Chapter 249 Got Everything By Sleeping With Men

Zachary said, "You ..."

He endured and suppressed the phrase "so insatiable," his Adam's apple rolling several times as the veins on his forehead tautened. After a moment's strain, he finally retrieved a more refined expression from his bewildered mind. "Why not restrain yourself?"
He had completely forgotten the words he had uttered to the rabbit.
Winona, with a vehement force in her speech, retorted, "Why should I restrain my normal physiological needs? I neither hook up nor patronize a prostitute. What's unreasonable about it to seek a normal relationship? Moreover, inform your friend to let go of that girl, preventing harm to that young lady."

Zachary was speechless.

"Why bother to find a psychologist? If he lacks physical arousal towards his wife, find someone who can provoke that response. Isn't it often depicted in romantic novels that one's, arousal will only be triggered by their destined love? Let him allow other women to touch his thigh. Perhaps true love will swiftly follow."

"Is that what you think, too?"

What an implausible novel, defying physiological norms. Only impotent humans could control pure physical reactions.

Winona rambled, "Yes, if you can't stay calm no matter how other women flirt you, then don't bother me."

This was no longer communication. She was just talking nonsense and being unreasonable. He frowned. "It is advisable to steer clear of chaotic and frivolous content. Your thoughts have been poisoned; therefore, read more beneficial books."

The doorbell rang.

Winona went to open the door.

Zachary sarcastically said, "It's quite lively here late at night."

"Yes, order on the app, and takeout is delivered directly to the door. It's very convenient, and you don't even need to prepare utensils."

Zachary automatically associated various styles of handsome guys until he saw Winona actually bring in a bag of food. His gloomy expression eased a bit.

Winona could see what he was thinking at a glance and grinned. "Your thoughts are really dirty."

Zachary pressed his lips together, observing as she retrieved a food container from a plastic bag and delicately unfolded a disposable fork to sit down and prepare to eat. He inquired, "What about me?"

Tonight, he attended a social engagement. He was mainly there to talk about business. Faced with the unpalatable offerings of the restaurant, he took merely a cursory bite before setting aside his fork.

"Mr. Bailey, you have refined tastes. How could you deign to consume such junk food?"

When Winona was in the Bailey Group, she once ordered a greasy fish for him, and he acted very snobbish, looking at her askance. "You should serve such junk food in front of me. Do you think I'm a trash can?"

Zachary didn't remember that, but he remembered he didn't eat the takeout Winona ordered. "The food you prepared for Matthew was handmade, while for me, you simply ordered takeout. The disparity in treatment was indeed noticeable."

It was this again.

Winona put down the fork, annoyed. "He was sick at the time, restricted by dietary constraints. If I didn't cook myself, should I leave a note for the takeout? No one would took the order."

Many takeouts nowadays were semi-finished products, and the restaurant owners probably didn't even know what was in them.

She was aware of her cooking skills, knowing she couldn't win men's hearts by capturing their stomachs.

After dinner, Winona went to take a shower. When she came out, Zachary had already left, taking the trash with him.

The next day.

Winona had just arrived at the museum when she was called to Caleb Phillips' office, along with several experts specializing in restoring A-level artifacts.

"A compatriot abroad is preparing to donate a crown worn by a queen during the time of the Alexander Dynasty. After invaders took the artifact and the ship transporting it sank on the way, this exquisite headdress, which contained all the jewelry materials in the contry at the time, was submerged at the bottom of the sea for decades, severely damaged. It was salvaged a few years ago and bought by that compatriot. The compatriot requests that if this artifact can be restored, he will unconditionally donate it. The higher-ups attach great importance to this, so I brought you here to see if you have the confidence."

There was no physical object, only photos.

The seawater had severely eroded the crown, obscuring its original color and design almost entirely, leaving only faint outlines visible.
"The item will be delivered to our museum the day after tomorrow. You can take a look at the photos now and raise any objections. The leadership above takes this very seriously. There can be no room for error."

The office door was suddenly pushed open forcefully. Daniel stood at the door, his eyes red, chest heaving violently, clearly very angry. He stared at Caleb intently. "I am also capable of restoring A-level artifacts. Why wasn't I called to this meeting for such an important matter?"

He had passed the assessment recently and was now able to restore A-level artifacts.

He arrived late today, only to overhear colleagues mentioning Caleb summoning most of the experts in restoring A-grade artifacts for an urgent meeting in the office, seemingly for an extraordinary item. Rushing in, he lingered by the door for a few moments, unexpectedly spotting that the part-time employee, Winona, had been summoned as well. This instantly ignited him.

She was called to the meeting, so why wasn't him?

Caleb frowned. "Get out."

Daniel had been deeply provoked by Winona recently. He struggled for years to earn his place, yet she effortlessly parachuted in. If the age gap were not so significant, it might be more tolerable. However, the age gap between Winona and him stretched across decades. As young girl who hadn't even fully matured, what right did she have to perch in this position?

"I can leave, but she should leave, too. She's a part-timer, so young, why should she sit side by side with several professors?"

He genuinely admired the others, except for Winona. Even though he had witnessed her skills, he still couldn't accept it. She was so young, and being able to restore that painting was just luck.

Caleb stood up from his seat with a dark expression and said sternly, "She is here merely because she is the appointee of the higher-ups; if you can secure a name-drop from the top, even if you're just a C-level, I would not object. Not only that, but I would gladly relinquish my position with you."

If not for the dire shortage of personnel in their field, individuals of Daniel's demeanor would had long been dismissed.

Daniel sneered, "So, all this talk about skills and techniques is bullshit. The most important thing is to know more people."

He looked at Winona's face, which was more beautiful than the stars that conquered the audience with their faces in the entertainment industry, and her well-proportioned figure, squinting lecherously. "I wonder how many men she slept with to get these connections. With that effort, wouldn't it be better to become a star, rich and idle? Why bother with this kind of work that not only tires you out but doesn't make money?"

Present were virtuous veterans of the arts, and upon hearing his words, their brows instinctively furrowed.
With a cold smile, Winona gracefully strode a few steps closer to Daniel.
