Chapter 415 Larry's Pretending

As soon as Larry saw Alistair and his men approaching, dragging a battered and barely conscious Trinity, his anger surged instantly.

A wave of fury erupted, and a terrifying aura emanated from him, creating an oppressive atmosphere.

The temperature around them dropped in an instant, and Alistair and his men felt as if they were standing in an icy abyss, shivering involuntarily.

Facing the murderous Larry, even Alistair felt a twinge of fear.

His hand holding the gun was slick with cold sweat.

But the sight of Trinity in his grasp bolstered his confidence, and he sneered, "Well, well, Larry. I never thought you'd survive the poison and even master Qi, becoming a true martial arts grandmaster."

"Let her go."

Larry's face was dark and menacing as he spoke coldly, "This is between you and me. Don't involve innocent people. You have family, you have loved ones, too."

"Larry, are you threatening me?" Alistair scoffed, "Today, you won't leave here alive."

He tossed a gun to the ground.

Pointing at the gun, he commanded, "Pick it up. Do it yourself. If you die, I'll let her go. Otherwise, I'll kill her first, then you."

Larry took a step forward.

"Stop! One more step and I'll shoot," Alistair shouted, yanking Trinity's hair and pressing the gun to her head.

The others also raised their guns, aiming at Larry, ready to fire at any moment.

Larry calmly picked up the gun.

"Yeah, pick it up. Shoot yourself in the head, and it all ends," Alistair laughed.

At that moment, he felt a surge of pride.

What good is being a martial arts grandmaster if he can still be controlled?

Larry held the gun, his face grim as he looked at Alistair and his men.

He was calculating.

Calculating how to kill them all in an instant.

Any mistake, and if Alistair had a few seconds, Trinity would be in real danger.

"Alistair, can I trust you? If I die, will you really let her go?" Larry asked calmly.

Alistair swore, "Larry, I only want you dead. She means nothing to me. If you die, I'll definitely let her go."

"Hope you keep your word."

Larry raised the gun slowly, pressing it to his forehead.

He secretly used Qi to damage the bullet's internal structure.

If he fired now, the bullet would still come out.

However, he could use Qi to control the damaged bullet, reducing its power.

He could also gather Qi to resist the bullet, making it only penetrate the skin, creating the illusion of being shot.

"Larry, hurry!" Alistair roared.

He gripped Trinity tightly, his hand trembling.

He roared and shouted.

"Shoot, hurry, do it!"

Larry lowered his hand.

Seeing this, Alistair's hand shook violently, and he shouted, "I'll kill her!"

Larry raised his hand again, this time aiming at his heart.

Shooting himself in the head, even with a bullet damaged, would still be fatal.

Shooting the chest was different.

Bang.

The gunshot rang out.

Larry's chest bled instantly, blood staining his white undershirt.

"Hope you let her go."

Larry dropped the gun, clutching his chest, and slowly fell to the ground.

"Haha..."

Seeing this, Alistair laughed.

The others also relaxed.

After all, this was Larry, a martial arts grandmaster who had single-handedly killed so many undead warriors.

Alistair laughed, dropping the unconscious Trinity.

The others exchanged glances, smiling.

But in that instant, Larry reached behind his back, pulling out a pre-prepared silver needle, and flicked it.

The needle shot out, hitting the men.

Some died, some were paralyzed.

Even Alistair was hit in the chest, his eyes wide with terror, pointing at Larry.

Larry flipped, leaping to Alistair, and kicked him, sending him flying.

Larry grabbed Trinity from the ground.

At that moment, Dr. C, who had been lying on the ground, sprang up, quickly retreating and dragging Alistair into the depths of the base.

Larry held Trinity.

By the time he reacted, Dr. C had already dragged the unconscious Alistair deeper into the base.

Larry was about to chase, but a door dropped in front of him, blocking his path.

"Damn it," Larry cursed.

But he didn't chase immediately.

He held Trinity's hand, checking her pulse.

After assessing her condition, Larry sighed in relief.

Though Trinity was severely injured and weak, she wasn't in immediate danger.

Larry walked to the sealed iron door, pushing it, but it didn't budge.

He frowned, muttering, "Alistair was hit in the chest. Even if he escapes, he won't survive. Alden said there's only one exit here."

With that in mind, Larry didn't chase. He carried the unconscious Trinity outside.

Soon, he exited the research base.

Outside the base.

Alden and the Eight Heavenly Dragons were anxiously waiting.

Seeing Larry carrying a bloodied woman, they all sighed in relief.

"Larry, are you okay?"

"How's Trinity?"

Larry shook his head slightly, "Trinity is stable for now. Is there really only one exit from this base?"

Alden nodded, "From our investigation, there's only one exit. Maybe there are more, but we haven't found them. What happened inside?"

Larry said, "Alistair was inside. I almost killed him, but he was rescued. They closed the gate, blocking my way. Though Alistair was hit by a silver needle, the person with him is strange and fast. I'm worried he might save Alistair."

He took out his phone and called Free.

"Free, you can send in the troops."

"Larry, it's not that I don't want to, but the base has documents. If I send troops, it could cause a big issue, and I might lose my position."

Larry said, "Alistair is severely injured, possibly dying. But I'm worried he's not dead yet. He's hiding in the base, and I have the research data. It's enough to sentence Alistair to death."

With Larry's assurance, Free was relieved.

"Alright, I'll send in the troops immediately."

Larry and the others didn't leave but guarded the exit.

About ten minutes later.

Boom!

An explosion came from inside the base.

The ground shook.

Larry's face changed, "Quick, the mountain is going to blow! Evacuate now!"
