Chapter 93 Misunderstanding Deepened
Sam and Mindy took their newly bought Maserati for a spin and came back.
As they opened the door and entered the house, they saw the scene.
Helen was holding Larry's arm with both hands, her whole body pressed against Larry's. They looked very intimate.
"What are you two doing?" Sam exclaimed.
He walked over and started yelling, "Larry, you're using the Lewis family's money, and now that Chloe is not home, you're having an improper relationship with another woman behind her back.
"And you, Helen, how could you do such a thing? This is Chloe's husband!"
Helen was just joking around with Larry.
She didn't expect Sam to come back so quickly.
She quickly let go of Larry, her face flushed, and she lowered her head to explain, "Sam, it's not what you think."
"Then what is it?" Sam shouted, "If we hadn't come back, would you two have taken off your clothes and gotten into bed?"
Larry didn't expect things to turn out this way either, but he didn't explain much.
Mindy walked over, sat on the couch, and glared at the two of them, scolding, "Helen, you're utterly shameless. You always look so docile, I thought you were a simple person, but it turns out you're a slut, going after Chloe's husband... And you have such weird taste, liking losers like him."
Helen opened her mouth but didn't know how to explain.
She looked at Larry with a pleading expression. "Larry, explain it, it's not like that."
Larry said calmly, "We don't have any improper relationship, there's no need to explain."
"Larry, you're done for. I'm definitely telling Chloe about this and making her divorce you," Sam cursed viciously.
He had long been displeased with Larry.
Larry had spoken out of turn at the family meeting, causing Chloe so much trouble.
If Victor took back the family's shares because of this, it would be a huge loss.
Larry had an indifferent expression.
In his mind, Chloe wasn't like them.
She knew how to judge and handle things.
"I'm going to buy groceries and cook." Seeing that it was about time, Larry stood up and went out.
After he left, Helen started explaining again. But Sam and Mindy wouldn't listen.

'I'm not afraid of them telling Chloe.'
Helen was actually hoping Larry and Chloe would divorce, so she could openly pursue Larry.
Chloe had been at the company all day.
First, she attended a press conference, then took over the company, familiarized herself with the business, and prepared materials for applying to move into the Trade Center.
She got so busy that she forgot about what she saw last night.
She didn't get home until 8:00 p.m..

Sam exaggerated the story.

They weren't hugging intimately; she was just holding Larry's arm, which she thought was nothing.
Chloe's face darkened.
She had seen it last night.
She didn't expect Helen and Larry to be so bold, hugging each other at home.
Chloe sat down with a stern face.
Larry noticed she was a bit upset and explained, "Chloe, don't listen to Sam's nonsense. There's nothing between Helen and me. She was just holding my arm, asking me to help her find a job. It's nothing like what Sam said about us being intimate."
"Yes," Helen added, "Chloe, that's exactly what happened."
Sam immediately jumped up and yelled, "It definitely wasn't about finding a job. You're just a nobody, not the company president. Chloe is now the chairwoman of Everjoy Company. If she needed a job, why wouldn't she ask Chloe instead of you?"
Maria, with a stern face, said, "Helen, I won't tell your dad Vincent about this to avoid tarnishing the Martin family's reputation. Larry, you must divorce Chloe. The Lewis family will not tolerate such a shameless son-in-law."
"Yes, divorce," Mindy also chimed in.
Chloe felt a bit overwhelmed.
Divorce?
Chloe had thought about it last night.
However, she remembered how good Larry had been to her.
She remembered Larry's meticulous care and concern for her.
She wanted to give him another chance. Because in her mind, it was normal for men to make mistakes, and as long as they could correct themselves, they could be forgiven.

Being scolded as shameless, Helen cried out in grievance, "Yes, I'm shameless. So what? Larry is such a good man, being ordered around by you all. If you want a divorce, then divorce. After the divorce, I'll marry him."
Maria stood up and slapped Helen. "How can you say such shameless things? The Martin family is truly unfortunate to have someone like you."
A slap mark instantly appeared on Helen's fair face, and she cried out in grievance.
"Fine, I'll fulfill your wishes," Chloe choked out, "Larry, tomorrow morning, we'll go through the divorce procedures."
With that, she ran back to her room crying and slammed the door shut.
Larry rubbed his temples, looking helpless.
Even when facing thousands of enemies, he had never felt so troubled.
However, Larry came back this time to repay a debt, not necessarily to marry Chloe or possess her. As long as he could make Chloe happy, he was willing to do anything.
Now she was angry. And he couldn't explain immediately.
He could only wait until Chloe calmed down to explain.
"Get out." Maria pointed to the door. "Both of you, get out. The Lewis family doesn't welcome you. Sam, go throw Helen's suitcase out."
"Yes, Mom." Sam immediately went to a room, took out Helen's suitcase and some clothes, and threw them all outside the door.
