Chapter 388 Caused Such a Big Trouble

They reviewed the relevant records and found that the person who came every year was the tomb owner's sister.

Other than the family member's identity and a phone number, there wasn't anything else we could find here. Winona snapped a pic of the file and left the office with Frank.

Whether the owner of the tombstone's sister was someone else or Grace would only be known on June 16th when she came to pay her respects. Until then, Winona had to keep things on the down-low.

They each got into their cars. Frank said, "I'll dig into this Grace you mentioned. If you don't want to go abroad, just lay low until we find the mastermind."

Winona gave a faint smile, "Alright, thanks."

Frank didn't head straight home but drove to Kyle's place, a villa out in the suburbs. It was a new development from two years ago, and because it was so remote, not many people lived there yet.

Rodolfo parked the car and got out. He walked to the security office and asked, "Is Kyle home?"

The guards recognized Rodolfo and also knew Frank, the real head of Turner Family. They quickly stood up and respectfully said, "Yes, he is."

Rodolfo nodded at Frank, who then got into the driver's seat and drove towards the main house.

The security guard picked up the two-way radio to notify the bodyguards at the main house, but Rodolfo grabbed his hand and said seriously, "Mr. Turner and Kyle are brothers. He doesn't need to be announced when he comes here."

"Rodolfo," the security guard pleaded, looking desperate, "Please don't make this hard for me. This is Kyle's rule. No matter who it is, they must be reported first. My whole family depends on this job."

Rodolfo didn't budge, his eyes fixed on the security office.

Frank parked the car at the main house's entrance. As soon as he opened the door, he heard a woman's voice from the second floor, "Kyle, you have no right to control me, let alone restrict my freedom. What you did will come back to haunt you..."

The voice abruptly stopped.

A few minutes later, Kyle hurried downstairs and saw Frank standing by the car. He asked, "Frank, what brings you here?"

"I need to ask you something. I was in the area, so I dropped by. What's going on upstairs?"

A look of annoyance flashed in Kyle's eyes. He didn't want to discuss it, saying, "A useless but greedy woman."

Frank frowned, "Last time, because of your affairs, your wife made a huge scene at Turner Family. What did you promise back then?"

"Thanks for the reminder. I'll give her some money and make her leave."

"She still wants to be your legitimate wife. How much money do you think will satisfy her? I'll go upstairs and deal with her for you. I just heard something about restricting freedom. Kyle, that's illegal. Don't say I didn't warn you. We're in Dreamopolis now. You could run into someone with a government position at any time. If something happens, I can't protect you."

Frank wasn't really interested in Kyle's messy affairs. He just needed a reason to go upstairs. Rodolfo had people watching this place recently, but no one had mentioned a woman staying there. It was odd for someone to stay inside for so long without leaving.

"Frank," Kyle stepped forward to block him, "I'll handle this myself. She's been with me for a while. No need to make a big scene."

There was no argument or anger. They just stared at each other calmly. The overly quiet environment made things tense.

After a bit, Frank said with a faint smile, "Your sweetheart is quite the mystery. Fine, you handle it."

Kyle breathed a sigh of relief and asked, "What did you want to ask me, Frank?"

"I had some business to discuss, but given the current situation, forget it," he said, then coldly got back into the car.

Kyle hurriedly apologized, promising to send the woman away. After watching the car drive off, he turned back to the living room. As soon as the door closed, his face darkened, "Why didn't anyone notify me?"

The assistant who followed him in broke into a cold sweat.

Outsiders thought Kyle was smooth and gentle, a good-natured guy. But as his confidant, handling many dirty tasks for him, he knew Kyle's true nature was ruthless and vengeful.

"I'll go ask right away," the assistant said, about to leave.

"For such a small matter, you need to go personally?" Kyle's voice was sinister. He glanced upstairs, not knowing what he was thinking.

The assistant made a call and quickly found out what had happened.

A look of malice flashed in Kyle's eyes. He gritted his teeth and muttered, "It seems he's started to suspect me."

The assistant didn't respond, nor did he dare to.

"Did you contact the person I asked you to last time?" Kyle asked.

"Yes, it's all set. The evidence can be obtained at any time. If the police investigate, it's a complete chain of evidence. Five pounds, enough for the death penalty."

Kyle nodded and casually said, "Women are trouble. I can't be soft-hearted. A single moment of carelessness brought me a lot of trouble. Since she feels so guilty, help her fulfill her wish for the sake of the time she's been with me."

Upstairs, the woman hiding behind the door almost fell to the ground. Before anyone noticed her, she carefully closed the door that was slightly ajar.

She knew men couldn't be trusted, no matter how affectionate they seemed on the surface.

However, before the door was completely closed, a hand stopped it. Kyle's gentle voice came through the crack, "Did you hear everything?"

Frank drove to the gate and switched to Rodolfo driving. Frank said with a blank expression, "I'll find an excuse to get Kyle out of the house in the next two days. You find a way to get the woman on the second floor out. Even if you're discovered, it's fine."

After all, the two were almost openly confronting each other now, both aware of the other's intentions. "Be careful during this time. Whenever the car is out of sight, check it inside and out, thoroughly."
