Chapter 452 Chloe Who Knows Everything

Larry boarded a private jet, leaving Aurora Citadel behind.

When he reappeared, he was already in the Sunset City military district.

Free was there to pick him up.

As soon as Larry got off the plane, Free walked over and gave him a big hug, laughing heartily, "Larry, you really did the country a solid this time."

Even though Free was stationed in Sunset City and didn't get involved in the conflicts of Aurora Citadel, his position meant he was somewhat aware of the situation. He knew Larry had used the Execution Sword to kill Alistair and that Larry had faced significant danger.

Thankfully, Larry had returned alive.

"Good to have you back." Free playfully punched Larry in the chest and said with a grin, "We've known each other for months, but we haven't had a drink together yet. Before you went to Southwild, I said we'd have a proper drink when you got back."

"Let's save it for another time."

Larry waved his hand slightly and asked, "By the way, how's Trinity doing?"

"She's recovering well," Free nodded. "She can basically be discharged, but she insists on staying in the military hospital until you return."

"Thanks for taking care of her," Larry said gratefully.

"Come on, no need for formalities between us."

"Oh, right," Larry remembered something. "Can you send me the detailed information about the brothers who died in the underground cave last time, including their family names?"

Last time, in search of the second volume of the medical scripture, dozens of Free Army soldiers had perished.

Larry felt deeply guilty.

He had promised at their graves to take care of their families, ensuring they wouldn't have to worry about daily necessities, car loans, or mortgages.

"Sure."

Free didn't argue.

Although the families of those soldiers had already received compensation, he knew Larry wouldn't be at peace unless he did something more.

"I'll have Howard send it to you."

"Has Mr. Cruz recovered?"

"Yeah, he's fully recovered."

"Thanks. I'll go check on Trinity first."

"I'll have someone drive you over."

Free made a call, and soon a car arrived.

Larry didn't say much and got into the car.

The military vehicle took Larry and Paisley to the military hospital, and before long, they arrived.

Larry stood outside Trinity's room. Before he even entered, he heard laughter and chatter from inside, indicating several women were talking and laughing.

Larry knocked on the door.

"Coming."

A voice responded, followed by footsteps. Soon, the door opened.

A woman in a red jumpsuit, tall and beautiful, stood there.

It was Abigail.

Abigail was momentarily stunned upon seeing Larry, then she exclaimed joyfully, "Larry, you're back! Come in."

Larry walked in.

Besides Trinity, there was another woman in the room.

It was Chloe.

Larry was surprised. What was Chloe doing here?

"Larry," Chloe greeted him sweetly.

Trinity also called out, "Larry."

Chloe noticed Paisley with Larry and frowned, asking, "Paisley, why are you with Larry?"

Both Larry and Paisley were taken aback.

Paisley looked at Chloe, puzzled, "You must be Chloe. I've been in Aurora Citadel, mostly with the Bennett family, and haven't been out much. How do you, someone from Sunset City, know me?"

"Yeah," Larry added, "how do you know Paisley?"

Chloe was momentarily speechless.

After a few seconds, she smiled and said, "I heard about you. They say the Bennett family has a stunning beauty named Paisley. Seeing you today, the rumors are true."

"Heard about me?"

Paisley looked puzzled.

Even in Aurora Citadel, not many people knew her.

Only some truly reclusive families were aware of her existence.

Who had Chloe heard this from?

Larry didn't dwell on the question. He looked at Chloe and asked, "What are you doing here?"

Chloe smiled, "Trinity is your employee, part of the Lewis family. She got hurt because of you, so it's not too much for me to come and check on her, right?"

Larry glanced at Abigail.

Abigail shrugged and said, "Don't look at me. I didn't say anything."

She leaned closer to Larry and whispered, "She disappeared for a few days and came back different."

"Really?" Larry looked at Chloe, puzzled.

He also felt Chloe seemed different, but he couldn't pinpoint how.

"Why are we talking about me? Now that you're back, Trinity can be discharged. Let's go out and celebrate with a meal," Chloe suggested with a bright smile.

"No, I have other matters to handle."

Larry wanted to visit the families of the brothers who had died for him recently and provide them with some compensation. Otherwise, he wouldn't feel at ease.

He looked at Trinity and said, "If you can be discharged, go stay with Esmeralda for a while."

Then he turned to Abigail and asked, "How's Esmeralda's health? Has she had any episodes recently?"

Abigail shook her head, "Not for now, but I can tell she's getting weaker. I visited her last night. Her air conditioning was on high, and she was dressed warmly, but she still seemed cold."

"I'll check on her later."

Previously, Larry had no way to treat Esmeralda's condition.

He could only use medication to drive out the cold from her body.

Now, having learned the second volume of the medical scripture and mastered the Against Heaven 81 Needles, he felt he could completely cure Esmeralda.

"Alright," Abigail nodded.

Larry asked again, "How's the company doing, and what about VitaGen Medical?"

Abigail replied, "VitaGen Medical is developing rapidly. Alistair's death hasn't slowed them down; they've been launching new drugs continuously. PaxGen Pharmaceuticals is also growing but has only released one new drug."

"VitaGen Medical is still growing quickly?"

Larry frowned.

Alistair had been in charge of these matters. Now that Alistair was dead, had Mr. Strother, the person behind Alistair, found someone else to take over?

He rubbed his forehead.

It seemed that unless the people behind Alistair were dealt with, this would never end.

Alistair's death hadn't completely changed the situation.

Abigail continued, "Recently, major financial groups have been very active. Business Growth Collective has been making a lot of noise, launching Seas Pharmaceuticals, which is also developing rapidly. The new city in the suburbs is being built quickly, with a lot of funds coming in. The Five-State Business Alliance is heavily promoting NextGen City. Meanwhile, established pharmaceutical companies like Legion Lord and the Everlife Group have become low-key, seemingly observing the situation."

Larry nodded slightly.

Legion Lord and the Everlife Group were industries of some major families in Aurora Citadel. With the current chaos in Aurora Citadel, they were also watching the situation.

On the other hand, Business Growth Collective and the Five-State Business Alliance likely had backing from someone, possibly a significant figure in Aurora Citadel.

Paisley, unfamiliar with Sunset City's situation, listened intently without saying a word.

"Larry, I think I can help you too. My abilities are no less than Abigail's, and managing such a large group alone must be overwhelming for her," Chloe stepped forward.

Larry looked at Abigail again.

Abigail shrugged, "If I say I didn't tell her anything, would you believe me?"

Larry looked at Chloe, puzzled, "You seem to know everything?"
