Chapter 219 Chloe's Initiative
After all the drama, Chloe finally got her head straight.
She still had a thing for Larry, who had a special spot in her heart.
She always remembered how Larry had patched her up, taking care of her like she was made of glass and showing endless concern.
She suggested they take a bath together, ready to get intimate with Larry.
Larry looked at the shy Chloe, a bit taken aback.
Then, with a cheeky grin, he asked, "For real? You sure about this? I didn't push you or anything."
"If you're not up for it, that's cool."
Chloe blushed and bolted towards the bathroom.
Larry scratched his nose. He really liked Chloe. But now wasn't the right time.
He had a ton of crap to deal with.
Plus, they hadn't had a wedding yet. He planned to wait until all this mess was sorted out, then throw a wedding with Chloe that would be the talk of the town, maybe even the whole country. Only then would he get intimate with her.
Chloe went to take a bath.
Soon, she came out wrapped in a towel, her hair wet and dripping.
"Babe, can you blow-dry my hair?"
"Sure thing." Larry was more than happy to help.
After this, he felt like Chloe's feelings towards him had shifted a bit.
She'd never asked him to blow-dry her hair before. Today, she actually asked.
Chloe sat in front of the vanity mirror.
Larry walked over, picked up the hairdryer, and started blow-drying her hair.
The scene was super cozy and romantic.
"Babe, we're broke now." Chloe's face was red, with a hint of helplessness and bitterness.
"Sam swiped five hundred million dollars from my account. Now the Martinez Family is demanding I pay it back and has even sued me. The villa and all the valuable stuff at home have been seized by the court. The money in the Everlasting Group's account has all been used to pay back the Martinez Family."
"It's cool." Larry said casually, "We'll take it slow, we'll get there eventually. The medical conference is coming up soon. I'll make you famous in Sunset City, maybe even worldwide, as the new miracle doctor. Once you have a rep, investors will come."
Larry wasn't sweating the money at all.
This trip to Southwild, though risky, had brought in a lot of compensation.
Most of it went to the Black Dragon Army, but he also got a trillion dollars, which was enough to do a lot of things.
The Five-State Business Alliance, the Business Growth Collective, the Prosperity Business Alliance—he wasn't scared of any of them.
Soon, Chloe's hair was dry.
Chloe stood up, shook her long hair, and the scent of the shampoo hit Larry's nose.
She stood up and nudged Larry towards the bathroom.
"Go take a bath and sleep."
"Okay." Larry went to the bathroom to take a bath.
When he came out, Chloe was already lying down.
As soon as he lay down, Chloe reached out and hugged him.
She wasn't wearing anything, her skin pressed against Larry's, making him feel her warmth and the softness of her chest.
"Babe," He spoke, but he was super nervous.
"Babe, I'm really sorry." Chloe hugged Larry, nestled in his arms, and kept apologizing.
"It's all in the past, no need to say sorry."
Larry really couldn't take it anymore. He turned around and looked at Chloe.
Chloe's pretty face was slightly red, and she closed her eyes. Larry could see her trembling eyelashes.
Chloe waited for about thirty seconds.Seeing that Larry didn't kiss her, she opened her eyes to his familiar face, then, summoning unexpected courage, hugged him and kissed him directly.
They kissed each other.
