Chapter 344 You Missed Me

Winona was speechless.

The car's air conditioning was on, and the temperature was just right for Winona, who was sensitive to the cold, although it felt a bit too warm for Zachary. He raised his hand to loosen his tie.

A handsome man with a great body shape doing this action was particularly alluring and pleasing to the eye.

Zachary's fingers rested on the dark tie, long and well-proportioned, like a meticulously crafted piece of art.

Winona didn't have a thing for hands. But for some reason, her gaze remained fixated on his hands, and even the discomfort she felt after reading that diary eased a bit.

Just as she was indulging in his pretty hands, Zachary moved and leaned in for a kiss.

A man who had been abstinent for days was like a beast starved for years, kissing her intensely. Winona couldn't resist it, her breath completely taken by him.

Instinctively, she tilted her head back to avoid him, but Zachary wasn't going to let her go that easily. She always tried to evade his affection, so he had to be more proactive. Zachary held her waist with one hand and pulled her onto his lap. But with the gear shift console between the driver's seat and the passenger seat, it was hard to pull her over with just one hand if she didn't cooperate.

Winona was dizzy from Zachary's kiss, her brain deprived of oxygen. If it weren't for his hand supporting her, she might have slid down.

After a long, deep kiss, he finally let go of her.. As he spoke, his lips brushed against hers. "Did you miss me?"

Winona remained silent.

She had been aimlessly driving around the streets, stopping here purely out of habit. During this time, she hadn't thought about him at all. When she looked up, she found herself at the Bailey Group.

Unconsciously, she had made this place her destination. Perhaps, this was a form of missing him.

Just as Winona was about to speak, Zachary kissed her again. Unlike the previous fierce kiss that seemed to want to devour her, this one was soft, lingering, and tender. With each soft touch of his lips, he gently caressed Winona's mouth.

He managed to speak between kisses, "Forget it. I don't want to hear you talk. You never say anything nice anyway."

Winona was speechless momentarily. She had planned to let him sulk for a while before explaining, but soon, she couldn't speak at all because Zachary's hand fell on the clasp of her bra, lightly tracing its edge before pulling back.

His hand gently traced along her smooth back but never went further.

His body was tense, and he planted dense kisses on her cheeks, neck, and ears. Each time he pulled back, it was with extreme restraint and suppression.

After a while, Zachary let her go, holding her in his arms, his chin resting on her shoulder, letting out a long sigh.

Winona's body stiffened, and she didn't dare to move, afraid of accidentally provoking Zachary.

In broad daylight, right at the company entrance where people were bustling in and out, they engaged in their intimate moment, fully aware that the windows did not offer complete privacy and anyone passing by could potentially see them.

She wasn't that open-minded.

"Go upstairs? There's a rest area in the office," Zachary asked in an extremely hoarse voice, kissing her earlobe intermittently.

"No."

Her lips were burning with pain, definitely red and swollen. Anyone with a bit of experience could tell something was up. If Zachary skipped work to stay with her in the office for a few hours, rumors would spread throughout the company in no time.

Zachary, disappointed, kissed her on the cheek again before retreating to the passenger seat. He pulled out his constantly vibrating phone from his pocket and answered, "What is it?"

Dylan said, "Mr. Bailey, the meeting will start in five minutes."

To give Zachary and Winona more time together, he had timed the call perfectly.

Zachary responded indifferently, "Push it back ten minutes."

Winona said, "I'll be leaving soon. You go ahead to the meeting."

The car was quiet, and even without the speaker on, she heard Dylan's words.

Zachary hung up the phone, glancing down, "You want me to go to the meeting like this?"

Winona immediately understood what he meant, her face instantly turning red., "No, I..."

"If you're depressed, don't stay alone. It's easy to get depressed."

"How do you know I'm depressed?"

Winona couldn't help but be surprised. In her mind, Zachary wasn't the type to be careful.

"When I came over just now, you were looking at the Bailey Group building, but you didn't notice me until I was right next to your car. Winona, I can see through the little schemes of those veterans in the business world, let alone you."

Zachary paused, holding her hand. "I can tell how you're feeling just by looking at you."

In just a few words, Winona was led out of the car by him. It wasn't until the receptionist called out 'Mr. Bailey' that she realized she had been led into the Bailey Group by Zachary. private investigator brought news: [That woman doesn't know who was sending her money. The card was issued in her name, but Xavier had been using it until just before the car accident.]

[The child has a congenital disease, not fatal but expensive to treat, requiring lifelong medication.]

He also brought a medical report of the child and a poorly made pendant, bought by Xavier at a flea market for $10, which the child had worn since childhood.

Everglade Penitentiary.

The guard came out and said, "Miss Sullivan, Xavier still refuses to see you."

Winona had been coming every year, so the guards knew her.

"Could you do me a favor?" Winona handed the pendant and the medical report to the guard, "Please give this to him and tell him I won't be coming anymore."

"Okay."

Ten minutes later, Xavier, handcuffed, came out, looking coldly at Winona through the glass, his jaundiced eyes full of fierce warning.

Winona sat down and picked up the phone.

She didn't rush Xavier, nor did she heed his warning, just sitting there calmly, meeting his gaze.

After a minute, Xavier finally picked up the phone in front of him, gritting his teeth, "Don't touch them."

Winona smiled, "What are you talking about? I'm a legal citizen. I just wanted to tell you, your son is very well. He doesn't cry or fuss during treatments and even comforts his mom not to cry."
