip up some coffee, Larry’s here.”

Elodie jumped up, glanced at the door, and her face shifted when she saw Larry. This dude was the big boss of the Epoch Group, a freaking billionaire. She couldn’t mess this up.

“Larry, take a seat.” She said, heading off to make the coffee.

Xavier stood there, grinning. “Larry, I messed up last time. Shouldn’t have caused you trouble at the Epoch Group. Can you give me another shot?”

Larry waved it off. “I didn’t care about that.”

Xavier lit up, “Thanks for forgiving me, Chairman.”

Elodie came back with the coffee. With Larry’s forgiveness, she felt a bit better and handed him the coffee with both hands, “Larry, here’s your coffee.”

Larry pointed to the table, and Elodie set the coffee down.

Xavier signaled to Elodie that Larry wasn’t here for him. If not him, then it had to be for Elodie.

Even though Elodie was a manager and around thirty, she was still drop-dead gorgeous and sexy.

“Larry, I’ll step out for a bit.” Xavier turned to leave.

Elodie got the hint, swaying her hips as she moved towards Larry, about to sit on his lap.

Larry kicked her away. She hit the ground with a yelp.

Xavier was stunned. Larry wasn’t here for Elodie? Or maybe Larry was into some weird stuff, like torturing people?

Thinking this, Xavier smirked and started heading for the door again.

“Did I say you could leave?” Larry’s voice was ice-cold.

“What’s up?” Xavier stopped.

Turning to Larry, he said, “Larry, I won’t get in your way with Elodie. Don’t worry, I won’t spill a word about this. From now on, Elodie’s your girl.”

Larry laughed. So Xavier thought he was here for Elodie.

Elodie got up, biting her lip with a shy look, “From now on, I’m your girl.”

Larry frowned, “What nonsense. Xavier, I’m here for you, not Elodie. I’m here to settle a score with you!”

He slammed the table. Xavier’s heart skipped a beat, “Larry, what’s wrong?”

“What’s wrong?” Larry’s voice was cold, “Xavier, you actually have the nerve to like my wife?”

Xavier was confused, then it hit him.

“Chloe?”

“Yeah.” Larry stood up, grabbed Xavier by the collar, and lifted him, “Chloe’s my wife. You’ve got some nerve bothering her. And you keep threatening her? You got a death wish?”

Elodie finally got why Larry was there. She dropped to her knees.

“Larry, it’s not Xavier’s fault. It was all my idea. If you want to punish someone, punish me.”

Larry tossed Xavier to the ground. The impact hurt like hell, but Xavier didn’t dare make a sound.

Looking at Elodie on the ground, Larry kicked her, “Don’t think I won’t hit you just because you’re a woman.”

Elodie hit the ground again but stayed silent.

Xavier also knelt, begging, “Larry, my bad. Please forgive me.”

Larry wanted to kill Xavier, but he’d promised Chloe he wouldn’t hit anyone.

He took a deep breath and said, "Go apologize to Chloe yourself. And yeah, you better be on your knees while doing it. If she forgives you, we’re cool. If not, well, get ready to be fish food."

With that, Larry turned and walked out. As soon as he was gone, Xavier and Elodie clung to each other, crying.

"Elodie, I’m screwed."

Elodie was shaking from Larry’s threat, urgently saying, "Go apologize now. Beg for Chloe’s forgiveness, or we’re both dead."

Being in the entertainment biz, she knew how powerful these big shots were. Making people disappear was a piece of cake for them.

Xavier was too scared to move.

Larry got back to the room. Chloe stood up right away, asking, "Honey, how did it go? You didn’t hit anyone, did you?"

Larry grinned, "Do I look like a thug? I just had a chat with Xavier. Told him he should be a good role model as a public figure. He knows he messed up and will come to apologize to you."

Chloe let out a sigh of relief. She was just worried Larry might have gotten physical.

Lately, Larry had ticked off quite a few people. But right then, there was a ruckus outside.

"What’s all that noise?" Chloe frowned, pulling Larry, "Let’s go check it out."

As soon as they stepped out, they saw a woman in a bikini running like crazy. Chloe grabbed her and asked, "Callista, what’s going on?"

Callista said, "I need a first aid kit. Abigail’s hurt."

Chloe’s face changed, and she quickly pulled Larry downstairs.

Hotel lobby, first floor.

A crowd had gathered. All of them were women in bikinis, fresh out of the hot springs.

And on a table lay a scantily clad beauty with an amazing figure and long legs, but her face was twisted in pain.

"Make way. The doctor’s here."

A group of men walked over. The women immediately stepped aside. These guys were from Class One.

Leading the pack was a dude in his thirties, wearing only shorts and showing off his ripped torso. His body was chiseled, flaunting eight-pack abs and impressive muscles.

"Who’s that? He’s so ripped."

"I’m totally into him. That body is to die for."

Many women with dreamy eyes couldn’t help but gush.

The men from Class One were feeling pretty smug, especially the ones with the guy.

One of them puffed out his chest and said, "He’s from our class, Orion Thorne, a student of Octavius."

Another chimed in, "Octavius was a top-three finisher in last year’s Sunset City Medical Conference but lost to Dr. Rogers. Octavius is a medical whiz, second only to Dr. Rogers."

Class One was beaming with pride. At this reunion, Class One was usually pretty average, with hardly any rich folks. They were often overshadowed by Class Two.

Now, knowing Orion’s identity, Class One felt super proud.

Orion walked up to the table, eyeing the sexy and alluring Abigail lying there, and couldn’t help but swallow, a greedy look in his eyes.

"Can he handle it? We should take her to the hospital. It might not be too late."

"It’s over two hours to the city hospital from here. She’d be dead by then."

Many people murmured.

"With Octavius’s student here, it should be fine."

Orion waved his hand slightly, signaling everyone to hush.

Everyone quieted down, and he said, "Don’t worry, it’s just a snake bite. Leave it to me."
