Chapter 315 I'm Just an Ex-Wife

The rooms in the manor were just for guests to crash temporarily, so the soundproofing wasn't as good as a hotel.

The scream startled the guests downstairs.

The tightly shut door suddenly flew open. A disheveled guy with hickeys all over his neck burst out.

His shirt was barely hanging on, with only one button undone, exposing his chest and stomach.

Barefoot on the carpet, he yelled, "Security! Where's the manor's security? Get up here now!"

Reporters lurking nearby heard the commotion and rushed over, cameras flashing.

Blinded by the lights, he quickly covered his face. "Stop taking pictures, or I'll sue you for violating my privacy!"

"Ian, we heard you brought your girlfriend to meet your parents today. Are you planning to get married?"

"Recently, some folks saw you with a young woman at the OB-GYN. Is there a baby on the way?"

Everyone thought this was Ian, the idol who'd recently shot to fame with a hit TV series.

The reporters were thrilled. One female reporter even snuck into the room, hoping for an exclusive scoop.

As soon as she entered, she saw Ian standing in front of the wardrobe.

He was holding the door with one hand, one foot already inside, looking like he was about to hide.

She and Ian locked eyes for a full half-minute before she screamed, "Ian! Ian is in the room!"

The people outside were stunned and, ignoring any sense of privacy, rushed in like mad.

At the door, William had his hand forcibly pulled away from his face.

Everyone gasped.

They really went wild. His face was covered in marks!

Someone instinctively remarked, "Those kisses must have been intense!"

William wasn't a public figure, but his reputation was well-known, and some reporters recognized him. "Mr. Simmons, are you and Ian a couple?"

Given how things had escalated, William decided to curse out loud. He wiped his face harshly with the back of his hand, disgusted. "A couple? That guy barged in and pounced on me in the dark like a pig, kissing and groping me all over, leaving me covered in saliva, and even had the nerve to say I had a flat chest."

At that moment, he hadn't realized what was happening and thought it was an entertainment activity arranged by the Turner family for the guests. He had even thought, no wonder the Turner family was so successful in A City, given their hospitality.

Then he heard the person on top of him regretfully say, "You look good, but your chest is a bit flat. If you serve me well, I'll pay for you to get a boob job."

He was kissing passionately when the words jolted him awake, sobering him up completely.

It was a man's voice.

Being pinned down by a man was the most humiliating experience in his entire romantic history.

"Call the police, I want to call the police."

A crowd had gathered around the door, and Eva was among them.

She looked in disbelief at William covered in hickeys, angrily shouting about calling the police, and then heard Ian's angry roar from the room, her mind in chaos.

'Wasn't this room supposed to be occupied by Winona? Why was there a man?' she thought.

She turned her head, scanning the crowd, and immediately spotted Winona standing on the outer edge.

Eva pushed through the crowd, her voice rising with emotion. "What are you doing here? Weren't you..."

Ian was her uncle Peter Turner's most cherished child, and her third uncle Peter was the old lady's favorite son. The Turner family didn't allow their members to enter the entertainment industry, but Ian was allowed, and he was promoted by the Turner family's influence.

Today's incident was already causing a huge commotion, and she was sure to get a scolding. But if her third uncle Peter found out she was behind this...

It wouldn't just be a scolding.

Halfway through her sentence, Eva stopped herself, pressing her lips tightly as she looked at Winona.

Winona smiled slightly. "Wasn't I in room 2018?"

Their eyes met, and Eva couldn't tell if Winona knew something or was just trying to trick her.

She stared at her face, trying to discern something, but Winona's eyes were full of smiles, showing no signs of anything unusual.

Eva's voice was tense. "I just wanted to ask, weren't you drunk and resting in the room? Why did you come out?"

"The noise woke me up," Winona lazily glanced at the room, drawing out her words, "I didn't expect Ian to be into this kind of thing..."

"Winona, can you help me get rid of those media people first?" Eva cut her off.

She needed to convince that idiot Ian not to expose her before the Turner family sent someone to clean up this mess.

"I'm afraid that's not possible. I don't have that kind of influence. You know how persistent the media can be, especially those covering the entertainment industry. They camp out in all weather, and now they've got such a big scoop. What kind of status do I have to make them give up their bonuses and fame and leave obediently?"

"Aren't you Zachary's ex-wife? The Bailey Group controls the entire media industry in Dreamopolis. As long as you speak up, they'll definitely give you face."

Winona was completely unmoved by her words. "Have you ever seen a man gives face to his ex-wife? If that's the case, you stepping in would be more effective. Aren't you his fiancée?"

Eva felt that Winona was deliberately provoking her.

Her expression turned dark. "Even so, it's not public yet..."

William was still shouting about calling the police, and the scene was getting more and more chaotic. Eva felt like the entire banquet hall had come up, and the entrance to room was completely blocked.

Thinking about how the Turner family members were already on their way here, Eva's mind was in turmoil, her legs weak, almost unable to stand.

Winona supported her. "Don't be nervous. This has nothing to do with you. If anyone gets scolded, it's Ian."

"Isn't he your idol? Aren't you upset?"

"I'm a very open-minded fan. I don't mind if my idol was in a relationship. Forcing himself on someone, though..."

Eva was speechless.

The elevator door dinged, and she instinctively turned her head to glance. When she saw the face of the person leading the group, her pupils instantly dilated.

'How could it be him?' she thought.

She leaned weakly against the wall behind her, this time truly unable to stand.
