Chapter 507 Rescue Plan
Paisley was still waiting at the airport.
She had called Chloe ahead of time to tell her about Larry being captured by the Rivera family.
She held nothing back, starting from when Larry went to White Mountain, even honestly telling her about how Megan had framed her.
After Chloe learned what had happened, her face turned serious.
"I'm waiting for my flight. I'll get to Sunset City soon. Once I'm there, we'll figure out how to rescue him."
Chloe hung up the phone.
She sat on the ground, lost in thought.
She had already heard from Free about the Rivera family's arranged marriage with the Bennett family, and she knew the Rivera family was powerful—so powerful that even the Bennett family was wary of them.
After a moment, she took out her phone and tried calling Richard, but the call wouldn't go through.
Chloe frowned.
Then she remembered—last time they talked, Richard had told her not to call again, and this number wouldn't work anymore.
"What do I do?"
She was extremely anxious.
She stood up and left the military base without even telling her instructor, heading to Esmeralda's house to wait for Paisley's return.
Paisley arrived quickly.
A few hours later, she showed up at Esmeralda's house.
As soon as she walked in, Chloe grabbed her and said, "You're supposed to be so smart—how could you be so careless and let someone frame you like that?"
A hint of helplessness crossed Paisley's face. "I really was too careless."
"So what do we do now?" Chloe was so anxious that tears were about to fall.
"Chloe, don't worry too much. Nothing's happened yet. Let's sit down and talk this through calmly," Esmeralda said.
Chloe had been at Esmeralda's house for several hours and had already told her about Larry's situation.
Only then did Chloe sit down.
Paisley sat across from her.
"Chloe, here's what I'm thinking. We gather the strong fighters from the Cabinet Room and go together to the Rivera family in the Western Territory. I'll go first and take all the responsibility. Paisley laid out her plan.

If this didn't work, they'd just have to fight the Rivera family head-on.
She just didn't know how strong the Cabinet Room actually was.
"That won't work," Chloe immediately objected.
Even though she didn't like Paisley, if they rescued Larry and he found out Paisley had died, he would definitely blame her.
Paisley said, "Grandpa won't step in to protect Larry, and all the other forces would love to see Larry dead. This is the only way now. I just don't know exactly how strong the Cabinet Room is."
Chloe said seriously, "Besides Grandpa who died, the Cabinet Room has no top-tier fighters. There are just four guardians at the fourth realm, ten elders at the third realm, and the others at the second and first realms don't really count."
Paisley was shocked.
She knew the Cabinet Room was strong, but she hadn't expected this.
Four at the fourth realm, ten at the third realm—that was enough to sweep away anything.
"How many at the second and first realms?" she couldn't help asking.
Chloe said, "Thirty-six at the second realm, seventy-two at the first realm."
With Larry's life in danger, Chloe didn't hold back. She told Paisley the Cabinet Room's full strength in detail, because she knew she wasn't as good at planning as Paisley.
Her mind was a mess right now, and she didn't know what to do. To save Larry, she had to count on Paisley.
"Whew!"
Paisley took a deep breath. "That's enough. That's plenty."
Although she didn't know exactly how strong the Rivera family was, from her grandfather's wariness she could guess they were at least as strong as the Bennett family.
And the Rivera family had someone comparable to her grandfather Cody.
"But you said even Cody is wary of the Rivera family. Cody is at least at the seventh realm. If the Rivera family's strong fighters make a move, fourth-realm martial artists won't stand a chance," Chloe said, looking troubled.
Paisley fell into thought too.
Esmeralda just sat to the side watching them, not saying anything.
No one spoke in the living room.
The atmosphere grew strange.
After several minutes, Paisley looked at Chloe and asked, "By the way, are you familiar with using Qi now?"
Chloe said, "Yeah, I'm much better at it."
Paisley said, "I have an idea."
"Tell me," Chloe looked at Paisley. Even though she didn't like her, for Larry's sake, she had no choice but to work with Paisley.
Paisley thought it over. "Here's what I'm thinking. You pretend to be my grandfather Cody and take the Cabinet Room's fighters to the Western Territory. You don't need to actually fight, just show up. That might be enough to intimidate the Rivera family."
Paisley laid out her plan.
Which was for Chloe to impersonate Cody.
"Will that work?" Chloe looked hesitant. She wasn't afraid, she was just worried the plan wouldn't work.
Paisley's expression was serious too. "We don't have any better options right now. If the Rivera family decides to completely break with the Bennett family and their strong fighters attack forcefully, the plan will fail and the Cabinet Room might be completely wiped out. But as long as the Rivera family still has some fear of the Bennett family, we can rescue him. And..."

"But then you'll definitely die, won't you?" Esmeralda couldn't help asking. "Paisley, isn't there any other way?"
Paisley shook her head.
Countless people in the world wanted Larry dead. Now that the Rivera family had captured Larry, she really couldn't find any strong fighters to go rescue him from the Rivera family.
This was the only way.
Though risky.
But she thought the chances of success were high.
Chloe couldn't help taking another look at Paisley. "You're really willing to risk your life for Larry?"
Paisley shook her head slightly. "It's not really for Larry. This all started because of me. If I hadn't gone to White Mountain, Megan wouldn't have framed me, and Larry wouldn't have been dragged into this. If my death can resolve the conflict between the Rivera family and the Bennett family, then I'm willing."
Paisley's fearless spirit impressed Chloe.
But she felt that if Larry were here, he definitely wouldn't want Paisley taking such a risk.
"There's really no other way?" Chloe asked with a frown.
"No. We don't have much time. Before we go, I need to tell you about Grandpa's habits and the techniques he practices. Grandpa practices the Heavenly Thirteen Swords.
