Chapter 102 Forced if Disagreed.
Winona pursed her lips and remained silent. Just as Zachary thought she had finally sobered up and recognized who he was, she pushed his face away with her hand and unhappily said, "Stay away from me, you're annoying to look at."
Brian watched with fear. Winona's temperament was not exactly gentle, but it was never as fierce as this. He was afraid she would provoke the young master and get left here alone.
Suppressing his anger, Zachary opened the car door and stuffed her inside before sitting in himself, saying, "Return to Regal Oaks."
"I'm not going to Regal Oaks," Winona resisted automatically, even though she was drunk. "I want to go home, to my own home."
She was referring to her current apartment.
Naturally, Zachary thought of the owner of that place. A touch of gloom appeared in his mind, but he did not respond. He turned his head to look out the window, closed his eyes, and feigned sleep.
If Winona were sober right now, she would be able to see that he had reached his limit. The creases on his frowning brow could squeeze a fly to death. However, a drunk person wouldn't pay attention to someone's expression; she only knew that he was ignoring her.
"Talk," Winona tried to slap him, but Zachary quickly caught her hand.
The veins on his forehead bulged, and he roared, "Shut up."
Winona looked at him with a helpless expression. "You're being mean to me."
Zachary finally realized that drunk people were unreasonable, no matter how dignified and elegant they usually appeared.
"You're being mean to me."
He compromised, "I'm not being mean to you..."
Without realizing it, Winona swung her other hand at him. This time, he didn't intercept her, and she hit him directly on the neck, scratching his Adam's apple and breaking the skin. "Just talk if you want to talk, why be mean? Shut up indeed!"
She transformed from a helpless girl into a violent and ferocious witch.
Zachary's face had turned so dark that it seemed water might seep out. Expressionless, he took off his tie, wrapped it around her hands, and then pressed her onto his lap. "Don't move."
There was no chance that Winona would obediently listen to him. The more he told her not to move, the more she struggled.
"Let go of me!"
Her hands rubbed against his leg, even through the layer of fabric. Zachary clenched his lips as his Adam's apple bobbed up and down. He kept looking out of the window, allowing Winona to fuss.
After a while, when the woman at his side seemed to have had enough, she finally calmed down. However, before five minutes had passed, she leaned closer and pressed her ear against his chest. "Your heart is beating so fast..."
Zachary pushed her away and his face grew even colder. "Sit properly and be quiet."
Winona licked her lips. "I..."
"I want some water."
"...You're being too demanding, get it yourself."
Even though he said that, Zachary still patiently fed her water, afraid that she might choke. He did it several times until she frowned and protested, and only then did he stop.
A few minutes of silence passed...
Winona suddenly blurted out, "Let me help you pursue Fiona."
Zachary: What can I use to shut her mouth!
Winona grabbed his neck and pulled him closer, persuading him earnestly, "You won't be able to pursue a woman like this. Listen to me, I guarantee Fiona will be head over heels for you within a week."
As Zachary looked at her face getting closer, he seemed to remember something. There was a similar scene in his memories, but...
He chuckled self-mockingly and snapped back to reality, "So, tell me, how should I pursue her?"
"First, you go to bed with her."
At the red light ahead, Brian almost lost control and mistook the accelerator for the brakes.
Zachary raised his eyes and glanced at him through the rearview mirror.
Brian immediately sat up straight, looking straight ahead. If his ears could droop automatically, they would have already instinctively blocked his ear canal.
Winona continued with a serious expression, "She definitely won't agree, so you force her."
With Fiona, that venomous snake, she appeared noble on the surface but in reality, she couldn't let go of her dignity and vanity. Even though she could just say it straightforwardly, she always had to beat around the bush and make others figure it out themselves. If they couldn't understand, then she believed they didn't love her.
Marrying her was simply lowering the intelligence of future generations.
But she definitely couldn't complain about her in front of Zachary now, "Then she will surely cry, and that's when you swear to her, emphasize the consequences of breaking the oath, like not being able to die a good death, being struck by lightning, never getting an erection in the next life—basically, make it sound miserable.
Then you send her flowers, jewelry, houses, cars, whatever it takes. Deliver them to her dance troupe, make it as grand as possible. Even if she refuses, she actually wants it; if she says she wants it, she really wants it. You hold her immediately when she tells you to leave. Send her all sorts of luxury items continuously for a week, and she will surely be head over heels for you!"
As for whether she would be abandoned later, that remained to be seen, given her track record.
Zachary gazed at her blushing and charming face, a complexity he hid in his eyes. "You really understand her. What about you? If a man pursued you like that, would you agree?"
How is that possible! It would make me want to throw up! This fool! He thinks everyone is as fickle as Fiona!
But to make her argument more convincing, Winona nodded without hesitation, "Yes, so my friend, you have to work hard."
The man snorted and removed her hand from him. "Friends don't hold each other's necks and get so close."
Winona hmphed and thought to herself, No wonder he gets dumped when he can't even grasp the key points!
Brian had been a driver for decades and drove smoothly. The temperature in the car was neither too cold nor too hot, just right, making people feel drowsy. Winona's head was quickly overtaken by the effects of alcohol, and she fell asleep leaning against the back of the seat...
The next day, Winona abruptly opened her eyes from her slumber. She stared at the decorations around her for quite a while before...
She regained consciousness and realized that she was lying on the master bed in Regal Oaks; the hangover hit her immediately in the next second.
Her head was pounding...
Furrowing her brows, she pressed her temples and rubbed them before getting up from the bed.
How did she end up here?
Her memory stopped at last night when she was drinking with Rebecca. She couldn't recall how she left the private room or how she came back here at all.
Winona glanced down at herself, still wearing the same clothes from last night. After a night's sleep, they were all wrinkled up.
Sensing someone looking at her, Winona followed the gaze to find Zachary's eyes fixed on her, along with her phone held in his hand.
Without even putting on her shoes, Winona jumped off the bed and walked barefoot towards Zachary, snatching her phone from his grip. "What is wrong with you? Do you have no manners? How dare you go through someone else's phone?"
