Chapter 84 Credit Stolen Again

Ulysses made a call for backup.

Robert was instantly terrified.

If Mad Dog really brought people over and saw him here, he would definitely get caught up in it and get beaten. Mad Dog might even retaliate against the White family.

Robert's legs went weak with fear. He didn't care about Helen anymore, turned around, got in his car, and drove a distance away to watch.

Helen was also a bit worried.

Although she wasn't from Sunset City, she knew that the White family was considered wealthy in Sunset City, and now Robert was this scared.

This indicated that Mad Dog was not to be messed with.

She tugged on Larry and whispered, "Let's get out of here."

However, Larry remained unmoved.

He looked at Ulysses, who had just made the call.

Ulysses was quite handsome, and it was because of his good looks that he could better deceive some vain women.

With a faint smile, he said, "Call more people. If you call too few, it won't be enough for me to fight."

A trace of malice appeared on Ulysses' face. "No matter who you are, you're dead."

"Larry, let's go." Helen tugged on Larry.

Larry gave her a faint smile. "It's okay. Since you know I'm the Lewis family's son-in-law, you should also know that I am a retired soldier. Just three or five people? I won't even take seriously."

Hearing this, Helen felt much more at ease.

Larry didn't leave, so Helen stayed as well. She also wanted to see his skills.

Soon, several stretch limousines arrived.

A group of men with fierce looks, holding iron rods, swarmed out of the cars.

100 feet away, Robert, in his Audi, saw this scene and trembled with fear. "It's over. The Lewis family's son-in-law is done for. Helen, why didn't you leave? If you had left earlier, nothing would have happened. What do I do now? I don't dare to save you."

Seeing the people arrive, Ulysses immediately became arrogant. He glanced at Larry. "You're dead."

"Ulysses, who is it?" A man in his thirties, bald, with a scar on his head, walked over.

He was wearing a black tank top, a thick gold chain around his neck, and had a fierce look on his face.

Just the scar on his head could scare many ordinary people.

He was Ian from the East Side, Mad Dog's number one enforcer, Oliver Fisher, who had won thirty-eight consecutive times in underground fights and killed many people.

Ulysses immediately walked over, bending at the waist. "Mr. Fisher, for such a small matter, you could have just sent a few guys. No need to come personally."

As he spoke, he pointed at Larry and Helen by the roadside. "It's him. That woman is the one I fancy. She's a beauty. I planned to offer her to Ian, but he stopped me."

When Oliver saw Helen, his eyes immediately lit up.

Oliver srutinized her.

She had a ponytail, was wearing a white casual short-sleeve shirt, a denim mini skirt, and had a pair of long, fair legs.

She was truly a top-tier beauty.

Ian had been with top-tier beauties before, but never one this top-tier. He swallowed and ordered his men, "Get him. Break the guy's legs and take the girl."

However, at this moment, a Jeep drove up, followed by the sound of a loudspeaker.

"Everyone in front, put your hands on your heads and don't move." As the loudspeaker's sound spread, several fully armed soldiers got out of the Jeep.

These were Free King's men.

After going back yesterday, Free King was worried that Larry might cause trouble and didn't want to deal with any aftermath, so he specifically sent a small team to follow Larry.

If Larry showed any signs of fighting, they would immediately intervene.

The team following Larry in secret saw this scene and didn't dare to hide anymore, so they revealed themselves.

Seeing the fully armed soldiers, Oliver and his men were scared stiff. They immediately squatted on the ground, hands on their heads, not daring to move.

Howard walked over, gave Larry a slight smile, and then issued the order, "Take all these people away."

In an instant, dozens of fierce gang members were taken away.

The sight of Howard made Helen's heart race.

This was General Howard, an excellent general under Free King.

Helen hadn't even figured out what was going on before Howard left.

Seeing Howard get in the car and leave, she felt disappointment. This was the closest she had ever been to a hero, and she missed the chance to take a photo with him.

Larry had long known that Free King had secretly sent people to follow him.

This was good, as it prevented some unnecessary trouble.

He pulled Helen's suitcase and smiled. "Let's go."

Helen snapped out of it and nodded.

From a distance, Robert saw the gang members being taken away by the soldiers and immediately drove over.

Getting out of the car, he hurried to Helen and said, "Helen, don't be afraid. I'll protect you. My family happens to know a general. When I found out these people were causing trouble, I immediately called, and that was why the soldiers came. Are you okay?"

Helen glanced at Robert. "Did you call them?"

"Yes," Robert said proudly, "Do you know where we are? This is Sunset City. The White family has some status here. A few days ago, at Free King's inauguration ceremony, my grandfather attended. The White family is a prominent family in Sunset City, so it's not surprising we know a general."

He began to boast. In reality, the White family was just a second-rate family, not even comparable to the Lewis family.

Helen thought, 'I've thought he was a coward, but it turned out he had called  for help.

'He is not bad, a bit smart. No wonder my mother praises Robert so much.'

"Helen, get in the car. Let's go to Pavilion Restaurant. I've made a reservation," Robert said with a smile, taking the suitcase from Larry and glaring at him. "Stop staring. Helen is coming with me."

Larry was speechless.

Robert really knew how to seize the moment and take all the credit.

He looked at Helen and asked, "Are you coming with me or with him?"

Helen glanced at Robert.

She thought, 'Robert is indeed handsome, his family is wealthy, and he knows a general. I've also heard that Pavilion Restaurant is the most luxurious restaurant in Sunset City, and ordinary people can't even get a reservation.'

Helen also wanted to see Pavilion Restaurant.

More importantly, she wanted to take a photo with the general. And now, her opinion of Robert had changed.

She decided to continue trying to date Robert.

She looked at Larry with an apologetic face. "Larry, I'm sorry for the trouble. You can go back now. After lunch, I'll have Robert take me home."

Since that was the case, Larry didn't say anything.

He turned and left, getting into Sam's low-end Honda that cost over thirty thousand dollars.

Meanwhile, Robert invited Helen into his car and then drove off in his expensive Audi.

Larry took out his phone and called Chloe, "Chloe, I saw Helen, but her classmate picked her up. I think his name is Robert... What? Robert has a bad reputation in Sunset City? He once assaulted a female college student, forcing her to jump off a building and commit suicide?"

Chloe scolded, "Larry, you need to follow them. If anything happens to Helen, I won't forgive you."

Larry, feeling helpless, started the car and followed.

If it weren't for Chloe's instructions, he wouldn't bother with these matters.

What did Helen's life or death have to do with him?

However, now Chloe said Robert had poor character.

Helen having dinner alone with Robert might put her at a disadvantage.

Chloe had suffered before, so she was a bit worried.

She repeatedly reminded Larry to bring Helen home safely. If Helen got hurt, she wouldn't forgive Larry.
