Chapter 67 The Events of Ten Years Ago Are Not Simple

Upon learning that besides the Four Great Families, some underground forces were also involved in the destruction of the Bennett family ten years ago. Larry turned frighteningly grim.

Frank immediately went to make arrangements.

Given his significant status, arranging these matters was quite simple for him.

Soon, everything was set.

"Mr. Bennett, it's all arranged. Tonight at the General Repair Shop in the suburbs, you'll meet Grim Reaper," Frank added.

Larry nodded.

"Mr. Bennett, Grim Reaper deals in intelligence trading, and his prices are exorbitant. Are we bringing money, or...?" Frank asked.

Larry glanced at Frank and asked, "Frank, how long have you been with me?"

Frank replied, "It's been about eight years now."

"Yes, eight years. You should know my temper by now. For a local gang leader, I don't need to spend money," Larry said.

"Yes, Mr. Bennett, you're right."

Larry checked the time. It was just past seven. It would take over an hour to drive to the suburbs.

Tonight, he might be back very late.

He took out his phone and called Chloe, "Chloe, are you home? I have some matters to attend to, and I might be back very late tonight, or not at all."

Larry's demeanor while on the phone was completely different from before.

Sue thought she must be seeing things. The feared killer of Southwild had such a gentle side, even smiling.

Sue tugged at Frank and glanced outside.

Frank nodded and went to the door.

Outside, Sue asked, "Frank, who is Mr. Bennett calling? Why did he suddenly change?"

Frank sighed. "She might be the happiest woman in the world."

"Mr. Bennett's woman?" Sue asked.

"It's best not to ask too much about Mr. Bennett's affairs," Frank warned.

"I'm just trying to understand, so I don't accidentally offend her in the future," Sue explained.

After calling Chloe, Larry came out and saw Sue and Frank whispering, "What are you talking about?"

Sue was so startled that she trembled.

Frank laughed. "Nothing much, Black Rose was just asking about Chloe."

Larry glanced at Sue.

Sue panicked and immediately lowered her head.

Larry said calmly, "From now on, there's no Black Rose, only Sue."

"Yes, Mr. Bennett, that was a slip of the tongue," Frank replied.

Larry patted Frank's shoulder and laughed. "Frank, you're not young anymore. It's time to think about marriage. What kind of woman do you like? Sexy or pure?"

Frank blushed. "Mr. Bennett, let's talk about this later."

Larry said sternly, "You're over thirty now. While we're in Sunset City, you should settle your marriage soon. Although I've submitted my resignation, it hasn't been approved yet. Who knows when there might be turmoil in Southwild, and I'll be called back. So, make the most of your time."

"Yes, you're right. If I meet someone I like, I'll pursue her," Frank chimed in.

"No need to pursue." Larry slapped him on the head. "You're good at fighting but terrible at wooing women. Forget it. I'll introduce you to someone."

Sue, feeling uncomfortable listening to the two older men talk, went back inside.

At the entrance of Mortal Clinic.

Larry and Frank sat on the steps, smoking special cigarettes and talking about women.

As they talked, Frank became embarrassed and quickly changed the subject. "Mr. Bennett, the Bennett family incident ten years ago wasn't simple. It wasn't just the Four Great Families. Many underground forces were involved. For one Bennett family, it didn't need so many forces to collaborate against them."

Larry looked at Frank and asked, "What's your take on it?"

Frank thought for a moment and said, "I found out that ten years ago, Frederick wasn't with the Western Territory Army but with Aurora Citadel. After the Bennett family's downfall, he went to the Western Territory. The Four Great Families weren't the masterminds. The person who could mobilize the Four Great Families and many underground forces in Sunset City must have a significant background."

Larry squinted and said, "How much power do you think this person has?"

Frank smiled. "No matter how much, it's not more than yours now."

"Alright, enough flattery. Get the car ready. Let's go see Grim Reaper. I want to see how much he knows about the Bennett family incident ten years ago," Larry demanded.

"Yes." Frank quickly left for the nearby parking lot.

Soon, he drove up in a black car.

Frank drove, taking Larry and Sue to the General Repair Shop in the suburbs.

Since they had plenty of time, Frank drove slowly.

By the time they reached the General Repair Shop in the suburbs, it was almost 9 p.m.

Outside a large repair shop, a black car was parked there.

In the driver's seat, Frank pointed to the repair shop ahead and said, "Mr. Bennett, this is where Grim Reaper is. It looks like a repair shop on the surface, but it's armed inside."

Larry, unconcerned, said, "Get out."

The three of them got out of the car and walked into the repair shop.

Before they even reached the main entrance, a man in shabby clothes, covered in oil, approached and said, "Sorry, it's late. Come back tomorrow for repairs."

Frank said, "We're here to see Aaron. We have an appointment."

The mechanic glanced at Larry and the others, then nodded. "Follow me."

The mechanic led the three of them to the backyard of the repair shop and into a room.

There was a hidden door in the room.

He opened the hidden door, revealing an underground passage.

At the entrance of the passage stood several men armed with submachine guns.

The mechanic waved slightly to the men inside. "They're here to see Aaron. They have an appointment. Search them."

Two men came out to search them.

"What are you doing..." Frank stood in front of Larry and said coldly, "Do you know who this is?"

The mechanic said coldly, "It's the rule. If you don't want to be searched, then leave."

Larry pulled Frank back and said, "Since we're on someone else's turf, we follow their rules."

Frank nodded.

The men at the entrance began to search them.

They found a gun on Frank.

Sue voluntarily handed over her gun.

Larry had no weapons on him, but they found a silver needle, which they also confiscated.

"Go." After the search, the mechanic spoke.

Larry and the others followed the mechanic into the underground passage.

The passage was long, extending deep underground, and was filled with fully armed mercenaries.

Frank whispered, "Grim Reaper's influence isn't just in Sunset City. He's entrenched in major cities. He's the true underground emperor, known as Ghost Lord in the underworld. Jacob that Mr. Bennett killed before is nothing compared to Grim Reaper."

Larry nodded slightly.

For a local gang leader, he didn't need to take him seriously.

If he wanted, he could call Free King, and this place would fall in minutes.

Soon, they reached the depths of the underground.

Larry found that there was an underground casino here, gathering many people.

Larry glanced around but didn't pay much attention. The three of them were led to a closed room, and the mechanic said, "Aaron is entertaining guests. Wait here."

Larry nodded slightly.

Since they were here, they would wait.

If he didn't get the information he wanted, this place wouldn't need to exist anymore.
