Chapter 241 Shameless and Emotionally Unintelligent
Winona turned to him, raised an eyebrow, and smiled lightly, "Yes, not only do I want multiple partners,, but I also absolutely won't go for a man like you."
"What kind of man am I, then?"
Winona delicately enumerates on her fingers. "You're rude, self-righteous, disrespectful, arrogant. With low emotional intelligence, You never look for the reasons behind things or have an unpleasant expression. You're shameless. Most importantly, you bring bad luck to people."
Zachary's face grew sullen as he listened; he never knew he was viewed so poorly in Winona's eyes. "Don't I have any good qualities?"
"You do," Winona admitted frankly, "You have a good appearance, good physique, and wealthy. But all of these can't make up for your shortcomings. I can make money, too; why should I subject myself to being hurt by you?"
Who wanted to marry a man who cursed every day? She really wasn't interested in that kind of love where they insulted each other everyday as if there were nothing else to do.
Zachary's forehead was bulging with anger, gritting his teeth. "You don't want those luxury custom items anymore?"
Those luxury custom items weren't something you can buy just because you were rich. You had to pass a background check and spent a certain amount each year, and they were quite expensive. Even wealthy celebrities might not be able to afford one.
Winona didn't care. "I can wear cheap clothes, change to new ones every day, and it's no big deal to throw them away."
Zachary thought of the luxuries left by Winona when she moved out of Regal Oaks, including dozens of custom-made pieces that ordinary people couldnt' afford. She threw them there like trash and later reluctantly went back to get them, feeling pressured by him.
After being quiet for a long time, Fiona finally found an opportunity to interject, "Winona, why are you feeling wronged? Did Zachary make a mistake buying expensive items for you?"
Winona wore an expression that was hard to describe. "Fiona, maybe you actually like me rather than zachary, right? Otherwise, why are you always targeting at me? There are numerous women in this world. Even if you defeat me, it doesn't mean that Zachary will be with you. Instead of competing with me here, why don't you focus on improving yourself andmake him fall for you?"
Fiona instantly became extremely embarrassed. "You..."
"Sorry for my blunt remarks, but the logic was right. Reflect on your thoughts. Whether a man loves you has nothing to do with another woman; it's just that you are not the one he cares about."
Winona felt that she could be a successful debater.
Fiona couldn't say a word. She turned her head with tearful eyes, her voice full of grievance, saying, "Zachary..."
Zachary's gaze remained on Winona. He didn't turn back when he heard her call. Instead, he said to Matthew, who was watching the scene, "The patients are being harassed. What's your duty as a companion? Shouldn't you call security to kick her out?"
Matthew was speechless.
Matthew didn't want to be his companion at all.
Winona took the clothes to the bathroom. When she came out after changing, Fiona was already gone. Whether she left on her own or was escorted out by security, she didn't care.
The four of them left the hospital together.
Winona said, "I'll go back by myself. Don't follow me."
Matthew nodded. "Rest early. I didn't plan the activity well this time. I'm sorry."
He didn't stay long, either. Twenty or thirty employees were still waiting for him at the resort.
Austin said, "I'll drive you."
Winona joked, "You're going to drive me in a taxi?"
Austin had come with her in the ambulance, and his car was still at the resort. "If you drive me, you'll have to take a taxi to the resort and fetch the car first. It's troublesome. I'm not a child."
There happened to be an empty taxi in front of them. Winona was about to reach for the door when Zachary beside her spoke up, "I'll drive. I'll take you."
Winona silently opened the car door and got in. Through the car window, she waved to Austin, "Take care on the road."
As Winona left, only two people remained at the scene.
Austin put his hand on Zachary's shoulder, "Bro, give me a ride on your way. It'll fulfill your dream of being a driver."
Zachary bluntly shrugged off his hand. "No."
"Since you're going back to the resort anyway, let me get in. It's also contributing to the environment."
"Stop spouting nonsense."
Quickly, Austin said, "I'm broke."
His phone had gotten wet and shut down last night. He had used a nurse's phone to contact his sister on WhatsApp to transfer the hospital fees for Winona.
Now that Zacharyhad a car, Austin didn't want to take a taxi anymore.
Zachary looked at him with disdain. "You're so broke, and you still dare to pursue her? When she was Mrs. Bailey, she could pick whatever she wanted to eat and wear. If she really ends up with you, she had to wear $20 outfits. And you can't even afford a taxi."
Then Zachary suddenly remembered that he had thrown Winona's phone last night, and now she was penniless.
Austin fell speechless.
Austin wouldn't allow him to continue insulting.
"I'll go buy luxuries for Winona tomorrow to shut up despicable people like you."
Using the driver's phone, Winona called Rebecca and sent her store's address directly when she knew she was there.
After a while, the driver's phone rang. He answered the call, and Winona gazed out at the street scene, not paying much attention to what he was saying. However, she could feel him looking at her through the rearview mirror several times.
Winona's alertness kicked in immediately, but luckily, they were in a bustling area with congested traffic. Even if the car sped up, it wouldn't go faster than forty miles per hour. She reached for the door handle with one hand, body slightly bent, ready to jump out at any moment.
