Chapter 26 The Miraculous Medical Skill
After dining at Pavilion Restaurant, Chloe and her family left in a daze.
Jane had tore the bandage off Chloe's face, and after leaving Pavilion Restaurant, Larry took her to Frank's Mortal Clinic to get her medicine adjusted again.
Chloe sat nearby, looking at the VIP card made from polished stone in her hand, and then at Larry's serious face. She felt disoriented, as if everything that happened today was unreal.
She didn't know Samuel from Pavilion Restaurant. Yet he gave her a diamond card.
This diamond card came with many privileges, including a 90% discount and three free meals per month, which was practically the same as eating for free.
Soon, Larry finished preparing the medicine. "Chloe."
Chloe snapped out of her daze.
Larry said, "Come, let me apply the medicine for you. I'm sorry for today. It was my leaving that got you humiliated. I promise it won't happen again."
"It's okay." Chloe was already used to it. She leaned her face closer. "Go ahead, apply the medicine."
Larry began applying the medicine and then bandaged her up.
After bandaging her, Larry took Chloe home.
At Scott's house, in the living room.
This time when Chloe came back, Maria was very enthusiastic towards her, almost like she was serving a wealthy young lady.
However, Scott was holding the equity transfer contract, giggling.
"Chloe, be honest with me. What's your relationship with the owner of Pavilion Restaurant? He's a young master from a big family in Aurora Citadel. Did you attract him when you restored your looks? If so, once your face heals, divorce Larry and be with Samuel. I would have some dignity with a capable son-in-law. Just thinking about it excites me!" Maria looked hopeful.
Thinking of Samuel's dominance, how he dealt with the Wilson Family without hesitation, was truly satisfying.
If she had such a son-in-law, she would laugh even in her dreams.
"Mom, I don't know him." Chloe looked helpless. She was still puzzled as to why Samuel was so enthusiastic towards her.

As for Samuel, Larry said he had no connection with him.

Larry saw this and felt helpless.
He thought, 'Putting myself in her shoes, I can understand Maria.

'Although she knelt to Jane before, it was for the sake of the family.
'It was better than Sam and Mindy, who tried to run away when things went wrong.

Larry shook his head slightly.

In the following days, Larry stayed home with Chloe every day, only going out to change her bandages.

Outside, there was a knock on the door.
"Chloe, don't delay. Victor is holding a meeting. We need to be on time. If we make Victor angry and he takes back the shares, I won't forgive you." Maria's voice came from outside.
"Mom, just a few more minutes," Chloe called out as she looked for clothes in the wardrobe, "Larry, what should I wear?"
Larry sat on the bed, looking at her.
She was wearing a thin dress, slightly transparent. She had a great figure, especially her long, white, and straight legs.
He said, "You look beautiful in anything."
"Help me pick an outfit."
"The dress in your hand looks good."
"This one?"
"Yes."
"Go out, I need to change." Chloe blushed and pointed outside.
Although she had a marriage certificate with Larry and he lived at home, she slept on the bed while Larry slept on the floor every night.
This was Larry's own request.
Starting from the first day of their marriage, it seemed to have become a habit.
Although she was Larry's wife, they only held hands and hadn't even kissed.
Larry was there to repay a debt of gratitude. He wouldn't force her.
If Chloe didn't agree, he wouldn't touch her.
Now that she asked him to leave, he didn't say much and walked out.

"Chloe, are your wounds healed?" Sam's eyes lit up when he saw Chloe.
Mindy also looked envious, jealous of Chloe's beautiful face and perfect figure.
"Chloe, is that you?" Maria was also stunned.
For the past few days, Chloe's face had been wrapped in bandages, and Maria hadn't paid much attention. Now that she had removed the bandages, her face was completely unscarred. This medical skill was truly amazing.
Chloe wore a white fitted dress, red high heels, her long hair draped over her shoulders, with a tall and slender figure and a graceful demeanor. She smiled. "Larry healed me."
Maria glanced at Larry and murmured softly, "Not completely useless, at least he knows some medical skills."
Larry smiled and said nothing.
He didn't just know a little about medicine; he was highly skilled. The nobles of Aurora Citadel tried every means to please him, partly because of his status and partly because of his medical skills.
"Knowing some medical skills, opening a clinic, seems like it could make money too." Maria scrutinized Larry.
Although she didn't like Larry, he was tall, strong, and quite handsome.
Moreover, he had healed Chloe twice, and she began to think about exploiting Larry's medical skills.
Chloe asked, "Mom, why did Grandpa suddenly call a family meeting?"
Maria said, "Free King's succession ceremony is coming up, and I heard they opened up a lot of seats to the public this time. Victor wants to hold a meeting to find a way to get a spot and elevate the Lewis family to the ranks of the top families."
