Chapter 359 Blockade
Larry felt completely drained, slumped in his chair to rest.
He closed his eyes.
In the medical books he had read, there were mentions of Gu.
Gu was a type of venomous insect.
Cultivating Gu was a complicated process. From what Larry understood, it involved capturing many poisonous insects, raising them together, letting them fight and kill each other, and the survivor became the Gu.
Different types of Gu had different effects.
Larry had no idea what kind of Gu he had been infected with.
All he knew was that his body seemed healthy, and medical tests showed no issues.
His weakness was due to the Gu in his blood and throughout his body. If he could find a way to expel the Gu, he would recover.
But he had only read brief mentions in medical books.
He had no idea how to remove the Gu.
Chloe watched Larry sitting in the chair, eyes closed, brows furrowed. She stood silently by his side.
After a while, Larry opened his eyes and took out his phone to call Frank.
"Hey Frank, I heard you got a vehicle ready and left. What's going on?" Frank's voice came through the phone.
"There's a situation. I'm at the top of Heavenly Mountain. Send a helicopter to pick me up and immediately lock down Heavenly Mountain Pass and the surrounding 140 cities. No one is allowed to pass without my orders."
Larry's voice was weak, as if he hadn't eaten for days.
Frank was shocked.
He knew something was wrong.
"Got it, right away."
Frank hung up and immediately gave orders.
"Quick, get a helicopter to the top of Heavenly Mountain. Issue orders to lock down Southwild and the 140 cities around Heavenly Mountain Pass. No one is allowed to pass without orders."
The military base sounded the alarm for a level-one combat plan.
Generals quickly took their positions and ordered their troops to lock down Southwild and the 140 cities around Heavenly Mountain.
Frank was already on his way to Heavenly Mountain Pass by helicopter.
He arrived quickly.
He saw that the top of Heavenly Mountain was calm, with no one around.
He frowned.
"What happened?"
Frank walked into the cabin.
Inside, he saw Larry and Chloe.
He was surprised and asked, "Chloe, what are you doing here?"
Then he looked at Larry, who appeared pale, and walked over, asking, "Larry, what's wrong?"
Larry weakly raised his hand and said, "It's nothing serious. Help me up, we'll talk later."
"Sure thing."
Frank walked over and helped Larry up.
Larry stood up with difficulty.
He was so weak that without Frank's support, he would have collapsed.
With Frank's help, he left the cabin and headed to the nearby helicopter.
Chloe followed closely.
Once on the helicopter, it took off quickly, heading to Southwild.
Southwild, military base.
As soon as Larry returned, he called for an artist.
He described Alfonso's appearance from memory, and as the image formed on the computer, Larry nodded, "Yes, that's it. Issue a global wanted notice for this person. He should still be near Heavenly Mountain Pass. Search every inch if necessary, but find him."
Frank shouted, "What are you waiting for? Get to it!"
"Yes, sir." Everyone sprang into action.
Larry tried to stand, but as soon as he did, he felt weak and dizzy, the world spinning around him. He collapsed back into the chair.
"Larry!" Chloe rushed over to help him.
Larry raised his hand to stop her. "I'm sorry."
Chloe stood aside, her face showing regret, apologizing repeatedly, "It's all my fault, I'm the one who caused this."
"Frank, send her back to Sunset City," Larry spoke weakly.
"I don't..." Chloe cried out as soon as she heard Larry wanted to send her away. She looked at Larry, her eyes filled with tears, crying, "You're like this, how can I leave? Let me stay and take care of you."
Frank was torn, unsure whether to send her away or not.
Larry looked at Chloe. Her hair was disheveled, her face scratched by her own nails, with scars from previous knife wounds still healing, making her look somewhat frightening. Her tearful appearance made Larry's heart ache. But he no longer owed Chloe anything. He didn't want to spend the rest of his life entangled with her. Before the major changes, he couldn't afford to have emotional ties with any woman, or it would become a weakness for his enemies to exploit.
"Execute the order," Larry said firmly.
Frank looked at Chloe, his face showing difficulty, "Chloe, go back, don't make this hard for me."
Chloe, with tears in her eyes, said, "Larry, why? Why are you doing this to me? Is it because of Abigail?"
"Someone, take me to rest," Larry called out. But his voice was weak, lacking strength, sounding almost like a woman's.
Several soldiers came in. Larry ordered, "Help me."
The soldiers came over and supported Larry.
"Larry," Chloe cried out. But Larry left with the soldiers' help.
Chloe cried loudly. Frank, looking helpless, said, "Chloe, let's go."
Chloe knew that since she had taken Larry's billion dollars and divorced him, she had completely lost him. She thought Larry still cared for her, but she hadn't expected him to treat her like this. She ran out, crying. Frank followed. He personally arranged a private jet to send Chloe back to Sunset City.
At the jet, Frank couldn't help but ask, "Chloe, what happened? What's wrong with Larry? He seems off, like he has no strength at all."
Chloe couldn't stop crying.
"Don't cry, tell me."
"They captured me and used me to threaten Larry," Chloe, with tears in her eyes, explained what had happened.
"What?" Frank shouted in shock, "You mean Larry will become weak, his muscles will atrophy, and eventually he won't be able to stand?"
Chloe sobbed, "Yes, that's what the poisoner said. I don't know."
Frank's face showed rare seriousness. After a long breath, he said, "Alright, I understand. You go back, I'll find the poisoner. Even if I have to search every inch, I'll find them."
Chloe slowly boarded the jet. Frank watched her board and the jet take off. His dark face showed a somber expression.
"Lock down the cities, don't let even a fly escape. Mobilize the entire army, search every inch of the border, and find that person."
