Chapter 465 Would you like to have a meal together?

Nicholas's face turned dark as the other guy showed zero respect. He lowered his voice and said, "Jackson, this is all a big misunderstanding. I already explained it over the phone. My brother was just there drinking; it was your people who started it."

Jackson replied, "If he wasn't so good-looking, that woman wouldn't have even noticed him. If he hadn't been at that bar, he wouldn't have been targeted. So, if you want to blame someone, blame his bad luck."

Trying to reason with someone like Jackson was pointless, so Nicholas stood his ground. "Jackson, my brother is young. This whole thing has really messed him up. So, I expect you and your people to apologize to him."

"The young master of the Ramsey family who came back to Dreamopolis last year, right?" Jackson squinted at Nicholas, then suddenly lost it and swept all the cups and saucers off the table. If the table hadn't been so big, he might have flipped it too.

He pointed at Nicholas, his face twitching with anger. "Who do you think you are, talking to me like that? Even your father wouldn't dare to be so arrogant in front of me. The Ramsey family has had a few recent wins, and now you think you can rule Dreamopolis?"

Jackson then turned his gaze to Timothy, who had been silent. "I was the one who hit him. But an apology? Not happening. Today, out of respect for your father, I won't hold it against you two. But if I see him again, I'll hit him again."

"I'm not in the mood to eat anymore. Let's go, this is so damn unlucky." With a wave, Jackson's crew followed him out, leaving the room quiet with just Nicholas, Timothy, and the mess on the floor.

Seeing this, Timothy pursed his lips and grabbed Nicholas's arm. "Don't be angry. Arrogant people like him will get what's coming to them. Someone will eventually put him in his place."

He narrowed his eyes, staring at the spot where Jackson had disappeared, and when Nicholas turned away, a slow smile crept onto his face.

Nicholas patted his hand and forced a smile. "Sorry, it's my fault. Don't worry, I'll make sure you get justice. I won't let you be bullied for nothing."

He then raised his hand to rub his temples and said, "I'm going to the restroom."

Noticing that Nicholas wasn't in a good state, Timothy stood up as well. "I'll go with you," he said.

"No need, you go pay the bill first," Nicholas said, handing him a credit card.

The restroom wasn't far from the private room, and Timothy glanced at it but chose not to insist on following. "Alright, I'll go pay," he said.

Nicholas entered the restroom and happened to run into Jackson coming out of a stall. However, this time, Jackson's earlier arrogance was gone, replaced by a warm smile. "Mr. Ramsey, how did I do just now?"

Seeing Nicholas frown, Jackson lowered his voice. "Don't worry, Mr. Ramsey. I've checked; there are no listening devices or other people around."

Hearing this, Nicholas said, "Good. Be careful in the coming days. If anything seems off, find a place to lay low."

They didn't talk for long. Nicholas washed his hands and left, while Jackson stayed behind to avoid suspicion.

As soon as Nicholas stepped out, he saw Timothy walking over after paying the bill. Timothy said, "Let's go."

Just as they reached the door, they saw Winona and Austin approaching.

Winona didn't notice them; she was talking to Austin. Her face was relaxed and smiling, showing no signs of sorrow for her boyfriend who had been missing for four months.

Seeing this, Nicholas pressed his lips tightly together, his brows furrowed deeply.

Hadn't Austin said he gave up on Winona? Why was he here again?

Matthew's issues still weren't resolved, and now there was annoying Austin to deal with. Although Winona had turned both of them down, she clearly leaned a bit more toward Austin. They were high school classmates, and unlike Matthew, Austin had never hurt her.

At least in front of Matthew, Winona had never smiled like this. Austin and Winona looked like old friends with no barriers between them.

Timothy watched them approach and then glanced at Nicholas, noting his deeply furrowed brows and cold expression. He asked with a hint of meaning, "Should we say hello? Or maybe grab a meal together? We haven't eaten yet."
