Chapter 111 The Trial

The sky was buzzing with a hundred fighter jets circling overhead.

On the ground, hundreds of tanks, armored vehicles, and thousands of military trucks were rolling in a grand procession.

As the tanks got closer, the ground seemed to shake.

Seeing this, the folks from the Four Great Families, Lord Davis, and Nine-Fingered started to freak out.

"What’s going on?"

"Why is there an army heading this way?"

"What happened?"

Everyone was stunned.

"It must be a drill."

"Yeah, it has to be a drill. Spread the word, don’t do anything stupid. We’re here to kill the heads of the families. As long as we stay cool, the drill troops won’t bother us."

"Hurry, ditch all the weapons."

Gang members quickly tossed their weapons aside.

Those with guns hid them away. They didn't rush to deal with Larry now and just waited for the drill troops to pass.

Roxanne was scared out of her mind. She never thought Larry would actually called in the military to deal with the Four Great Families and some gang members.

"Boss, there are tanks and armored vehicles everywhere, and look at the sky, the fighter jets have stopped. There must be over a hundred of them. My God, what is going on?"

"Could they be coming for us?"

Nine-Fingered slapped the guy who spoke and snapped, "Coming for you? Don’t flatter yourself. You’re just a small fry, not worth mobilizing so many troops."

The guy got up, shaking his head. "Good, as long as they’re not coming for us."

Nine-Fingered looked up at the sky, at the fighter jets hovering above, his face growing serious. The same thought crossed his mind, 'Could they really be coming for us?'

He glanced at Peter.

Peter looked serious, too, hoping the fighter jets would just fly away.

But they didn’t.

The people from the Four Great Families looked at each other, confused.

With a faint smile, Larry walked over to untie Matthew on the ground.

"What are you doing?" a subordinate shouted, raising an iron pipe to smash Larry’s head.

Larry’s face darkened. He raised his hand and caught the iron pipe.

"Everyone, squat down with your hands on your heads." A loudspeaker from a helicopter in the sky broadcasted the command.

Everyone on the ground panicked.

They all squatted down with their hands on their heads.

The people from the Four Great Families looked at Larry, thinking, 'Could it be that Larry called them? Who exactly is Larry? No, it’s absolutely impossible that Larry called them. The army is just passing by.'

They didn’t believe Larry had called the army.

At that moment, the army arrived.

The tanks were aimed at the people in the Bennett Family cemetery.

Larry untied William and helped him up from the ground.

Then, he went to untie the woman next to him and helped her up.

The woman was around twenty, with delicate features. Her beauty and grace shone through, despite the mud on her face.

"Larry, is it really you?" William reached out and grabbed Larry, his wrinkled hand trembling.

Larry held William’s hand. "William, it’s really me. I am Larry. William, stand aside for now. It’s time to settle the grudge from ten years ago."

Larry scanned the people in front of the cemetery.

They were all squatting on the ground with their hands on their heads, not daring to move because there were snipers in the helicopter above, with red laser dots aimed at their heads. Any rash move would mean immediate death.

The heads of the Four Great Families were trembling.

Peter squatted on the ground, his pants wet.

Nine-Fingered was even worse off, a foul smell wafting from him. He was so scared he soiled himself.

At that moment, Nine-Fingered and Peter understood that the army was indeed called by Larry.

Henry regretted not listening to Roxanne earlier. If he had, the Hall family wouldn't have faced this disaster. Now, none of the Hall family members could survive.

Frank got up and went to the car to fetch some pre-prepared offerings.

Larry came to Richard's grave and knelt down. His eyes were moist.

Ten years ago, on this very day, the people from the Four Great Families appeared at the Bennett Family estate, tied them up, and tortured them in every possible way.

Larry was only eighteen that year.

Larry could never forget the scene of the Bennett Family members being tied up, burned in the fire, and screaming in agony.

"You. It was you." Larry suddenly stood up, pointing at some of the people squatting on the ground.

Larry choked up and shouted, "It was you ten years ago, you cruel bastards. If you had any compassion, you wouldn't have done such inhumane things."

The shout echoed like thunder.

The people from the Four Great Families and many gang leaders didn't dare to say a word.

Roxanne walked over, kneeling in front of Larry, and pleaded bitterly, "Larry, I know I was wrong. Please give me a chance."

"A chance?" Larry's eyes were bloodshot. "You didn't give the Bennett Family a chance."

Larry shouted, "Bring the sword."

Frank quickly ran to the car and came back, holding a sword wrapped in black cloth.

Frank knelt on one knee in front of Larry, handing him the sword wrapped in black cloth.

Larry swiftly uncovered the black cloth, revealing a sharp sword.

This sword symbolized justice. It was personally bestowed upon Larry by the highest official of the Summer Nation. With this sword, Larry could execute any wrongdoer without facing consequences.

This sword was given to Larry when he was granted the title of commander, and Larry had never used it until now.

"I am a rational person. I will not wrong a good person, nor will I let a bad person go. The culprits who went to the Bennett Family villa ten years ago, step forward and accept judgment. Those who are not involved, get out."

The people from the Four Great Families all squatted on the ground.

At this moment, they were terrified, their bodies trembling.

Henry was the first to step forward, kneeling in front of Larry, begging for mercy, "I am guilty. Please spare the Hall family."

Larry raised the sword in his hand.

Then, the sword fell. It pierced through Henry's body.

Blood spilled onto the ground. Henry's body collapsed to the ground.

This scene terrified everyone present.

Larry roared, "Next."

At this moment, Larry was like a demon.

The people from the Four Great Families were all scared stiff. Some of the more timid ones even fainted from fear.

Larry came to Louis.

Louis died under the sword.

Larry's expression was cold as he walked step by step. Whoever he approached would faint from fear.

But fainting did not save them from their fate.

Soon, in front of the Bennett Family cemetery, more than a dozen people were dead.

On that day, the only culprit left was Roxanne.

Larry came to Roxanne.

The sword in Larry's hand was covered in blood.

Roxanne knelt on the ground, trembling, unable to even speak to beg for mercy.

With a swift motion, the sword struck.

Roxanne fell into a pool of blood.

Free King approached after Larry had dealt with these people, looked at Larry, and asked, "Is it done? If it is, I'll handle the aftermath."

Larry knelt in front of the grave and roared to the sky.

The ten years of suppressed hatred in Larry's heart was finally released at this moment.
