Chapter 456 The Contrast is Too Great

After recognizing Larry, Della went all out, snapping dozens of selfies with him. The last one was the most outrageous, with her practically hanging off him, making the scene as suggestive as possible.

"Oh, right."

After the photoshoot, she remembered and asked, "By the way, did you need something from me?"

"It's about Graham."

Larry felt deeply guilty and remorseful about the situation.

In the past few days, he had visited the families of his fallen comrades, explaining the circumstances and agreeing to any requests they made.

"Let's find a place to sit and talk."

"Sure." Della nodded without hesitation.

They left together.

A coffee shop near the school.

Larry recounted everything that had happened recently to Della.

"Graham died because of me. I came to see if there's anything I can do to help you."

Della sighed.

"Graham had a tough life. He dropped out of middle school to work, then joined the military. He rarely came back, and I hardly saw him. The last time we met was over six months ago."

When she first heard about Graham's death, she was heartbroken.

But now, she had moved past the grief.

Now, she mostly felt a sense of resignation.

Resignation to the unfairness of fate.

"Is there anything you need help with?" Larry asked, feeling guilty. "You're Graham's sister. From now on, I'll take care of you. If you need anything, just let me know, and I'll do my best to help."

Della didn't blame Larry.

Although she wasn't a soldier, Graham often told her that as a soldier, he was always prepared to sacrifice his life for his country.

And it wasn't Larry who killed Graham; it was someone sent by Alistair, who had already been brought to justice.

"I don't need any help. The compensation from the government is enough to support me until I graduate from college." She shook her head slightly.

"How about this: give me your account details, and I'll transfer a million dollars to you as a form of compensation."

Della quickly waved her hand, saying, "No, that's not necessary."

She stood up, waved at Larry, and smiled, "A few days ago, Alistair's death shocked everyone. General Southwild Frank said someone used the Execution Sword to kill him. I guessed that only the Black Dragon could wield the Execution Sword. I hope you stay true to yourself and don't become a traitor. That way, Graham can rest in peace."

After waving, she smiled and left.

But as she turned away, tears began to flow uncontrollably.

In front of Larry, she pretended to be strong.

But Graham was her only family, and she didn't even get to see him one last time.

The country only brought back a photo of Graham.

Saying she wasn't sad would be a lie.

"Della is quite mature." Paisley, who had been silent the whole time, finally spoke after Della left. "At such a young age, she's not tempted by money. A million dollars is more than most people make in a lifetime, and she just turned it down."

"Yeah." Larry nodded. "She's a good girl. Let's head back."

They stood up.

But just as they did, Della came running back, hiding behind Larry.

Then, a loud voice shouted, "Where do you think you're going?"

A young man walked in, followed by several burly men.

It was Tony, who had been beaten up earlier.

These were his bodyguards.

After being beaten, he immediately called for backup.

His family's bodyguards were known to be able to take on multiple opponents.

No matter how good Larry was at fighting, Tony was determined to make him beg for mercy this time.

Tony walked in, glaring at Larry and Paisley, and pointed to the ground, arrogantly demanding, "Kneel down right now, and I'll let you go this time. Otherwise..."

Della, hiding behind Larry, whispered, "He's from the Johnson family. They have a lot of influence in Meadowbrook City, with assets worth billions. They have connections in both the underworld and the authorities."

Larry nodded slightly. He knew that if they just left, Tony would definitely continue to harass Della. This needed to be resolved before they left.

Beating Tony up again wouldn't solve the problem. Tony would surely seek revenge.

They needed to call Tony's father.

When he got off the plane earlier, he heard from Lloyd that the wealthy people of Meadowbrook City were waiting outside the airport to meet him.

But he didn't have Lloyd's number now.

So, he discreetly took out his phone and called Free in Sunset City, asking for Lloyd's number.

Tony, hearing this, sneered, "It doesn't matter who you call today. Get him!"

At his command, the burly men clenched their fists and approached Larry.

"Larry, fight! Knock them down!" Della, hiding behind Larry, egged him on, her demeanor completely different from the mature girl she had been earlier. Now, she seemed like a rebellious teenager, the contrast stark.

Larry glanced at the burly men.

In an instant, one of them swung a fist at Larry, shouting, "Kid, kneel and apologize to Larry..."

Larry easily blocked the punch and pushed back lightly.

The man was sent flying.

Then, Larry moved swiftly.

The burly men were quickly taken down.

The coffee shop, near the school, was filled with students who had been relaxing. Seeing the fight, they all backed away.

Tony, seeing his bodyguards on the ground, started to get scared and backed away, "You, you stay away from me."

Larry walked towards him.

Tony kept retreating until he stumbled over a table and fell to the ground.

Larry pulled up a chair and sat down, taking out his phone to call Lloyd. In a commanding tone, he asked, "Is there a Johnson family in Meadowbrook City?"

"Yes, yes." Lloyd, excited to receive Larry's call, replied, "Dragon King, do you want to see Atlas Johnson?"

"Tell Atlas to come to the coffee shop near Seattle High School immediately. Tell him his son is causing trouble."

Lloyd was stunned, pausing for a few seconds before quickly responding, "Yes, I'll notify him right away."

Tony, having gotten up from the ground, laughed, "Call my dad? Do you know who my dad is? He's one of the top ten richest men in Meadowbrook City. Do you think one phone call can bring him here?"

Larry smiled faintly.

He didn't bother arguing with Tony.

He would wait for Atlas to arrive and talk to him.

Della took out her phone, recording the scene, then came over to Larry, smiling, "Larry, make sure you punish him properly this time."

Larry smiled back, "Don't worry, he will be punished."

"Haha!"

Tony laughed and sat down, "I want to see how you plan to punish me today."

A crowd had gathered around.

Even the coffee shop owner was there.

Recognizing Tony, a well-known rich kid, the owner didn't dare say anything, standing worriedly at a distance, praying they wouldn't fight in his newly renovated shop. If it got damaged, he'd have to pay for repairs again.
