Chapter 410 Winona, go to hell

Winona wasn't really into the big mystery behind the painting. She looked puzzled and asked, "If my mom already agreed to help you fix the painting, why did you still kill her?"

"Well, it was all because of Frank. Back then, he was always the star in front of our dad, full of energy wherever he went. But he had no weak spots, except for your mom. She was his only vulnerability."

Frank, looking blank, said, "At that time, our dad's health was failing, and he was slowly handing over power to me. The Turner Family's internal fight was so intense it was out in the open. If I had left the Turner Family then, I wouldn't have had anywhere to go back to. But I didn't know she had an accident."

"That's because our dad kept it a secret," Kyle said through gritted teeth, even after all these years. "He was about to die, but for your sake, he still warned me. What a biased father."

Frank's eyes flickered, as he hadn't expected his dad to be involved.

A boat approached from outside, the engine's sound seemed like some kind of signal.

Taking advantage of the emotional moment, Kyle suddenly stood up, grabbed the painting, and ran outside.

Caught off guard and with someone covering for him, Rodolfo only managed to touch the hem of his clothes. But to get to that boat, he needed to go downstairs and take a small boat. Although using a pulley would be faster, the situation was uncertain, and it wasn't safe.

With the increased distance, the risk also grew. Kyle was stopped by Frank as soon as he reached the staircase.

Both had received the same education since childhood, and their self-defense skills were taught by the same instructor. But Kyle had to protect the painting and defend himself, making him a bit stretched thin.

Kyle said with a sinister smile, "Frank, our dad favored you, left the Turner Family's business to you, and even the gold hidden in this painting. Why?"

Frank was shocked and said, "What are you talking about?"

Kyle said with a sneer, "Don't play dumb. I heard it with my own ears. Dad hid 20,000 pounds of gold in this spot on the painting."

With his abilities, that money as startup capital would allow him to create another corporation within five years.

"That 20,000 pounds of gold is in a bank account abroad. The place painted on the painting is mom's grave." Frank couldn't hold back and said, "Idiot, do you think this is a TV show? Who would bury gold in the wilderness instead of a bank? This painting was done by mom before she died. She said that when dad couldn't walk anymore, he could talk to the painting, and she would hear him."

Kyle's face twisted as he said, "It's impossible, you're lying to me."

Their dad cherished this painting and had only shown it to Frank before it was damaged. That's why he insisted on having Yara restore it, hoping she could find something.

But that woman was stubborn. Even after he hinted that Frank had seen the original, she still wouldn't go to him.

He couldn't accept that his years of planning had come to nothing. Frank had to be lying.

He couldn't shake the guilt over Yara's death.

"If you don't believe me, check for yourself. If Dad knew you were this dumb, he wouldn't forgive you."

Kyle shook his head, still confused. "You're lying to me."

Winona was just as shocked, not expecting it all to be a misunderstanding.

Kyle was quickly subdued, and things seemed to be under control.

Just as everything was about to settle, a sharp female voice suddenly rang out, "Winona, go to hell."

Winona turned her head and saw a figure suddenly rush at her from a corner.

The boat rocked with the waves, and the deck swayed slightly.

Zachary was beside her. Hearing the voice, he instinctively reached out to pull her into his arms, but his hand was blocked by another hand.

It was Kyle's seemingly gentle secretary.

He had been standing quietly since the chaos began, completely detached, as if he were invisible.

This delay cost the opportunity.

In the blink of an eye, everything changed.

Winona and the charging Eva fell into the icy water together.

Falling from such a height without any preparation, even with a life jacket, Winona swallowed several mouthfuls of water.

Eva fared no better, but she clung to Winona, trying to push her head underwater. She said with a sinister smile, "If it weren't for you, I'd be Mrs. Bailey now. If I can't have it, neither can you. Want to be Mrs. Bailey? Go to hell."

"Let go of me!" Winona kicked Eva in the belly, but the water resistance made it ineffective.

Two more splashes sounded behind them, one after the other—Frank and Rodolfo.

In her panic, Eva tried to push Winona towards the propeller.

Winona slapped her hard, not holding back. Eva's face swelled instantly, and the blood at the corner of her mouth was washed away by the seawater.

Eva, her hair disheveled, looked like a madwoman, clawing at Winona before saying, "Winona, how dare you?"

Before she could touch Winona, Frank grabbed her.

From his position, Zachary couldn't see what was happening below. He could only hear Eva's continuous cursing. From the moment Winona fell, a murderous rage filled his heart.

Expressionless, he ruthlessly kicked Kyle's secretary away. The man, with no self-defense skills, spat blood from the kick.

Ignoring him, Zachary rushed to the edge of the deck, ready to jump down. He saw Winona already sitting in a small boat and breathed a sigh of relief.

Someone grabbed him.

A deep voice sounded from behind, "Brother, long time no see. Do you like the flowers I sent you?"

The boat suddenly sped up, heading towards the open sea.

On the small boat, Winona was about to wave to Zachary to show she was safe, but the boat sped up before she could raise her hand.

Winona was stunned and instinctively tried to row after it, forgetting she was in a lifeboat, which couldn't match the speed of the other boat.

Winona said with concern, "Zachary is still on that boat."

She watched helplessly as the boat sailed away, suddenly bursting into flames. What started as a small fire quickly engulfed the entire boat.
