Chapter 236 Proving Innocence
"Go to hell."
Orion grabbed a chair and swung it at the back of Larry's head. Larry spun around just in time, raising his arm to block it.
The chair smacked his arm, and Orion felt like he’d hit a brick wall. He bounced back and hit the ground, yelping in pain.
Larry dusted off his arm, glanced at Orion on the floor, stepped on him, and spat, "Bastard."
Orion's face contorted in pain, crying out.
Larry ignored him and walked back to the bed.
He helped Abigail up, trying to get her to sit cross-legged.
But Abigail was like a ragdoll, no strength at all, and she slumped back down.
Larry quickly caught her. He held her shoulders to keep her from falling and reached around to support her back, trying to force the drug out of her system.
Abigail finally started to come to.
When she came to, she saw Larry and remembered feeling his touch earlier. She raised her hand and slapped him hard, shouting, "Bastard, what did you do to me?"
Larry blocked the slap and said calmly, "I saved you. Why are you hitting me?"
"You saved me?"
Abigail was confused. She remembered coming into the room with Orion but had no clue what happened after.
"If you can move, get up and go back to your room and put on more clothes. Any guy would want to commit a crime with you dressed like that."
Larry tossed out the comment and headed for the door. He opened it and yelled.
"Help! Come quick, something big happened."
Larry didn’t care about Abigail’s feelings; he just wanted to clear his and Chloe's names.
His shout drew a crowd.
After Abigail got up, she saw Orion writhing on the floor. She didn’t need to guess what had happened.
She walked to the door, feeling weak, and stumbled towards Larry, grabbing him just in time to stay upright.
She clung to Larry to keep from falling.
A bunch of people rushed out. Chloe showed up too.
Seeing Abigail holding onto Larry, Chloe was momentarily stunned.
Larry saw Chloe and quickly let go of Abigail, hurrying over to her.
As soon as Abigail was released, she felt weak again and fell to the ground. She grabbed the wall, barely standing, and cursed, "Larry, you bastard, can't you help me up?"
Larry had already reached Chloe and explained, "Chloe, it's not what it looks like."
Chloe gave him a resentful look and then quickly walked over to Abigail, asking, "Abigail, what happened to you?"
Abigail shook her head, "I don't know either. Larry knows."
Hearing this, everyone looked at Larry, puzzled.
Wasn't Abigail with Orion for treatment? How did Larry end up in Orion's room?
A few guys from Class One entered the room.
Seeing Orion on the ground, they immediately helped him up.
"Larry, you bastard, why did you hit him?"
"If you don't explain, you're done for."
They shouted.
Orion, wincing in pain, said, "I was treating Abigail; he climbed in through the window and tried to assault her. I tried to stop him, but he hit me."
"Larry, how could you be such a jerk."
"You really are a bastard."
A group of guys cursed, while also eyeing Abigail, who looked so sexy and tempting, no wonder Larry did that.
A lot of folks had thought about it, but no one had the guts to actually do it.
Chloe wasn’t buying Orion’s story. She held up Abigail and asked, "Abigail, is that true?"
"I don't know."
Abigail was still out of it from the drug; she couldn’t remember what went down.
She had a hazy memory of Larry touching her all over.
She shook her head weakly, "I really don't know. I vaguely remember Larry picking me up and touching my back, hands, and legs."
Larry burst out laughing. He had been trying to help her by getting the drug out of her system. How could that be considered groping?
"That's just how it is," Orion chimed in, "I tried to stop him, but he hit me."
"Let's call the cops."
"Such a scumbag is a menace to society."
People started shouting.
Even Abigail was confused. She thought Orion was trying to assault her and Larry had come to save her.
But after hearing everyone’s accounts, she started to believe that Larry had tried to assault her and Orion had stepped in, leading to the fight.
Orion whispered to a few classmates, "He has a memory card. Hit him and grab it."
They got the hint.
"Larry, you bastard."
"Bastard, I'll beat you to death."
A few guys rushed at Larry, trying to hit him and snatch the memory card in the chaos.
Larry didn’t hold back, kicking them down instantly. His strength was too much. The others didn’t want any more trouble.
Larry glanced at Abigail and said calmly, "Abigail, I saved your dignity. Since even you misunderstand me, I have no choice but to let everyone watch a free porn video."
He pulled out the memory card, walked back into the room, inserted it into the camera, and hit play.
A crowd gathered around the camera.
The room was packed. Dozens of people surrounded it, eyes glued to the screen.
When it got to the part where Orion pounced on Abigail and hugged her, Abigail blushed and quickly moved to turn off the camera. Orion looked terrified.
"So that's what happened."
"Orion really is a bastard."
"We totally misunderstood Larry."
"Larry’s the good guy. He had the perfect chance but didn’t take advantage of Abigail."
Everyone finally got it.
Larry looked at the embarrassed Abigail and grinned, "It's not over yet. The best part is still to come. Let everyone watch to clear my name."
Abigail glared at Larry and snapped, "Say one more word and I'll rip your mouth off."
Larry chuckled, "Alright, it’s over. Abigail’s fine. Luckily, I got there in time and used my skills to get the poison out of her system."
He looked at Abigail and smiled, "Remember to wear more clothes when you go back. It’s hard not to get assaulted in that dress. Also, drink more warm water when you get back. There’s still some drug residue in your body. More water will help flush it out."
Some guys laughed. Abigail felt super embarrassed and quickly said, "Chloe, help me back to my room."
"Okay." Chloe nodded.
Just then, Xavier and his agent Elodie walked over.
"Xavier is here."
A bunch of girls shouted. But under everyone’s gaze, Xavier suddenly knelt in front of Chloe. Everyone was stunned.
What the heck was going on?
