Chapter 252 Chasing Ex-Wife Everywhere

They didn't chat for long as Winona had to rush to a meeting.

At this time, everyone was leaving work, and she was the only one going up. Winona waited for the people to exit the elevator before entering, and as soon as she pressed the floor button, Zachary and Dylan joined her inside.

Winona clasped her hands in front of her, her gaze fixed on the elevator doors, which reflected the figure of a man inside. He didn't look at her but stared ahead.

She clicked her tongue and addressed the seemingly upright man. "Zachary, is your company bankrupt? You're so idle all the time, chasing after an ex-wife who doesn't like you everywhere."

Dylan knew Zachary's character well. He was used to being wrongly accused and didn't bother to speak up. If it were someone else, he might retaliate, but with Winona, he could only keep it to himself and vent his frustration on Dylan.

Dylan hurriedly said, "Mrs. Bailey."

Winona interrupted him, "Don't speak. You and him are birds of a feather. Also, your CEO won't win a woman over with these outdated tactics from fifty years ago. Instead of following me around all day, he should focus on making more money. Otherwise, with his personality, he'll end up in a nursing home when he's old. Saving some money might help him find a better caregiver."

Zachary's gaze finally shifted from the elevator doors to her.

Just as he was about to speak, Dylan, who was beside him, interrupted, "I agree with you. So, Mrs. Bailey, we are actually going to the CEO's office to discuss investment with Mr. Watson. We've already arranged it over the phone."

Winona was speechless.

Zachary remarked, "Even if you don't want to see me, make sure you understand the situation next time before speaking."

Dylan did something incredibly bold, something he had wanted to do since joining the Bailey Group but had yet to dare. He directly shut Zachary up with a kick. "Mr. Bailey, I suddenly remembered something."

It must be noted that in his right mind, he is truly aesthetically pleasing, with even a furrowed brow forming a unique landscape, remarkably captivating.

Zachary replied, "What is it?"

Upon reaching the floor Winona was headed to, she displayed no interest in whatever Dylan had to discuss with Zachary, and simply exited the elevator.

Zachary glanced up at her retreating figure, catching a glimpse of Matthew in a white shirt and black trousers passing by the glass doors of the project department.

His lips pressed tightly together as he remembered the love letter Winona had written to Matthew, praising him for looking dashing in a white shirt.

Even though she has lost interest in Matthew now, seeing him daily brings forth his deceitful charm that captivates women, inevitably stirring her feelings once more.

With Dylan beside him, who had kicked him for no reason, remaining silent for a while, he became even more annoyed. "What's the matter? Cat got your tongue?"

Dylan replied, "Mr. Bailey, how do you reason with women?"

"Women can't be reasoned with?" What kind of twisted logic is that?

"They can, but you and Mrs. Bailey are supposed to be a couple. Between spouses, it's about love, not reasoning.

It would help if you got into the habit of agreeing with whatever she says. Even if she doesn't say it, you should think for her. It's all about pampering, relentless pampering. If she says you're wrong, apologize. The apology is what matters, not whether you're right or wrong."

Zachary found Dylan's words amusing, but it didn't look like a happy laugh. With a sinister chuckle, Zachary remarked, "She calls you a fool. Are you a fool?"

Dylan was silent.

That kick earlier was too light!

If it weren't for the high salary, accommodation, full reimbursement, social security, holiday shopping vouchers as gifts, and a three-month bonus at the end of the year, he would have quit.

Zachary continued, "You understand women so well, but have you ever had a girlfriend?"

Dylan couldn't help but retort, "Mr. Bailey, watch your language. No personal attacks, and have you ever seen anyone with half a girlfriend?"

Zachary fell silent and asked Dylan, "Do I look better in a white shirt, or does Matthew?"

Even with high emotional intelligence, Dylan couldn't handle such a provocative statement. "Mr. Bailey, I like women."

Winona arrived late, and apart from Matthew, everyone was already in the meeting room.

There was only one empty seat left beside Matthew. As she walked over to sit down, Matthew entered.

He was dressed in a clean and crisp white shirt and black trousers, but Winona couldn't see the youthfulness in him anymore. His gentle demeanor now exuded the decisive aura of a workplace elite.

For instance, during the recent meeting, two groups were debating over a plan. But when he spoke up, his word was final and met with no objections or dissatisfaction.

After the meeting concluded, Matthew retained Winona and another principal architect, inquiring, "Are you familiar with the street in Mode City?"

Both of them nodded.

Recently, that street was heavily promoted on an app that boasted about taking you back to the grandeur of the Alexander Dynasty with various local elements and programs.

Matthew said, "Let's go there in person. If someone can execute this project so well, there must be some special elements that are attracting people."

Concerned, he asked Winona, "Can you spare some time for this?"

Winona thought for a moment and asked, "When do we leave?"

"The sooner, the better. Construction is about to start here, and the final design for the first phase has yet to be confirmed. If we delay further, we might miss the deadline."

With the crown's arrival at the museum two days away, and her commitments to the villa restoration, Winona would have scant time for this place. She was also eager to complete her assignment for the Watson Group promptly.

Juggling three roles was truly challenging. Winona hadn't had a complete weekend off in almost half a year.

"Tomorrow morning, then."

Winona initially wanted to say tonight so she could see the night view depicted in the videos, but she thought she should inform her family first, so she settled on tomorrow.

"Okay, send your information to the secretary, and she'll book the tickets."

As they were about to leave, Matthew stopped Winona and said, "Two colleagues from another department are coming tomorrow morning. We leave tonight. Do you need to go back to pack?"

The suddenness took aback Winona. "Tonight? Is there something urgent over there that we need to deal with?"
