Chapter 205 Is Mr. Bailey here for a free meal?

After shopping for a whole morning and being too tired to walk anymore, the two of them found a cafe by the street and sat down.

Lydia asked, "What do you want to eat?"

Winona turned on her phone, ready to find out what good restaurants were nearby. When she was searching, she heard someone calling her from behind, "Winona."

She turned around and saw that the person was Austin Robinson, whom she hadn't seen for many days.
The man was dressed in a neat and crisp hiking suit, short boots, and his pants were tucked into his boots. Even though he was holding a coffee, he stood out from the well-dressed crowd in the surrounding city elites. He spotted Winona and also noticed Lydia sitting beside her.

He knew that the other person was Zachary's mother, whom he had seen at Winona's apartment door last time. Still, he politely nodded his head and said, "Aunt."

Lydia also recognized this person at a glance, her son's romantic rival. She calmly assessed him, noting that he was handsome, well-off, and had Winona all over his eyes. He was eloquent, and his smile was the kind of charming and mischievous one that women couldn't resist...

The more Lydia looked at him, the more she felt that her son had a slim chance.

Even if Zachary was her own son, she still couldn't stand Zachary's stubborn character.

Austin Robinson glanced at the shopping bags on the chair and the almost finished coffee on the table, deducing that the two had probably come here after shopping. "Aunt, you probably haven't eaten yet. I know there's a particularly delicious Chinese restaurant nearby. Do you want to give it a try?"

Lydia was about to refuse, but Austin Robinson continued, "I've heard Winona say before that you treat her like your own daughter. I've been wanting to treat you to a meal to personally thank you for taking care of her for the past three years."

Lydia felt a chill in her heart, and her limbs felt weak.

Was this already a declaration of sovereignty? Judging from his tone, it seemed he had considered Winona as one on his own side. Would she soon officially become Winona's godmother instead of mother-in-law?

Winona turned her head and looked at Austin Robinson, mouthing silently, "When did I tell you that Aunt treats me like her own daughter?"

Although Lydia did treat her well as if she were her own, she hadn't told Austin Robinson about it, and it shouldn't be him thanking Lydia.

Austin Robinson glanced at her and directly said, "I can't understand what you said. It’s too long"

Sensing Lydia's gaze on her, Winona awkwardly covered her face.

In the end, the three of them went to the Chinese restaurant that Austin Robinson had mentioned. It was really difficult for Lydia to refuse him, as he was being so hospitable.

The man had long legs and had been in the military for years. He was always racing against time, accustomed to moving at a fast pace. But from the coffee shop to the Chinese restaurant, he restrained himself and only took two steps ahead of Lydia to lead the way.

They chose a window seat in the private room, which provided a perfect view of the street outside. It was springtime, and the flowers in the green belt were in full bloom, creating a beautiful and romantic scene.

In the restaurant on the opposite second floor, Samuel Anderson raised an eyebrow and playfully kicked the side of the person next to him. "I think I just saw your wife."

Upon hearing those two words, Zachary's temples started to throb. The hurtful words Winona said to him last night were still fresh in his mind, pricking at his nerves like a needle. He wouldn’t care about that woman anymore since she didn’t want him. "I don't have a wife, I'm single. Don't drag me into this."

"OK."

Samuel Anderson responded and continued discussing their business matters.

After all, it wasn't his wife dining with another man. It was kind of him to remind Zachary, he didn’t have to go so far as to tie her up?

In fact, there was no need for Samuel Anderson to remind him. Sitting in his position, Zachary could simply lower his gaze and see the three people across the way engaged in an intimate conversation.

When he looked over, Austin Robinson was placing a bowl of soup in front of Winona. She was about to take a sip when the man next to her said something. She paused, moved the spoon away from her lips, blew on the soup and then finally took a sip.

Zachary's eyes revealed deep hidden feelings, and his lips pursed tightly.

Samuel Anderson continued talking for a long while, but the person next to him didn't even let out a single sound. Instead, he stared at the other side without blinking his eyes. This made Samuel Anderson a bit irritated. "It served you right Winona dumped you."

Whether or not it was because of his words, Zachary suddenly stood up and walked out of the restaurant.

Samuel Anderson asked, "Where are you going?"

"Eating with you makes me lose my appetite. I'm leaving."

Zachary went downstairs and headed straight for the restaurant where Winona was. When he arrived at the door of the private room, he heard Austin Robinson saying, "Aunt, you're Winona's godmother, which means you're my godmother too. From now on, Winona and I will take good care of you and make sure you are...".

Before the sentence could be finished, the door to the private room was forcefully pushed open.

The three people inside all turned their heads and looked at Zachary standing at the door, his face full of frost.

Grass is always greener on the other side. When she looked at her own son, it was like looking at a foolish pig. No matter how she looked at him, she found him displeasing and she couldn't be bothered to talk to him.

Winona was still harboring anger from last night's incident and had no intention of talking to him.

Only Austin Robinson raised an eyebrow and said, "Mr. Bailey, did you happen to come here for a free meal?"

Zachary walked in confidently, pulled out the chair opposite Winona and sat down. His gaze remained fixed on her face, except for the initial glance, the woman did not look at him again.

A surge of violent emotions rose within him, but his expression remained unchanged. The corners of his lips curved with a smile as his hoarse voice echoed clearly in the private room, "I came to see the woman who was weak in the knees after I personally kissed her last night. Let's see how she seduces another man today."
