Chapter 551 Tie Her Up

Winona couldn't get in, so she just peered through the glass. She didn't dare make a sound; everyone was busy, and she was afraid her interruption might delay the doctors' efforts.

"Winona, what are you doing here?"

It was Matthew's voice.

He came over and looked inside with her. Seeing the medical staff bustling in and out, he frowned and asked, "What's going on?"

"I don't know."

Seeing it was Matthew, Winona breathed a sigh of relief. She glanced behind him and saw Samuel, who had arrived late. Although his expression was as calm as ever, Winona felt like his mood had improved since she last saw him.

Matthew said, "He'll pull through, don't worry."

Winona thought he was just trying to comfort her. She forced a smile and nodded. Then Matthew added, "Zachary is so stubborn. He wouldn't let you go to another man. Even if he had one foot in the grave, he'd crawl back."

Not long after, a doctor came out of the room. He opened the door and said to the anxious Winona, "The patient woke up briefly but is unconscious again. This is a good sign. We'll monitor him overnight, and if there are no issues, he can be moved to a regular room."

"Thank you."

Winona's heart, which had been in her throat all night, finally settled back in her chest. Her emotions had been on a rollercoaster, and she felt like she might end up in the ICU herself if it continued.

The doctor said, "Go home and rest. Staying here won't help. We have your number and will call if anything changes."

With that, he closed the door.

Matthew knew that trying to convince Winona to go home was pointless. Both Regal Oaks and her previous apartment were too far away. He put a comforting hand on her shoulder and said, "There's a hotel nearby. Go rest for a bit, at least take a shower, and get some sleep. Zachary might not wake up for a while, and you need to be rested. You don't want to be sick when he wakes up and needs you."

Matthew took out his phone, opened the camera, and showed it to Winona.

Her current appearance was best described as "a mess," with clear tear tracks on her face.

Winona was speechless.

Matthew saw her stunned expression and smiled, "Zachary would be upset to see you like this."

In the end, they went to a nearby hotel. Since Zachary was still in critical condition, Matthew and Samuel also got a room.

After her shower, Winona saw that Rebecca had sent her several messages.

"Why did you stop responding? Winona, did you faint from anxiety?"

"How's Zachary?"

"Don't worry, he'll be fine. With his sharp tongue, even the Grim Reaper would think twice."

Winona's hand hurt, so she decided to call Rebecca instead of typing.

Rebecca answered immediately, bombarding her with questions, "Didn't you say he was at the hospital? Is he okay? You stopped responding and didn't say why. You scared me to death."

"I just got to the hotel. I took a shower and saw all your messages."

"Why are you at a hotel?" Rebecca's voice softened, worried that Zachary might have died. "Is Zachary...?"

Winona could tell what Rebecca was thinking from her tone. "Zachary is in the ICU. Family can't visit, so staying there is pointless. I got a room nearby to rest. The doctor said he's stable and should be moved to a regular room tomorrow if all goes well."

Relieved, Rebecca started complaining about her situation.

Rebecca showed her hands tied with a necktie and her legs bound. "Tell someone to let me go."

Winona's eyes widened in shock. "What happened?"

Rebecca pouted, full of resentment. "You told someone to watch me. He's so uptight, and barely says a word outside of work. After you left, he tied me up."

Rebecca leaned closer to the camera, showing her face, "He didn't just tie me up; he was rough with me."

Winona was speechless.

Anthony liked Rebecca, so why was he being so rough? Did he have some weird kink?

Winona didn't see any marks on Rebecca's face, but her serious tone made her worry. Did Anthony hurt her?

Anthony, sitting at his desk, looked at his files, ignoring Rebecca's accusations.

"Mr. Lewis," Winona called.

Anthony put down his pen and walked over. He glanced at Rebecca, who was sitting on the couch, looking guilty but still trying to stare him down. He easily took her phone despite her resistance.

Anthony showed Winona the bite marks on his wrist. "Ms. Sullivan, please pay for my rabies shot when you come to get her. As for the rough treatment, she scratched my face when I pulled my hand away. She already got her revenge."

Winona was speechless.

Rebecca, lacking confidence, mumbled, "When did I get my revenge?"

Anthony, towering over her, said, "Do I need to take off my shirt for Ms. Sullivan to inspect?"

Rebecca, annoyed, said, "Fine, fine, we're even. Just let me go."

When Winona left, Rebecca tried to escape Anthony's grip and bit his wrist in her desperation. She hadn't realized she had broken the skin.

Anthony twisted Rebecca's arm behind her back and pulled her into his arms.

Rebecca's face hurt from his nails, and she was frustrated. She looked at his chest, which was close to her.

Anthony said calmly, "I can untie you, but Ms. Sullivan asked me to watch you. You can't leave until she comes to get you."

Rebecca was furious. Did he think she was a criminal?

She stood up from the couch, fuming, "Winona is focused on Zachary. She won't come for me. Besides, where would I go? If you don't let me go, where will I sleep? I can't sleep in your bed."
