Chapter 116 Deception
Larry's voice boomed. His shout silenced the restless crowd at the entrance of Everjoy Clinic.
Larry pointed at a man with a swollen face, named Mike. "You, come over. Sit down and let me take a look."
Mike walked over, sat in front of Larry, and cursed, "Today, you have to compensate me whatsoever. Do you know what I do? I'm a manager at a big company, earning ten grand a month. I've missed several days of work because of this and got fired. If you don't give me a few thousand dollars, this won't end."
Larry glanced at Mike. His gaze was terrifying, and Mike instantly lost his confidence but still muttered, "A thousand dollars would be fine, too."
"Stretch out your hand," said Larry.
Mike stretched out his hand, and Larry examined it.
"Due to a skin allergy, you came to Everjoy Clinic to get medicine. But it's not Everjoy Clinic's fault." Larry slapped the table and angrily said, "You know what you ate, and you still want to blame Everjoy Clinic?"
"Yes, I have a bit of an allergy, but after I took your medicine, it got worse. Look at my face. It's like I got stung by a poisonous bee."
"I'll write you a prescription. Go home and take the medicine. If it's still swollen tomorrow, come back."
Larry picked up a pen and paper, wrote a prescription, and casually threw it to Mike, saying, "If you don't trust Everjoy Clinic, take the prescription somewhere else. Next."
Mike stared at the prescription, dumbfounded. He came for compensation. Now he was just given a prescription and told to leave.
Larry scolded, "What are you doing there? Get out of here. I got other patients."
"Fine, I'll get the medicine. If it's still swollen tomorrow, I'll sue you."
Mike left a harsh word and turned to leave.
As soon as Mike left, another man named Tony came over aggressively and quickly sat down. "I bought medicine from Everjoy Clinic, and after taking it..."
"No need to say more. I'll take a look." Larry glared at Tony and shouted.
Tony was scared and didn't say another word.
Larry examined Tony. After a few seconds, Larry laughed coldly, "Diarrhea, right? It's common to have diarrhea when you have a bad stomach. You can't blame our medicine for that. Fine, I'll give you a free prescription, go get the medicine somewhere else. If it doesn't work, come back to me."
Tony was also stunned. He hadn't even said what his illness was or what medicine he took, but Larry diagnosed it in just a few seconds.
"Is it that miraculous?" Tony looked at Larry in doubt.
Larry quickly wrote a prescription and then threw it to Tony. "Take it and get out. Next."
Tony was bewildered.
Before Tony could react, a healthy-looking man named Ralph came over and immediately sat in front of Larry, extending his hand.
Larry examined Ralph. Then, he stood up and kicked Ralph. "You're here to cause trouble, right? You haven't taken any medicine in the past week, and you're not sick. If you come to mess around again, I'll deal with you."
Ralph was kicked several feet away.
Actually, Ralph was a reporter.
Now, outside Everjoy Clinic, there were quite a few reporters. Seeing Larry diagnosing illnesses without asking questions, these reporters were a bit skeptical, so they sent someone to test him.
Unexpectedly, Larry really diagnosed it. He even knew Ralph hadn't taken any medicine. This scene caused quite a bit of laughter.
"Who is this guy? He seems pretty impressive."
"I know him. He's Larry, the son-in-law of the Lewis Family, Chloe's husband. You know Chloe, right? She used to be the ugliest woman in Sunset City, and I heard it was Larry who cured her, making her the most beautiful woman in Sunset City."
"Wow, is he really that good?"
"Looks like it."
"Then he's a real miracle doctor, even better than Dr. Rogers."
The crowd buzzed with chatter.
Especially after hearing that Larry cured Chloe, everyone was shocked.
Larry kept dealing with the troublemakers.
A woman in her fifties named Nancy came over. She was wearing a hat, and as soon as she sat down, she took it off.
Nancy made a fierce expression and roared, "Look at me. I just had a headache, and after I took your medicine, most of my hair fell out."
"Quiet down," Larry shouted.
To control these people, his voice had to be louder than theirs. Sure enough, with his shout, Nancy quieted down. "Let me see your head."
Nancy extended her head.
Then Larry said, "This is an chronic problem. You've had headaches for over ten years, and insomnia, especially recently. This has caused natural hair loss. It's not Everjoy Clinic's fault. I'll give you a free prescription. Go get the medicine. I guarantee that after a few courses, your headaches and insomnia will improve. If it doesn't work, you can come back and smash Everjoy Clinic."
"Amazing," Nancy exclaimed.
Turning to the crowd outside, even the cameras, Nancy excitedly shouted, "This is a real miracle doctor."
Seeing this, many people were skeptical.
"Could this be a show put on by Everjoy Clinic to deceive everyone?"
"I think so. Probably actors hired by Everjoy Clinic."
"Even Dr. Rogers isn't this good. Can Larry really be this good?"
"Yeah, this is being broadcasted live on TV. No amount of advertising money could buy this kind of publicity."
Many people were skeptical about today's events.
They all thought it was a show put on by Everjoy Clinic to deceive everyone.
Recently, Everjoy Company changed its chairman and was expanding its business. So, they all suspected that Everjoy Clinic wanted to take this opportunity to promote itself.
Inside Everjoy Clinic's lobby, many members of the Lewis Family were gathered there.
As the situation outside gradually stabilized, the Lewis Family members dared to come out, and all their eyes were on Larry, who was seriously writing prescriptions.
Oscar whispered, "Is Larry really a miracle doctor?"
"Of course," Maria said proudly. "Who do you think cured Chloe's ten-year-old scars? It was Larry, and he did it twice. He's a real miracle doctor."
Sam also straightened his back. "And he's my brother-in-law is. Larry's medical skills, I'm not bragging, but even Dr. Rogers can't compete."
With Larry solving the trouble, Maria, Sam, and others were all proud, as if they were the ones who solved the problem.
"Please, don't mess with me. You've been masturbating too much, your body is weak, you've fainted a few times, and you're feeling weak all over. Plus, you've been having random sex outside and caught an STD, causing bumps on your body. This has nothing to do with Everjoy Clinic's medicine. I'll give you a free prescription."Larry said.
A fat man was about to extort some money, but hearing Larry's words, he felt very ashamed. Before he got sick, he did go to a prostitute.
And around him, there was a burst of laughter.
After writing a prescription, Larry said, "Next."
Larry continued treating the troublemakers.
Most of these people had similar symptoms, with red and swollen skin, showing allergic reactions. This was caused by taking inferior medicine.
But Larry tried to get rid of the responsibility, convincing these people so that they stopped causing trouble.
