Chapter 98 Changing the Location
Upon hearing Larry's words, Victor exclaimed in shock and immediately began to tremble.
This was something Victor never dared to imagine before.
He asked, "Larry, are you serious?"
The few people at the door had no idea what was happening and looked at the flustered Victor with astonishment.
"Victor, let's talk over here," Larry pulled Victor aside and assured him confidently, "Victor, I can guarantee that what I'm saying is absolutely true. I've already made the arrangements. As long as you're willing, you can host the birthday party at the Imperial Residence. At your 80th birthday party, the Lewis family will become renowned in Sunset City. This is the first step for the Lewis family to enter high society."
After his initial excitement, Victor calmed down.
He glanced at Larry. "Larry, do you know what the Imperial Residence is?
"The Imperial Residence has underwent a long perid of construction. Countless prominent families have tried to buy it, with some even willing to spend billions, but there's no way to purchase it. And you say you can let me host a birthday party there, right?"
"Yes." Larry looked serious.
"How can you do that?"
Larry repeated the story he had told Chloe. "Victor, I won't hide it from you. I was once a general in Southwild. Because of a minor offense, I was court-martialed. The Imperial Residence belongs to Black Dragon, the commander of Southwild. It was a special reward for Black Dragon, and he's far away in Southwild.
"Although I've been discharged from the military and will never be reinstated, Black Dragon has always looked out for me. I called and asked Black Dragon for a favor, and he agreed."
"Were you a general?" Victor was surprised.
He never imagined that this loser Larry would be a general.
Larry gave an awkward smile. "I was a general once. I violated some rules, went to court, and was discharged from the military. But... Victor, I assure you, it's true. We can really host the birthday party at the Imperial Residence."
Originally, he had planned to hold his wedding with Chloe at the Imperial Residence. But now, there was a misunderstanding and conflict with her.

"Sure." Victor couldn't stop smiling.
The Imperial Residence was the most prosperous and mysterious villa in Sunset City.
Hosting a birthday party at the Imperial Residence would definitely shock Sunset City.
"Thank you, Victor." Larry smiled.
With Victor on board, the rest would be easy.
As long as they didn't divorce, he could explain everything slowly.
"Victor, don't mention that it's because of me that you got to host the birthday party at the Imperial Residence. I have a criminal record, and if it attracts the attention of the authorities, I'm done for. And the party at the Imperial Residence will also fail," Larry reminded him.
He knew Victor loved being respected and would definitely want to show off.

I never thought that at eighty, I could still have a moment of glory and be admired once again. I'll hold a press conference right away to announce the change of venue for the birthday party."
"Well, Victor, I'll head back now. I've already informed them that the Lewis family can start setting up at the Imperial Residence in advance, but... make sure not to damage anything. If the higher-ups find out, not only will I be in trouble, but the Lewis family will be too."
"I understand, I'll be careful." Victor was extremely excited.

Victor said, "Cancel the reservation at the Sunset City Hotel. I want to change the venue for the birthday party."
Harry immediately became anxious and said, "I've already paid a fifty-hunred-thousand-dollar deposit. The Sunset City Hotel has agreed to clear an entire floor for us. Why change the venue now? And where in Sunset City could be more prestigious than the Sunset City Hotel?"
Victor laughed heartily. "I want to move it to the Imperial Residence. This time, I want to have a moment of glory. I want the entire Sunset City to know the strength of the Lewis family."
"Dad, are you out of your mind? The Imperial Residence? We can't even get in there."
Oscar cautiously asked, "Dad, are you talking about the Imperial Residence in Scenic Villas? The one that's rumored to be priceless, the one that's been completed for years but no one knows the owner?"
"That's right." Victor laughed. "Harry, for this party, add another eight million dollars to the budget. Invite all the big celebrities we can. Also, send out the invitations to the Four Great Families, the Legion Group, Everlife Pharmaceuticals, the Lirena Group, and Matthew. Oh, and redesign the invitations.
