Chapter 355 Crowned King, Dragon King

Abigail was wasted.

She passed out cold.

She had no idea how long she'd been out, but she slowly came to, rubbing her temples gently.

After a bit, she rolled over and got up, realizing she was in a hotel room. Her bag and laptop were on the table next to her.

Abigail grabbed her bag and checked her phone, seeing it was already four in the morning.

"How did I drink so much?"

She looked puzzled.

She remembered Larry inviting her out for drinks.

She remembered spilling her guts to Larry.

After that, it was all a blur.

Then she noticed the location on her phone.

"Sunset City? I'm back in Sunset City?"

She was stunned.

It took her a few seconds to process, and her eyes filled with tears.

"Larry, you jerk."

Abigail angrily threw her phone.

It hit the ground and shattered into pieces.

She collapsed onto the bed, crying her heart out.

She remembered confessing her feelings to Larry, wanting to be with him, but Larry had sent her back to Sunset City.

That meant Larry had rejected her.

Southwild.

Black Dragon Mansion.

Tonight, Larry couldn't sleep.

He never thought emotions could be so complicated.

He always believed he was a loyal person.

He was the Black Dragon, admired by countless women across the country, but he never paid them any attention.

But when it came to Abigail.

Larry felt a spark.

When Abigail confessed her feelings, he almost said yes.

But he couldn't forget someone.

A woman he had felt guilty about for ten years.

A woman who had been on his mind constantly.

Even though they were divorced, Larry hadn't moved on, so he had Abigail sent back.

They say time heals all wounds.

He hoped that with time, he could forget Chloe, the woman who haunted his thoughts.

"Dragon Lord, she's been safely sent back and is staying at the hotel."

Idris stood by, reporting the news.

Larry waved his hand slightly, saying, "Alright, I know. You can go rest now."

"Yes, sir."

Idris nodded and turned to leave.

Larry lay on the couch, staring at the ceiling, letting his thoughts wander.

The night passed quietly.

The next day.

In the morning, a piece of news spread across the country and even the world.

General Frank of Southwild led envoys to twenty-eight countries. In negotiations with the kings of these countries in the Republic of Saelstan, under pressure and persuasion, the twenty-eight countries agreed to cede five cities to Summer Nation.

The news shocked the world.

The news returned to Summer Nation, causing nationwide excitement.

"Dragon Lord is invincible."

"The twenty-eight countries dared to invade Summer Nation, they must be out of their minds."

"General Frank is also very handsome."

The whole nation was buzzing.

The internet was filled with cheers and laughter.

And Frank returned successfully.

Military District.

A helicopter slowly landed.

Many people were standing there.

Leading them was Larry, dressed in his Black Dragon uniform, followed by the Eight Heavenly Dragons and several officers.

The helicopter stopped.

Frank, dressed in his uniform, got off the helicopter, followed by some envoys.

"Dragon Lord, mission accomplished."

Frank approached, smiling.

Larry hugged him and laughed.

"Well done. After this, the Southwild Border will truly be peaceful. From now on, you're a hero, and you'll be remembered in history."

Frank chuckled, "It's all thanks to you, Dragon Lord. I'm just doing my job."

At that moment, Idris ran over and saluted.

Larry waved his hand slightly, saying, "What's the matter?"

Idris shouted, "Dragon Lord, news just came from Aurora Citadel. The highest official of Summer Nation, the king, is coming to Southwild to bestow honors upon you."

Larry rubbed his nose and said, "I'm already one of the Five Great Marshals. What more can they give me?"

Frank laughed, "Congrats, Dragon Lord."

"Alright, enough with the flattery. Let's go grab a few drinks."

Larry and Frank walked away, arm in arm, under the watchful eyes of many soldiers.

Southwild, a roadside food stall.

A group of people were drinking.

At the entrance, several fully armed soldiers stood guard.

The ones drinking were Larry, Frank, and the Eight Heavenly Dragons.

The Eight Heavenly Dragons were a bit reserved.

Larry and Frank drank until noon.

At noon.

Military District.

Many important figures arrived from Aurora Citadel.

Leading them was the highest official of Summer Nation, the king, the person truly at the top of the power pyramid.

Accompanying him were the chief administrator and the head of the Five Great Marshals, Alistair, commander of the Legion of Flame Surge.

There were also several high-ranking officials.

The Legion of Flame Surge provided full protection.

Larry's gaze lingered on Alistair, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"Larry, well done."

The highest official, the king, approached, patting Larry's shoulder, praising him, "You resolved the Southwild conflict without bloodshed and successfully negotiated the cession of five cities from the twenty-eight countries to Summer Nation. You are the true war hero of Summer Nation."

Larry smiled faintly, saying, "It's what I should do."

The highest official turned and ordered, "Read!"

The secretary of the highest official immediately took out a red document and read aloud, "In the Southwild conflict, Black Dragon performed outstandingly, killing the general of the twenty-eight countries, forcing their retreat, and sending envoys to negotiate the cession of territory."

"This achievement is enough to be recorded in history."

"Larry is hereby bestowed the title of Dragon King, with a ten-star rank."

Larry was stunned.

"What are you doing, ten stars? The highest rank is five stars. Now you're creating a ten-star rank, breaking international conventions. And what is Dragon King?"

The highest official laughed, "This is a special case. You might be the only ten-star commander in Summer Nation's history. As for Dragon King, the benefits are numerous."

"Really? What benefits?"

The highest official explained, "This title was agreed upon through consultation and received unanimous approval. The cities ceded by the twenty-eight countries will be under your full control. Do you understand now?"

Larry was shocked.

This meant he would essentially be the ruler of an independent nation.

The secretary continued reading.

"In the battle against the twenty-eight countries, many contributed significantly. They are hereby bestowed the title of Eight Heavenly Dragons, with a one-star rank, under the command of the Dragon King."

The eight individuals smiled upon hearing this.

After reading, the secretary handed the document to Larry, smiling, "Larry, congratulations. You are the first person in Summer Nation's hundred-year history to be crowned king."

Larry took the document, smiling faintly, "Thanks."

Many people stepped forward to congratulate him.

Larry responded to each one.

"Larry, congratulations." Alistair also approached, smiling.

Larry glanced at him, saying, "It's all thanks to you, Alistair."

The two laughed together.

After the ceremony, the highest official of Summer Nation left.

The accompanying dignitaries also departed.

Once the important figures from Aurora Citadel left, the military district erupted in cheers.

"Dragon King, Dragon King, Dragon King."

The cheers were endless.
