Chapter 70 Become Chaotic

In General Repair Shop, underground stone house.

More than twenty mercenaries knelt on the ground.

The underground emperor Grim Reaper, Ghost Lord, was also trembling and kneeling on the ground.

He had reached his current position, so he definitely knew many influential people; otherwise, he would have been eliminated long ago.

However, the once-mighty Ghost Lord of the underground world was now humbly kneeling.

Soon, Leon returned with some documents in his arms. Seeing Grim Reaper trembling on the ground, he stumbled, scattering the documents everywhere.

Larry glanced at Frank.

Frank understood, got up, and walked over to pick up the scattered documents.

He handed them to Larry.

Larry looked at them seriously.

As expected of Grim Reaper, who was in charge of the underground intelligence network, the documents contained detailed information that even official channels couldn't find.

[The Bennett family, the top family in Sunset City ten years ago.]

[The Bennett family had migrated from Aurora Citadel.]

[Thirty years ago, Richard came to Sunset City and founded the Bennett family.]

Seeing this information, Larry frowned.

He thought, 'Does the Bennett family migrate from Aurora Citadel?

'What is going on?

'Why hasn't Grandpa mentioned this?'

He glanced at Frank.

Frank was also looking at the documents in Larry's hand. Seeing his gaze, Frank shuddered and immediately knelt on the ground.

As Frank knelt, Sue also panicked and knelt down.

Larry said, "Frank, how could you not find such simple information?"

"Mr. Bennett..." Sweat appeared on Frank's forehead as he hurriedly explained, "I didn't know. I used official channels to investigate. If I couldn't find it, it must have been erased."

Larry waved his hand slightly and said, "Get up, no need to kneel. You are my buddy."

"Yes." Frank stood up and wiped the sweat from his forehead.

Although Larry treated him well, Frank knew his place; he was just a subordinate.

Larry continued to look at the documents.

[The Bennett family possessed a treasure map.]

[Artwork of Moonlit.]

[This painting had been passed down for a thousand years and was said to hide a great secret, making it extremely valuable.]

[Many influential people had coveted this painting.]

[A conspiracy against the Bennett family began.]

[Frederick of the Four Great Families in Sunset City persuaded his sister Roxanne to get close to Richard's son Ryan and marry him.]

[A year later, Roxanne found an opportunity to appear in Richard's bed, framing Richard and causing his downfall and a rift between Richard and Ryan.]

[Subsequently, Roxanne accused Ryan of dereliction of duty and embezzlement, causing Ryan to have a heart attack. Roxanne then pushed him from the third floor, killing him.]

[That night, various forces gathered at the Bennett family.]

[Twenty-five members of the Four Great Families gathered at the Bennett family villa, tying up dozens of Bennett family members to force the whereabouts of the Artwork of Moonlit.]

[Underground forces waited outside the Bennett family villa to support the Four Great Families.]

[The underground big shots involved were Lord Davis, Black Wind Jacob, Nine-Fingered, and others unknown.]

[The mastermind was unknown.]

[The whereabouts of the Artwork of Moonlit were unknown.]

Larry continued to look through the latest documents.

[Ten years later, the head of one of the Four Great Families, Kevin, died, Frederick died, the heads of the other three families died, and Jacob died.]

[It was speculated that the people Chloe rescued from the Bennett family fire ten years ago had returned for revenge.]

[The identity of the masked man was unknown.]

[Free King publicly executed the masked man.]

Seeing the latest information, Larry took a deep breath.

The documents were quite detailed.

There was a lot of information he hadn't known before.

For example, the Bennett family had migrated from Aurora Citadel.

Richard had never mentioned this to him, and Frank's investigation hadn't uncovered this information either.

Also, the underground forces that Frank couldn't identify were listed in the documents. However, these individuals did not enter the Bennett family residence but remained hidden outside as backup in case of any unexpected events.

Among them was Black Wind Jacob.

Larry hadn't expected that the Jacob he had killed earlier was one of the main culprits in the destruction of the Bennett family.

He thought, 'The documents indicates that besides the known individuals, there were certainly others involved.

'Where exactly is the Artwork of Moonlit, and who was the mastermind behind it?'

Larry remained silent, and the stone house was eerily quite.

After a long time, Larry took out a lighter and burned the documents in his hand.

Looking at Grim Reaper and his subordinates still kneeling on the ground, he said coldly, "Stand up and speak."

"I dare not." Grim Reaper trembled all over.

"Stand up," Larry roared suddenly.

This roar terrified the underground emperor Grim Reaper so much that he collapsed to the ground. He tried to stand up but his legs were weak.

Larry stood up, pulled Grim Reaper up by his collar, and asked coldly, "Where is the Artwork of Moonlit? Who are the big shots in the documents, and who is the mastermind?"

"I... I don't know." Sweat dripped from Grim Reaper's aged face, and his teeth chattered. "Black Dragon, I really don't know."

Larry, enraged, threw Grim Reaper to the ground. "Useless, if you don't know, why do I have to keep you alive?"

A terrifying killing intent erupted from Larry.

"Please..." Grim Reaper trembled all over and hurriedly said, "Black Dragon, the Artwork of Moonlit is in Aurora Citadel. As for whose hands it's in, I really couldn't find out. I only run an underground intelligence network; my organization doesn't dare infiltrate Aurora Citadel. Oh, right..."

He suddenly remembered something and said, "The Artwork of Moonlit seems to be related to an ancient artifact."

Hearing this, Larry calmed down.

He sat down, took a deep breath, then lit a cigarette, and said, "Stand up and speak."

"Yes." Grim Reaper crawled to the front of the sofa, using all his strength to get up from the ground and sit on the sofa.

"What ancient artifact?"

"I'm not sure. This artifact only appeared recently. It's said to have been excavated from Victor Veil's Tomb at Southwild Border. The artifact was stolen during an internal conflict among the thieves, and it has already entered the antique market in Sunset City."

"Do you know the current whereabouts of this artifact?"

"Not yet. I'll immediately use the entire network system to investigate. Please give me some time, Black Dragon. As soon as I have any information, I'll notify you immediately."

Hearing this, Larry glanced at Sue.

It seemed Sue hadn't lied.

This glance made her shudder.

Larry stood up and asked, "Frank, do you have ten bucks?"

Frank emptied his pockets and handed over a crumpled ten-dollar bill from a handful of change.

Larry casually threw it, and the bill flew like a dart, accurately embedding itself in the sofa next to Grim Reaper's head.

Grim Reaper only felt a whooshing sound by his ear, followed by a numbing sensation in his eardrum, scaring him into not daring to move.

"I said I'd pay, so I will. Once you find the information, notify me immediately. No, go to Mortal Clinic and notify Frank." Larry got up and left.

Frank and Sue followed closely behind.

After they left, Grim Reaper finally sighed in relief.

He took out a tissue and kept wiping the sweat from his forehead.

"My God, why has the Black Dragon from Southwild come to Sunset City? Could it be that he... he is the one Chloe rescued from the Bennett family fire ten years ago? Yes, that must be it!" Seeing Larry, Grim Reaper connected the dots.

He had investigated Larry and knew he was the son-in-law of the Lewis family.

He thought, 'Why would the dignified Black Dragon become someone else's son-in-law?

'Yeah! He's to repay a debt of gratitude, to repay Chloe for saving his life. And it's said that Black Dragon is also a miraculous doctor. That's why Chloe could restore her appearance twice.'

He also knew that the masked man who had been widely talked about in Sunset City was the son-in-law of the Lewis family, who was also the Black Dragon from Southwild.

He said, "Sunset City is about to become chaotic."
