Chapter 101 Jerk, You Hurt Me

Winona had never seen such a narcissistic man!

She pushed him away forcefully, "I don't want to be tainted by your negativity."

Seeing Zachary straightening his body, maintaining a safe distance from her, Winona gradually relaxed and retorted to his earlier words, "What do you mean by 'another'? I haven't looked for one before."

"I haven't looked for one?" The man raised an eyebrow, drawing a scornful arc, "Aren't I one of those men you're referring to? I gave you billions of dollars, and before the bed even warmed up, you started clamoring for a divorce. Are there people in this world dumber than me?"

Zachary's words were more biting than venom.

"Forget about finding a wealthy and foolish man. Let that hope die. If I find out you are fooling around behind my back, I will make sure he regrets it."

He closed the car door and instructed, "Brian, take Winona home."

Winona wanted to explain, but she bit her tongue, deciding it was futile. It's pointless to reason with a dog!

After leaving the courthouse, instead of going home, she had Brian take her directly to Rebecca's antique shop...

Seeing her disheartened expression, Rebecca guessed that the lawsuit might not have turned out well, so she didn't ask and said, "Perfect timing, let's go have a drink."

Before Winona even entered the shop, Rebecca pulled her out by the shoulder.

They had been friends for so many years, so how could she not understand Rebecca's intentions? She helplessly said, "I'm fine."

"I'm craving it, you have no idea. My dad has been going crazy recently, saying that he wants to quit smoking and drinking, I can tolerate the quitting part, but he won't even let me drink. I feel like I'm being watched like a thief every day."

"Luckily for me, he's on a business trip today, so I have to make good use of this opportunity."

Brian dropped Winona off and left, but he turned around and saw her coming out with Miss Davis. Afraid that she might need a car, he stopped for a moment and found out that the two of them entered a karaoke bar nearby.

He thought for a moment and called Zachary: "Mr. Bailey, they went to a karaoke bar."

Zachary asked for the address: "Wait for them at the entrance."

During the day, karaoke places were less crowded, and there were even fewer intoxicated people, so it was relatively safe.

She wasn't feeling happy in her heart, and he knew that letting off some steam with a drink would be good.

Rebecca took Winona inside, opened a small bag, and booked the afternoon and evening sessions. "Let's start with three beers."

Although it couldn't compare to a night club, the environment here was still quite nice.

Passing by a store, Winona bought a few packs of snacks and ordered takeout on her phone.

Rebecca raised her glass. "We won't go back until we're drunk today. I've already sent the address to my driver, and he will come to pick us up on time. So, drink up."

After the incident with that lunatic at the night club, she had developed some psychological trauma. Although that person had received the retribution they deserved, the pain from those few hits was real. If she got drunk again this time, they would have to handle the aftermath properly.

Chugging a whole glass, Winona coughed repeatedly from being choked too quickly. She spoke up, "Drink less. If you want to drown your sorrows in alcohol, then it should be me."

"I'm just trying to help you loosen up. Cheers, let's start with a curse that Zachary bastard can never get it up for the rest of his life."

For a man, this curse was definitely the cruelest.

Rebecca brought her glass close to Winona's lips. She had no choice but to drink. "I feel like you're cursing me instead. If he can't perform, Fiona will definitely dump him right away, and in the end, the one who will suffer is me as his legal wife."

"Then I wish... them a blissful and loving relationship, forever."

When it came to drinking, once the ball started rolling, it was hard to control. Before it was even nighttime, the two of them were already completely drunk.

Rebecca frowned in discomfort. She had already vomited twice and waved her hand. "I can't go on anymore. I'll call the driver to come pick us up."

"Another round! You said we won't go back until we're drunk..." Winona raised the bottle and clinked it against Rebecca's, but because her vision was blurry, she accidentally hit Rebecca's face with the bottle.

Rebecca held her cheek in pain and exclaimed, "Winona, put that bottle down right now. If you dare to drink another drop, I will fight you..."

The sound of the door being pushed open came from the private room, and a tall and straight figure walked in from outside. Against the bright lights in the corridor, his facial features were completely indistinguishable. After the door closed, he turned into a dark shadow.

With narrowed eyes, Rebecca carefully examined the newcomer's face. "Winona, my driver is here. Hey, Mr. Butler, you've come..."

"Come back on time, and I'll have my mom give you a raise. Take Winona downstairs first. Drinking is fine, but her tolerance is deadly."

Although the two had been best friends for many years and had drunk together before, this was the first time Winona had gotten this drunk.

The person approached Winona directly, reached out, took the empty bottle from her hand, and slammed it on the table. With force, they lifted her up.

Rebecca, watching from the side, couldn't help but raise her eyebrows. The alcohol had cleared her mind a little. "Easy there. Oh, Mr. Butler, what's going on? You've grown taller?"

Winona resisted, struggling against the hand that held her wrist. "Don't pull me away, I want to keep drinking. I'm not drunk, Rebecca..."

She turned her head to look at Rebecca. "Let's keep drinking. I'm telling you, that bastard Zachary is a coward!"

Zachary's eyes burned with anger. In just half a minute, his hand was covered with red marks from Winona scratching him.

He clenched his teeth and bent down, lifting her up.

Winona dangled from his shoulder, her stomach pressing against his shoulder. Thankfully, she had just thrown up and hadn't had a chance to drink any more, or she would have vomited right then and there.

"Uh, don't... don't carry me like this. I feel like vomiting."

Already dizzy, she felt even more disoriented now.

Zachary carried Winona out and said to Anthony, who was standing outside the door, "Take her back."

Anthony glanced at Rebecca, who was still clamoring inside the bar, asking the driver to hurry up and pick her up. He nodded, "Alright."

After being jostled all the way, Winona was finally let down before she passed out. She pushed away the person in front of her and stooped down to vomit.

But her stomach was empty at the moment, and even if she vomited, it would only be acidic water.

Zachary stood aside; his brows tightly furrowed. "Will drink again?"

Winona held her face on both sides with her hands, avoiding getting it dirty. She turned her head, squinting at him, "Who are you? Why is your voice so familiar?"

She was quite drunk, swaying uncontrollably even while standing, her eyes filled with a hazy drunkenness. Against the colorful neon lights of the karaoke, it seemed as if two dazzling galaxies were hidden within.

Brian held a bottle of mineral water and stood by. "Let Ma'am drink some water."

Just as Zachary was about to take it, Winona suddenly reached out and grabbed his cheek. Drunk and unsteady, she leaned in, "Not only is your voice familiar, you also look a little like that scumbag Zachary."

She was really pulling his face, without showing any mercy, swaying left and right to get a clearer look. Zachary's face visibly reddened.

The man winced in pain, grabbed her hand, and forcefully pulled her claws off his face. "A little like? Winona, are you really drunk or just pretending?"

Winona felt like her hand was about to be broken. She bared her teeth and used her empty hand to snatch the mineral water bottle from Brian. Then, she hurled it at Zachary, shouting, "You bastard, you hurt me!"

Although Zachary had already experienced Winona's alcohol tolerance, he never expected it to grow. Before, she only talked, but now she even started to act. He held her against the car, lifted one leg and pressed it against her while holding her chin. Using mineral water, he rinsed her mouth and asked, "Come on, tell me, where did you get the impression that I'm a coward?"
