Chapter 413 Intense Battle

Alden and the Eight Heavenly Dragons had once infiltrated the research base, aware of the projects being conducted there, and had even stolen some research data.

They knew the base might have bio-engineered undead warriors, but they had never seen them.

Now, seeing these terrifying humanoid monsters, they realized these were the results of the experiments, the undead warriors.

Over thirty undead warriors charged at them, their immense strength causing the ground to tremble with each step.

"Open fire!" Larry shouted.

The team opened fire simultaneously.

Machine guns roared, bullets flying towards the charging undead warriors, but they seemed unaffected.

The bullets did not cause any real damage.

Seeing this, everyone's expressions changed.

Larry frowned, his face serious.

He hadn't expected Alistair to use the Gu virus to create such powerful beings, making them impervious to bullets.

"Fall back!" Larry ordered quickly.

But he had no intention of leaving.

Lyra grabbed his arm urgently, "Larry, we gotta go together. These are undead warriors; we can't kill them. Fighting them is a losing battle."

Larry couldn't leave.

Trinity was still missing; he couldn't just walk away.

He turned to Alden, instructing, "Alden, get everyone out safely."

Alden looked at Larry, frowning, "What about you?"

"I'll be fine. I need to deal with these so-called undead warriors."

Larry said, already charging forward.

He moved swiftly, confronting one of the bio-engineered warriors. The creature raised its massive arm, fist clenched, and swung at Larry with terrifying force.

The punch came with a gust of wind, the air pressure creating a whistling sound.

Larry gathered his strength, channeling it into his fist, and raised his hand to block.

Their fists collided.

Larry was pushed back ten feet, his arm numb from the impact.

The undead warrior quickly advanced.

"What incredible strength," Larry muttered, taking a deep breath.

He had been weakened by the Gu virus, but through meditation, he had cultivated Qi.

Though he hadn't expelled the Gu from his body, it no longer affected him.

That punch had all his strength, enough to punch through a wall, yet it didn't harm the undead warrior.

"Larry, retreat now, or it'll be too late," Lyra's voice called from a distance.

But Larry charged again.

He was soon surrounded by dozens of undead warriors. These mutated beings were tall, strong, and surprisingly fast. Surrounded, Larry couldn't fend them off, quickly getting beaten and coughing up blood.

Another punch came at him.

He raised his hand to block.

The undead warrior's strength was overwhelming, knocking him to the ground.

As he fell, a foot came down to stomp on him.

He rolled to the side, dodging the stomp.

"Go!" Alden ordered, seeing Larry struggling.

The Eight Heavenly Dragons dropped their weapons and charged barehanded.

They knew guns were useless against the undead warriors; only their own strength might defeat them.

With nine people joining the fight, Larry's burden lightened.

But the undead warriors were too strong. The nine were no match, getting injured quickly.

In the base's office, Dr. C and Alistair watched the battle through surveillance.

Alistair was shocked, "No way, Larry was weakened by the Gu. How does he still have such strength?"

Larry's display of power stunned Alistair.

Dr. C smiled, "Alistair, don't worry. Even if he's regained his strength, he's no match for our undead warriors. Look, they're already struggling. These people are strong, but not strong enough."

Seeing the undead warriors' power, Alistair relaxed.

No matter how Larry regained his strength, he would die today.

In the base, the fierce battle continued.

Phantomface and Dance were injured.

Dance was knocked to the ground.

An undead warrior reached for her head, ready to crush it.

Larry saw this, leaping up, stepping on two undead warriors' heads, and kicking the one attacking Dance.

Larry's kick, infused with Qi, knocked the undead warrior back, but it quickly got up again.

Larry pulled Dance up.

She wiped the blood from her mouth, grateful, "Thanks, Larry."

Larry shouted, "Alden, what are you doing? Get everyone out of here. Do you want us all to die?"

His voice thundered.

From the first clash, he knew how dangerous the undead warriors were. Continuing the fight would mean their deaths.

After shouting, he pushed Dance away, "Go now."

Alden, also injured, knew they would die if they continued. He ordered, "Retreat."

Everyone dodged and ran towards the exit.

The undead warriors pursued.

Larry blocked them, buying time for the others.

"Find Free, get reinforcements, and blow up this base. We can't let these monsters escape," Larry shouted.

"Larry, what about you?" Dance called.

Larry didn't respond.

He leaped, silver needles appearing in his hand, which he threw at the undead warriors.

The needles, more powerful than bullets, pierced the undead warriors.

But their bodies had changed; the needles did no real damage and didn't slow them down.

"Go," Alden ordered.

"But Larry hasn't retreated," everyone worried.

Alden said, "He's cultivated Qi and is a martial arts grandmaster. Even if he can't win, he can escape. We need to leave and find Free."

"Yes," they nodded, quickly leaving.

In the office, Alistair saw Alden and the others escaping and ordered, "Dr. C, they're getting away. Don't let any of them escape."

Dr. C smiled, "Don't worry, none will escape."

He took out a black container.

Inside was a black insect with many legs, resembling a centipede.

Alistair asked, "Is this the King Worm?"

Dr. C smiled, "Yes, this is the King Worm. It will command the undead warriors."
