Chapter 84 Mr. Bailey is Lovestruck
Fiona had calmed down by now and looked up, saying to Zachary, "Zachary, I'm fine, don't worry."
Before they came here, Emily had already called Zachary, subtly revealing their plans for the evening.

Zachary saw it in her expression, full of coldness, and anyone with discerning eyes could sense his displeasure. Silence ensued and the oppressive atmosphere spread around him. As the host of this gathering, Thomas stood up under pressure to ease the tension. "Mr. Bailey, please have a seat," he said. He had set up this event to eventually lead to him meeting Zachary. Although it didn't go exactly as planned, he had still achieved his goal. He just couldn't determine if Zachary came for Winona or Fiona.
Just a few moments ago he had mercilessly humiliated Fiona in an attempt to please Winona. The thought that he had just made a grave mistake made him break out in a cold sweat, and he couldn't help but glance at Winona beside him, who gave him a "You're finished!" look. Thomas felt dizzy—It was truly game over!
Fiona saw Zachary's gaze fixed on Winona and called out softly, "Zachary...". Zachary withdrew his gaze, asking, "Did the investment talk go well?" Fiona's face showed a hint of humiliation, with two clear teeth marks on her lips. She shook her head and said, "Winona probably doesn't want Thomas to invest in our dance troupe."
Winona, who had originally planned to observe silently, burst into laughter at Fiona's words! She couldn't help but recall that since Fiona had entered, she hadn't said a word to her, let alone exchanged any communication with Thomas.
"Miss Clark, a circus needs performances to earn money. Just because you're standing there, should others eagerly hand over their money? The hesitation is clearly aimed at you—did dancing cost you your brain?" If the earlier remarks were just sarcastic, the last sentence was a blatant insult!
Fiona's face changed, but being a proud person, she couldn't react in public like Winona.
"Winona, there's no need for this. I have no intention of competing with you for Zachary. We're just friends. Just because he's married to you, does that mean we have to cut off contact with all opposite-sex friends?" Winona smiled sarcastically and replied, "You can have that intention."
Her words felt like a loud and humiliating slap, fiercely landing on Fiona's face. Fiona, who was already not in a good state, turned pale. She turned her head to look at Zachary... If this man had any feelings for her, there would be no reason for them to have no relationship after she returned to the country for so long.
Zachary squinted his eyes at Winona, who was pushing him away, and repressed his anger. He restrained himself and coldly said, "How much investment do you need? I'll negotiate for you." A smile appeared on Fiona's face, and she said, "Great."
At this point, Thomas seemed lifeless. He stepped aside as if in a trance while Zachary brought Fiona over.
The atmosphere in the private room quickly became lively. Thomas had come with the intention of getting along well with Winona, so naturally, he brought people who were skilled at socializing.
The girl standing beside Winona said, "Doesn't Mr. Bailey see that woman is a gold digger?"
Winona sighed and propped her cheek up, saying, "He sees it, he's just lovestruck."

With Zachary around, no one dared to make a loud noise. So even though Winona was sitting at the end, she could still hear the conversation clearly.
Zachary played with the glass in his hand and casually asked, "Does Thomas think Fiona's dance is not worth investing in?"
Thomas had only casually mentioned investing in a dance company previously, but now, thanks to Zachary's inquiry, he could only grit his teeth and say, "Miss Clark's dance is extraordinary, and if she deems it worthy of my investment, it means she respects me. Zachary abruptly responded, "In that case, let's sign it now."

Fiona felt smug, but she was careful not to show it on her face. She lightly shook Zachary's arm and said, "Zachary, let's leave it for tomorrow. It seems that there's a family gathering here today, and the contract needs to go through the legal department. It'll take a while."

Zachary said, "I'll have Anthony take care of it. It won't take much time, right?"
Thomas forced a smile and said, "This small contract doesn't need to trouble Mr. Lewis. I'll call the legal department right away."
Yeah, right. Let Anthony handle it, and he might end up paying a hefty price!
Thomas took out his phone and called the company's legal department, while Zachary looked over at Winona, who had disappeared.
Fiona followed his gaze and said, "I just saw Winona go out to take a call. Are you going... to find her?"
Zachary hadn't even had a chance to respond yet when Emily, seated beside him, chimed in, "Fiona, you have such a kind heart. Have you already forgotten how Winona treated you just now?"
