Chapter 193 Frank's Accident

Eight hundred million bucks, with two hundred million in interest every freakin' day.

How the hell was this gonna get paid back?

It felt like the sky was falling. Sam was so down, he was thinking about ending it all.

"Sam, you gotta get the cash. This is Aiden we're talking about, the guy's a total psycho. If you don't pay up, it's not just you, the whole Lewis family's toast," said Thalia Nguyen, the drop-dead gorgeous woman working at the underground casino.

She was there to cater to the big shots. Hearing this, Sam started shaking. He got up, wanting to bolt. But he was too weak to move. He had no clue how he even got home.

Once he did, he crashed onto the bed, not wanting to move or even eat. He thought about jumping out the window a bunch of times. But he was too scared.

After dinner, Chloe was talking business with Larry In Chloe's room.

She mentioned that all the old equipment had been moved out, and after the medical conference, they'd find a new spot to set up the factory. She still had some cash to cover the costs.

"Got it." Larry didn't say much. The Business Growth Collective was gunning for him.

Chloe was just caught in the crossfire.

The Business Growth Collective of the Four Great Families would pay big time.

In another room, Sam wanted to come clean but couldn't.

Not only had he swiped five hundred million from Chloe's account and lost it all, but he also took out eight hundred million in high-interest loans.

He was too scared to say anything.

It was still dark out the next day. Larry was still knocked out. The phone ringing woke him up. Half-asleep, he reached for the phone on the nightstand, declining the call.

Soon, the phone rang again, more urgent this time.

Opening his eyes, Larry picked up the phone. It was a call from a city in Southwild Border. He answered.

"Black Dragon, if you want Frank to stay alive, get to Southwild before dark, or you'll be picking up his corpse." A raspy voice said.

Larry was instantly wide awake. "Who the hell are you?" The caller hung up. Larry quickly called Frank.

"Sorry! The subscriber you dialed can't be reached right now, please try again later."

The phone was off and couldn't be reached.

At that moment, Larry knew something was up with Frank.

But Southwild was his turf, guarded by a million Black Dragon Army soldiers. Frank, his right-hand man, had the power to mobilize the army. How could anything happen to Frank on his own turf?

"Honey, what's wrong?"

Chloe groggily turned over, looking at Larry, who was sitting on the edge of the bed with a grim expression.

The grim look on Larry's face faded.

He turned and smiled at Chloe, comforting, "Just a call from the company. They want me to go on a business trip. Honey, I might have to head out of town."

"Okay." Chloe didn't suspect a thing and said, "Focus on work. Need any money? I can transfer some to you."

Larry smiled and said, "I'm not going on a vacation. The company will cover it."

Chloe warned, "When you're out there, don't mess around and bring back any diseases."

Larry looked embarrassed and said, "I won't." He got up to open the wardrobe.

Larry rummaged through the wardrobe for ages but couldn't find what he was looking for. He turned and asked, "Babe, where's that steel wire made of silver needles I had in here?"

Chloe was already up. After thinking for a sec, she pointed to the balcony, saying, "I noticed it was pretty sturdy, so I used it to hang clothes. It's out on the balcony."

Larry felt a wave of embarrassment. His weapon, being used to hang clothes?

Ten years ago, he got this weapon along with some mysterious medical skills. It was made from eighty-one special silver needles that could combine into a unique steel wire.

Larry headed to the balcony. Sure enough, there was the steel wire, with a few pieces of underwear hanging on it.

Larry's face twitched. He took down the underwear and retrieved his weapon. Like it had a mind of its own, the steel wire instantly wrapped around Larry's arm. Chloe walked out.

"By the way, why do you need the steel wire for a business trip? I thought it was pretty cool."

Larry didn't say much but gave a slight smile. "Babe, it's getting late. I need to report to the company."

With that, he went back inside, grabbed a black trench coat from the wardrobe, and put it on.

Chloe just reminded him, "Be careful out there."

"I know." Larry turned and left.

As soon as he was out the door, the smile vanished, replaced by a grim look.

He pulled out his phone and called Free. "Free, get a private jet ready for me. I need to go to Southwild." Larry hung up before Free could even ask why.

At a military base in Sunset City, a helicopter was already waiting on an open field.

In front of it stood a young man in a black trench coat and a middle-aged man in a battle robe.

Free asked, "Why are you heading to Southwild? You don't have the authority to mobilize the Black Dragon Army since you resigned and are no longer Black Dragon."

Free sensed a deadly vibe from Larry. He frowned and asked, "What's going on? What happened?"

Larry glanced at him and said, "Nothing much."

"Need my help?" Free asked.

He didn't know what was up, but he could tell it was serious from Larry's expression. Larry waved him off. With a flick of his sleeve, he stepped onto the helicopter. The helicopter slowly took off and soon disappeared from Free's sight.

Free also frowned.

"Why's he going to Southwild all of a sudden?"

He pulled out his phone and called Frank.

"Sorry! The subscriber you dialed is powered off."

Free frowned and muttered, "What's going on? Why's the phone off?"

He had a bad feeling. Larry going to Southwild meant something big was happening. But he didn't know what. Still, he wasn't too worried even with Larry's resignation.

The Black Dragon Army was still fiercely loyal to him.

And in Southwild, he had an absolute position even if he had resigned. No one would dare mess with his formidable strength.

Larry took the private jet to Southwild. On the jet, Larry's expression was grim. He pulled out his phone and dialed again.

The number he called was the one from the morning. Soon, the call connected.

"I'm on my way. Who are you, and what have you done to Frank?"

"Come to Cedar Grove in Southwild. Someone will contact you when you arrive."

"If Frank is hurt, I won't let you off no matter who you are."

The caller hung up.
