Chapter 226 Special Clothing Material

The folks from both classes just stood there, jaws on the floor, watching the whole thing go down.

Fiora, totally in shock, raised the dagger again and went for Larry.

Same deal. She was a petite girl, and the dagger was dull as heck. She couldn't even scratch Larry.

With a confused look, Fiora yelled, "You're lying! What do you have under your clothes?"

She couldn't wrap her head around it. It was a dagger, for crying out loud. She lunged forward, trying to rip Larry's shirt off.

"What the heck are you doing? You're trying to strip me in broad daylight, in front of everyone?"

Larry quickly backed off, keeping his distance, and said, "We had a deal. I take two stabs from you, and you drop it. Now that the two stabs are done, this is over."

Everyone stared at Larry, totally baffled. This was just too wild.

"No way, you're lying." Fiora wasn't about to let Larry and Chloe off that easy.

Larry, looking exasperated, pulled his shirt open. On his chest, there were two red marks from Fiora's stabs.

They didn't hurt him, but they left some marks.

"Who's lying? Isn't this where you stabbed? It's all red, with a tiny cut. Your dagger just isn't sharp enough."

People crowded around to see.

Sure enough, there were red marks. It looked like a bit of blood was coming out, like a needle prick, with a drop of blood.

Abigail, not really sure what was happening, stepped in to calm things down and said, "Fiora, you've stabbed him twice. Let's end it here. We're all classmates; no need to make it awkward."

Fiora didn't want to let it go, but she had agreed. If she kept pushing, she'd be in the wrong.

"Come on, let's go."

Fiora grabbed Lysander and left. By now, Lysander's bodyguards had gotten up from the ground.

He shot Larry a nasty look, snorted, and walked away.

After all that drama, neither Fiora nor Lysander stuck around for the party; they just bailed.

Abigail felt pretty helpless. The three friends who used to be tight were now like enemies. After they left, a bunch of people gathered around.

Chloe looked at Larry with concern and asked, "You okay?"

"I'm fine. What could happen to me?" Larry laughed, already fixing his clothes.

Chloe stared at him, puzzled, and asked, "A knife can't hurt you. Are you even human?"

Larry looked embarrassed and chuckled awkwardly, "Actually, my clothes are made of special material. They're knife-proof, and regular knives can't cut through them."

Larry started bluffing. Everyone suddenly got it.

No wonder he was so confident; his clothes were special.

"Alright, let's all head inside."

Abigail called everyone in. They all walked into Maple Grove Mansion.

Lincoln caught up with Chloe, smiling, "Chloe, you okay? I just can't stand those Martinez Family folks. They just flaunt their connections without any real skills. I'm different. I built everything on my own, and now I've got my achievements."

As he talked, he glanced at Abigail. She had already come over, ready to introduce Chloe to him.

Abigail immediately said, "Chloe, Lincoln is really great. He's got a sharp business mind and his own company. Making hundreds of millions a year is a breeze for him."

Abigail wanted to set Chloe up with Lincoln.

She didn't want Chloe, her good friend, to be with Larry, who she thought was useless.

Chloe knew what Abigail was up to and stopped, saying, "Abigail, I already have a husband. I'm not getting a divorce. Stop talking about it, or I'll get mad."

Abigail felt pretty stuck too. Everyone shuffled into Maple Grove Mansion and split off into their own little groups.

People were chatting away, and as time went on, more folks showed up.

By around six in the evening, the place was packed. Just then, a group walked in.

Leading them was this super handsome dude in a white casual outfit, fair skin, and silver hair, with a bunch of bodyguards trailing behind him.

"OMG, it's Xavier!"

"Superstar Xavier!"

"The class monitor really pulled it off, getting a superstar like Xavier here."

The students from both classes lost it when they saw Xavier, swarming him for autographs.

Xavier greeted everyone with a smile, but he was pretty bummed out lately. He'd been blacklisted by the Epoch Group, so no gigs, no movies, no TV shows.

He was used to blowing through cash, at least tens of thousands a day.

Now, with no steady income, he had to take on regular gigs to make some money.

If Abigail hadn't offered two hundred grand, he wouldn't have shown up. For a guy like him, singing at a class reunion was kinda embarrassing.

He wanted to go to the Epoch Group and apologize to the big boss behind it, but he couldn't even get past the front door.

He'd been trying to dig up info on the boss behind the Epoch Group, but no luck.

Larry was chilling on a sofa in the corner. Watching everyone go nuts over Xavier, he couldn't help but laugh.

Wasn't this the same star who'd stirred up scandals at the Epoch Group a while back? Larry had blacklisted him because of that.

He saw Chloe, all starry-eyed, rushing to get Xavier's autograph and a photo. Larry just smiled and let it be.

After greeting everyone, Xavier headed to a room on the second floor to chill. He was just there to sing a few songs during dinner.

Xavier's appearance really amped up the class reunion.

The students from Class One and Class Two were in their own groups, chatting away. Larry became the hot topic.

With Chloe being so gorgeous and Larry being so average, people couldn't help but gossip about their marriage and Larry being a son-in-law.

Meanwhile, Lincoln kept bugging Chloe, bragging about how hard he'd worked over the years and all the struggles he'd overcome to get where he was.

He said he was looking for someone to spend the rest of his life with.

A bunch of single female classmates tried to get his attention, but Lincoln only had eyes for Chloe. Abigail was hyping him up too.

Chloe ignored them all. Larry, sitting alone in a corner, pulled out his phone and started playing games, having a good time.

Just then, a commotion broke out.

A guy in regular clothes got beaten up and rolled into the hall, with several people chasing him, punching and kicking.

This caught everyone's attention. The students from Class One saw their classmate Sawyer getting beaten and wanted to help.

Someone whispered, "Don't do anything. Those guys are from Class Two. That dude is Visionary Ventures, a real tough guy. He's said to be in a gang and follows a big shot. Sawyer must've pissed him off."

The students from Class One got scared when they heard he was from a gang.

"Stop, Visionary, I was wrong. Please forgive me."

Sawyer was on the ground, covering his head, begging for mercy.

Larry looked up, saw what was happening, and frowned. Then he stood up, walked towards the hall, and shouted, "Hey! Knock it off! What do you think you're doing?"
