Chapter 241 Commemorating Black Dragon
Larry shot Lyra a grateful look. She had reacted quickly and impressively.
"By the way, what should we do with Visionary and his crew?" Larry asked Abigail and Chloe.
"Call the cops," Abigail said.
This wasn't just a small issue; it was a crime and needed to be reported.
"Yeah, I agree," Larry nodded.
Abigail pulled out her phone and dialed the police.
Meanwhile, Larry grabbed the antidote for the knockout gas he found on Visionary and started detoxifying the poisoned folks outside.
When these people woke up and realized what had happened, they were furious.
All of Visionary's crew were knocked out by Larry, lying on the ground groaning in pain. The students from Class One and Class Two tied them up with some ropes.
When they saw Visionary lying on the ground, barely alive, the students felt scared.
Maple Grove Mansion, hotel lobby.
All of Visionary's crew were tied up.
Visionary was there too. With broken bones, he was leaning against a pillar, looking like he was in serious pain, unable to even speak.
"Larry, you were too harsh."
Abigail looked at the dozens of people and the severely injured, barely alive Visionary. She frowned and said, "Visionary is seriously hurt. Could he die? If he does, we're in big trouble."
Larry laughed heartily and said, "Don't worry, he won't die. By the way, when the cops get here, you all need to testify for me. I was acting in self-defense."
Everyone was surprised.
Larry didn't have a scratch on him, while all these dozens of people had broken arms and legs. It looked less like self-defense and more like a one-sided beatdown.
Abigail's gaze lingered on Larry, who seemed to be getting more and more mysterious.
His medical skills were impressive, and his combat skills were formidable.
After these events, Larry's status kept rising. Many people came over to thank him for his help; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
The journey from the city to this place was long, taking the police two hours to arrive.
After getting the details, they took Visionary and Orion away.
After the police left, Lyra was taken back to Sunset City for treatment by Valerian.
Everyone else went to bed very late. Chloe went to accompany Abigail, leaving Larry alone.
Abigail had organized this class reunion partly because she had been abroad for many years and hadn't kept in touch with her classmates, so she took this opportunity to reconnect.
The other reason was to erect a monument for Black Dragon Larry and to commemorate Black Dragon, which she had planned long ago.
It was a forest on a hill far from Maple Grove Mansion. The surrounding trees had been cut down.
Some workers were building a grave, hired by Abigail. These people had been working on the grave and finally finished it.
Larry stood aside, watching this scene, feeling a bit sad. Everyone began to commemorate Black Dragon Larry. Larry walked a short distance away, lit a cigarette, and smoked alone on a rock.
In front of the grave, Abigail walked over and stood in front of the monument, memories of the past flooding her mind.
These were the moments when she and Larry met, got to know each other, and fell in love.
Feeling very sad, her eyes moistened, tears streaming down her face. She had waited for Larry for ten years, only to end up with this result.
Chloe also felt dazed. Black Dragon was the person she had saved from the Bennett Family ten years ago, the person who had changed her destiny, the person who had always been helping her from behind.
She hadn't even had a chance to properly show her appreciation to Black Dragon before he died.
Daisy was also silent. Back then, she was a mischievous girl who struggled in school. It was Larry who motivated her and changed her destiny, even though she never got the chance to meet him before he died.
The students from Class One were also silent.
Their class president back then turned out to be Black Dragon, who had contributed a lot to the country, protecting national security. But he ultimately died at the border.
After the memorial service, everyone paid their respects to him. It wrapped up around noon.
On the way back, Larry supported Chloe and reminded her, "Babe, the mountain path is rough. Be careful not to fall. Want me to carry you?"
"No way," Chloe felt shy. With so many people around, she was super embarrassed.
Seeing this, Abigail felt a bit envious for some reason. She envied Chloe for having Larry, who always protected her by her side.
A group of people returned to Maple Grove Mansion. Originally, Chloe wanted to have lunch there before heading back.
However, she got a call from home, saying that the Martinez Family was targeting the Lewis Family. That morning, the court had frozen all the Lewis Family members' bank accounts and was evicting them from their mansion, planning to auction it off.
Chloe got the news and immediately told Larry.
Larry frowned and asked, "What's going on? Didn't you already pay back the money you owed the Martinez Family? Why are they going after the Lewis Family?"
Chloe shook her head. "I don't know. It must be because we offended Lysander yesterday. Now he's using this as an excuse to target the Lewis Family."
Larry said, "Let's go back."
Chloe went to say goodbye to everyone.
Larry walked over to Sawyer and smiled, "Sawyer."
Sawyer was flattered and quickly stood up, asking, "Larry, what's up?"
Larry gave him his phone number, then patted him on the shoulder and said, "I have to go back to Sunset City. If you ever run into trouble, give me a call."
With that, he turned and left, driving back to Sunset City with Chloe.
By the time they arrived, it was already 2 PM.
A lot of people, Harry's family and Jack's family, had gathered at Chloe's house.
Larry and Chloe walked in. Chloe asked, "Grandpa, what's going on? Why is the Martinez Family targeting the Lewis Family?"
Victor sighed. Chloe looked at Harry, who remained silent.
"What exactly is going on?" Chloe was anxious.
Victor finally sighed and said, "The Carter Family retaliated against the Lewis Family, putting us in a crisis. Everyone was trying to find a way out. Oscar somehow got involved with the Martinez Family and borrowed five hundred million dollars, which was a trap. Now the Martinez Family sued us, and all the Lewis Family members' bank accounts, cars, and houses have been forcibly seized by the court."
The Lewis Family members were all silent.
Maria quietly said, "Dad, my small house can't accommodate so many people. Why did you all come here?"
She originally wanted to drive them away, but she didn't dare to with such a big trouble.
Larry hadn't expected the Martinez Family to act so quickly. They had only offended Lysander yesterday, and now the Martinez Family was targeting the Lewis Family.
Larry looked at Chloe and asked, "Chloe, do you have any money left in your account?"
Chloe shook her head slightly, "No, it's all been used to pay off debts."
"Mom, what about you?" Larry looked at Maria.
"I don't have any either," Maria said. "All the millions of dollars I had were used to help Chloe pay off her debts."
Larry looked at the dozens of Lewis Family members in the room and said, "You should find a place to stay temporarily with money in my account. After the medical conference, I will lead the Lewis Family to rise again. At that time, I won't let the Business Growth Collective, the Carter Family, the Martinez Family, or the Harmony Alliance Circle off the hook."
"Larry, why are you showing off at this crucial time?"
Maria stood up and scolded, "Our situation is already bad. Where do you have money to give them?"
Larry said calmly, "This whole situation is because of Chloe. The Lewis Family is in this mess because of her."
Larry then looked at Victor. "Grandpa, I'll transfer a million dollars to you first. You find a place to stay with these members. As for the Carter Family and the Martinez Family, I will help you get revenge."
