Chapter 643 You Have a History
Zachary stayed quiet.
Winona finished talking and then ignored him, calmly lowering her head to start eating. She had just cut a piece of steak and was about to take a bite when Zachary grabbed her hand. "Did you do that on purpose?"
"Didn't you say anything was fine?" She nodded towards the utensils in front of him. "Go ahead, don't be shy."
Every time he asked, he would just say anything was fine or whatever, which was really annoying. Her enthusiasm for the meal was already half gone.
Zachary leaned in and took a bite of the steak she had just cut.
Winona fell silent.
After dinner, the sky had completely darkened. The hot spring hotel at night had a more dreamy beauty than during the day.
Colorful lights hung from the trees, and jellyfish lamps were scattered across the lawn, exuding a luxurious romance everywhere.
Zachary had already booked a couple's suite in advance and reserved a private hot spring pool in a secluded area. Before dinner, he had asked the staff to set it up.
If they had more memories together, maybe one day, even if they got old and forgetful, they wouldn't forget everything. Real events always leave some impression.
Winona would definitely be pleasantly surprised when she saw the romantic setup.
Zachary was already planning their romantic evening in his mind, but he didn't expect to run into her. They hadn't walked far when a woman's excited voice came from behind. "Winona!"
It was Rebecca.
Zachary now had a reflexive headache whenever he heard that voice. It had almost become a conditioned response.
Rebecca had already changed into her swimsuit. She ran up from behind and put her arm around Winona's shoulder. "Come on, let's find the pool with the most handsome guys and let those two men soak by themselves."
She liked looking at handsome guys but didn't want to own one.
Anthony stayed silent.
Zachary's face had turned completely dark. Anyone would be unhappy if their carefully planned romantic evening was disrupted by two people. "Why are you here?"
Anthony said, "Ask Winona."
Up ahead, Rebecca was still complaining to Winona. "What does that woman want? Not only does she mimic your personality, but she also has a knockoff version of your background. Is she trying to be a substitute?"
Substitutes are only found when the original is gone.
Winona rolled her eyes at her and didn't answer.
Because Winona and Rebecca were inseparable like conjoined twins, the planned couple's hot spring turned into a four-person hot spring.
Looking at the rose petals in the pool, the high-end fruits and desserts by the pool, and the various romantic decorations, Rebecca exclaimed in surprise, "No wonder this is the most expensive hot spring hotel in Dreamopolis. The setup is perfect!"
She took a deep breath. "Oh my God, the smell of money is so sweet."
Zachary pressed his forehead, feeling a headache and not wanting to speak.
So, the scene that was supposed to be a romantic moment between a man and a woman turned into two women chatting and laughing together, while the two men stayed silent on the other side.
Zachary said, "If you can't keep an eye on her, can you buy a leash next time?"
After a few seconds of silence, Zachary kicked the dozing Anthony beside him and said irritably, "This is a couple's pool. Don't you feel awkward?"
Anthony finally opened his eyes. "I do, so I already made arrangements on the way here."
He raised his hand and looked at his watch. "They should be here soon."
"Who's coming?"
Just then, Samuel's annoyed voice came from behind a viewing tree. "Next time, send a precise location."
This was a couple's pool, and they had to search pool by pool, almost getting kicked out as perverts.
Not only Samuel but also Matthew emerged from behind the tree. Zachary looked at Anthony.
Anthony shrugged. "Now it's not awkward anymore."
It had turned into a group hangout.
Although it was a couple's pool, it was spacious enough that even with a group, it didn't feel crowded.
Matthew was about to take off his robe when Zachary frowned. He didn't mind the others, but he minded Matthew.
When he arrived earlier, Winona had smiled at him. "It's crowded. Go to another pool."
Matthew, knowing Zachary's petty thoughts, tied his robe back on. "Then I won't soak."
Zachary looked at him suspiciously. His reaction was strange.
Something was definitely up.
This blatant targeting was obvious to anyone. Winona glared at him playfully, as if scolding him. "Don't target Matthew."
Matthew smiled and picked up a fruit platter by the pool. "Winona, have some fruit."
Zachary was speechless.
Damn it.
Matthew was getting more shameless.
Noticing Zachary's gaze, Matthew looked up and provocatively raised an eyebrow. "How's your plan to seduce Ms. Harrington going? Haven't won her over yet?"
Winona didn't take the fruit from Matthew. Instead, she covered her face with one hand, looking exasperated at the two childish men.
Hearing Matthew's words, she looked up in surprise. "What plan?"
Was it about Maeve?
Matthew enthusiastically explained for Zachary. "Last time, Zachary came to me, saying he thought Ms. Harrington was suspicious and wanted to seduce her to..."
Zachary, with a stern face, suddenly grabbed Matthew's robe and dragged him into the pool, splashing water on everyone.
Fortunately, Matthew was prepared and held his breath when Zachary reached for him, avoiding swallowing pool water.
Winona glanced at Zachary. He was about to explain, but she nonchalantly turned her head and continued chatting with Rebecca.
After the hot spring, Rebecca dragged Winona to go swimming. Zachary and Anthony followed like bodyguards, not leaving their side. Forget about flirting with handsome guys; the guys avoided them, fearing trouble.
Rebecca finally had enough. She turned around, frustrated, and ran her wet fingers through her hair. "Why are you following us? Can't we girls have some private space?"
Anthony said, "To prevent you from finding guys with eight-pack abs."
Rebecca, trying to get rid of him, said, "I won't, I won't. Those are just scams."
"You have a history." Anthony bluntly exposed her.
"When?" Rebecca had completely forgotten.
"Night Club. You and Winona booked over twenty guys."
Winona, who was listening intently, was caught off guard. She turned her head and met Zachary's intense gaze.
He spoke each word heavily, "Booking guys for drinks? Over twenty at once? Mrs. Bailey, you sure know how to live it up."
